We just discovered Formosa about a month ago and we've already been back a few times. I love that it's opened later, since sometimes I'm not off work until after 8. We love to go in and just choose 4 to 5 things to share and I'm never disappointed. The spicy cold noodles are a must have! We also go for the Basil popcorn chicken. I love to eat the fried basil too, it's tasty. We've tried the string beans and they are crunchy and spicy. The cucumber salad is nice and fresh and is a great addition to the spicy noodles. My absolute favorite thing at Formosa is the pork soup dumplings. They have a nice crisply bottom and the broth inside is divine.

Safe to say Formosa has me in a chokehold because it has been my go to spot the last few weeks! I hate that I never manage to get pics of my food because I'm too busy trying to enjoy it! Stop in if you haven't yet!

I am a frequent customer here and can easily say the food is amazing! Love coming here with a few friends and ordering a couple dishes each. The service is always very friendly and informative. Always nice music playing, a nice bar set up and clean bathrooms. Must try if you're on 23rd.

For Oklahoma City this consider the best Taiwanese food in the area. Although it cannot compare to Tampa Florida or Dallas, they already did a good job for the food. We got the popcorn chicken to start. This chicken is good above average. Portion is good. The second dish is the fish tofu cake. This dish comes in skewers and easy to bite. We also got the weekly pork blood rice cake. My wife likes it because she is from Taiwan. The fourth dish is the shrimp dumplings in chili oil. I recommend this dish because of good chili oil. The last dish is the beef meat sauce noodles. I think this dish is just ok. Overall we like the food. If you can notice it, all these foods are street food. However, we enjoy it.

We stumbled upon this restaurant while waiting for our concert to begin at Tower theatre. Wow! The food and drinks were so good! We loved sitting on the bar facing the street to people watch while enjoying our east old fashioneds and basil popcorn chicken. Next time we're in the area we're trying more items off the menu!

One of the best restaurants for late night eats. It opens from 4 PM until 12 AM except Sunday which it closes at 10 PM instead. The food is the best feature of this restaurant/bar, absolutely delicious. The chicken chops were fantastically tasty. This fried chicken (thighs) was crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. The spice on top was what sealed the deal for me. The pork wonton in chili oil was also fantastic and so were cold summer string beans. Even though the pork wontons were not the best wontons I've ever had, it was good enough. The string beans is a cold dish which I am usually not a fan of but boy oh boy it was good. I think it was the simple seasoning that made it great for me, just garlic and diced green onions. It can go well with any other seasoned dishes. Absolutely recommend the 3 dishes above, just fantastic. Food is a 5 stars.Where Formosa lost a star from me is the PRICE. These are medium size dishes. When comparing the prices between Formosa and other street food restaurants, the price here is higher with fried calamari being $12.95. I guess this the fee for late night food, is it fair?Awesome late night place to grab a quick bite with awesome food. Located in the busy Uptown of OKC, this restaurant is also a cool hang out place. Formosa has it all, highly recommended for late night spot.

This is authentic Taiwanese restaurant/bar with good quality food but portions are very small.Good food but could be better. There just weren't enough meat on all of the items. Especially, the beef rolls i got had either no beef at all or extremely small amounts and i could not see them. The beef bowl also had barely any ground beef which is ridiculous since ground beef is so freaking cheap in the first place. But the flavor was pretty good.I am not trying to get a huge meal either. I am a skinny asian dude with little appetite. If i thought the portions are small, you will be even more disappointed.Besides the fact that there was no beef in the beef rolls and very small amounts of ground beef in the bowl, i would give them 4-5 stars but that didn't happen.

I was looking for a place close to the tower theatre and this place popped up right next to it. Wasn't sure what to expect. It opens at 4 on Sunday. We got there abt 630 and found parking (free) in the lot across the street. The restaurant has a nice patio area out front with several tables and stools along the outside rail. Good place to people watch. Inside you order at the bar. There is a menu there. It wasn't busy so we were able to take our time. Could get hectic if it's Busy if you are not ready. The young man helped us and telling us what the top sellers were. They have an eclectic Asian fusion thing going on in a tapas fashion. We ended up getting the basil popcorn shrimp. It comes regular or spicy. I asked for half and half but he said it's mixed but if I got the regular he would give me the spicy seasoning. It was awesome. The basil really popped and it was cooked nicely. We also ordered the ginger Asian salad with mixed nuts. Another hit with the fusion on the ginger with the nuts and dried berries. Next the crab ragoon. There are 6 to and order and they come out on a plate in an awesome looking star shape. Plenty of filing and great flavors. Finally an order of fried mushrooms. They have a tasty spicy mayo sauce and a unique sweet and sour sauce. There is also a full bar. Once you order you take a seat and they start bringing your stuff out with two sharing bowls. The salad first then the chicken shrooms and ragoon. I think the two guys running the front are the owners and they both were awesome. The chef was kicking the food out as the business picked up. Great view outside as well. Only peeve was they charged extra for the dipping sauces. From what I seen others order the average bill was pretty decent as was ours, so you would think tht could be worked in. Still was a very good dining experience.

So tonight I wanted to branch out. My original thought was bossam, a Korean dish, but after intense predinner negotiations with the man, we decided to try Taiwanese food instead. I have had @formosaokc on my radar for awhile and I am glad we finally pulled the trigger and went. It was sooooo good. Of course, as my usual, I wanted to order the entire menu, but we narrowed it down to 4 shared dishes. We got the basil popcorn chicken with spicy mayo, the pan fried pork dumplings, bbq bacon enoki mushrooms, and the beef meat sauce noodles. Terry loved the popcorn chicken and I thought the enoki mushrooms were the star of the night. Literally hands down one of the best things I've eaten in a hot minute. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, five+++ stars for him. After we get though eating around the world in OKC we will definitely go back to finish my agenda to eat the whole menu! If you find yourself on 23rd street for a tattoo or random piercing, stop in and check out the amazing food options at @formosaokc. #enokimushrooms
