Forest Building Materials

I'm always one for home projects, unlike my husband. I wanted crown molding for our formal living room so I came here not knowing where to go or whom to talk to. I walked right in and the guy told me where to go. So, I drove around back and went to their warehouse where again I was faced with not knowing what exactly i'm doing. I am faced with another friendly employee and he helps me with exactly what I need. He even offered me samples to take home.If you need wood of any kind for any projects these guys are great with wonderful customer service and they don't treat women any differently like some building material stores do. Not to mention their prices are awesome and you are giving back locally!

Ordered my door on 03/30...still havent gotten it but they sure have their money. I feel like they forgot to order it and the price went up. They want me to cancel altogether so they dint lise money on the deal. He promised me anotger fifm abswer tommorrow.

We ordered a door for our back patio from Forest and were told that we would have the door in two weeks. It's now been 6 weeks and we still don't have what we paid to have received a month ago now. Not a special, custom door. Just a door that we selected from their display showroom, for a regular sized door, that we sat at the desk with them and ordered. And we were flatly lied to. Do not trust this company to deliver what you order, anywhere within the timeframe you are told. It has now been 3Xs as long as they assured us it would be. Buyer beware.

Door brands not great. Storm door choices really poor. People ok but RUN to help man. Left 2 women designers having to ask for assistance, left them standing while the worker left to help 3 different men that came in later, and basically treated them as less than important customers. It was poor business.

It's not Forest Lumber anymore folks!I've worked for Forest Lumber for over 20 years, then as soon as Harvey Cooper died the Company was sold in 2016.Since then we have 2 (TWO) different companies that operate Forest and after 20 plus years of personal sacrifice and loyalty I was told that my position as in my job title (Security Guard) was being terminated.I guess it's the Corporation's way of saying thanks and happy holidays?

Terrible customer service. Paid for product that came with cheaper materials and they refused to reimburse the difference. We are still missing parts from other items and they don't return calls.Do not spend your money here.

We ordered windows from Forest , they were weeks late , there is no communication, no call backs , and items were delivered damaged. I constantly called to get one window repaired...there is not a lot of staff and the staff that is there doesn't really care. The left arm doesn't know what the right arm is doing ! If you need windows- go elsewhere!

If you're fed-up with the ever declining quality of materials of Home Depot & Lowes, go to forest.Forest is a lumber yard, a hardware/building materials store and a door, window and kitchen shop. I imagine they do more than that, those are just the things I've used them for so far.
