This place is a little bit of a hidden gem. Food was definitely delicious however the presentation for the food was just all over the place. They just threw it together in one box squeezed all together but no doubt the sauce that was on the chicken was sweet and sour and just perfectly delicious for the chicken. The chicken was crunchy somewhat but soggy towards the bottom due to the sauce being all in. I also got some of the corn Karipap looking pie which had rice and beef on the inside. That dough was a little too salty but the beef on the inside was just sooo good.

Stumbled upon this little Latin American gem! I've never had Honduran food before, and you can tell just by walking in how authentic this place is. They have a small parking private parking lot, and plenty of indoor seating! The pastelitos are literally to DIE for! They're sooo freaking delicious! They kind of remind me of empanadas. They're filled with rice, ground beef, and potatoes. I love the seasoning and spices they used, it all comes together so well. The taco flauta - also delicious! They have the perfect amount of crisp. Honestly the best I've ever had! The la Fonda grill platter was such a huge portion, can definitely be shared with another person. In my case, I was able to share it with two others! I love that this option allows you to try a little bit of everything. It comes with beef, chicken, pork ribs, sausage, fried beans, and fried plantains. The meats were a little too dry for my liking, but they were decent I'd say!All the dishes came with two sides of pickled onions/pico de gallo, and a cabbage salad. Overall, a solid 8/10! Great customer service as well!

This place, if I understood them correctly, is under new management and still working on their menu so getting started was a bit slow but worth it when we got our food. Staff was super nice, helpful, had a sense of humor, and from Honduras. Food was Peter flavorful. My only complaint would be that me carne asada was a little over done but when with that it had great flavor

If you have never had Honduran food, you are in luck. La Fonda is serving perfect, delicious, flavorful food. You could point blindly at the menu and pick a winner each time. They have breakfast that you can order all day. My favorite are baleadas, traditional Honduran Street food. They have a homemade tortilla folded in half and filled with your choice of eggs/avocado or meat. You can also get a plain one with beans and cheese. The fried chicken is so unique, plentiful, and comes with awesome sides (fried plantains, Cole slaw, and pickled veggies). Every meal can be split. The pork chop entrée comes with three chops! The set up includes black bean dip instead of queso, and each element is made in house, including fresh chips. You an order a dip with queso and chorizo that comes in a crazy tower. Don't forget to try the Aguas Fresca. They are yummy fruit drinks. The melon was my favorite. The weekends get pretty busy, but they always have room on a weekday. Come and try it out before everyone finds out about the amazing food.

Fonda K-Tracha. It's been in our bookmarks for a long time but never bothered to try it until today. Probably because we were 2 minutes away from this joint and our kiddos were starving. It was a lazy morning for them so with a late breakfast, they skipped lunch- never a great idea! We asked the waiter what they are known for. She pointed us to a couple of things. We basically ordered what she recommended. Baleadas (Flour tortillas w/beans, cheese and cream) for the kids, along with a shrimp basket. My wife had the Carne Asada and I had the 1/4 Fried Chicken. The dinner came with complimentary beans + cheese dip that our family enjoyed, especially with a dash of hot sauce. Unfortunately, the baleadas were essentially the same thing so my older two didn't care for it again after the appetizer. Apparently they can only down so much beans in one sitting. They did enjoy the shrimp though. We read about the yucca fries and we've loved them at other Latin American joints so my wife subbed her side of beans for the yucca. She enjoyed her rib eye dish and the yucca fries. She asked for the sauce that typically comes with it. Killer sauce! Her dish was supposed to come with plantains too, along with a salad and pickled veggies. There was a misunderstanding and they subbed the beans and plantains with the yucca instead of just the beans (frijoles). Course, we went ahead and asked for the plantains too. Overall, good dish. Great flavors and very filling. My 1/4 fried chicken seemed more than 1/4... and it came with the best pieces..DARK MEAT! Two drums and a thigh with a coleslaw salad of sorts and green bananas. Very filling to where I couldn't finish. Enjoyed the sauce on the chicken... paired well. It's definitely the kind of chicken that tastes best fresh. The only reason for the 4 stars is because the place wasn't the cleanest. Our family enjoys hole in the wall joints but we're not keen on having our footwear sticking to the floor. I guess it's a great way to get people to stay! We also thought the service could be better. It wasn't bad at all but we constantly had to ask for things. It may have been because it's a family joint or something because my wife believes our waiter could be the daughter. Not a huge deal at all. We found out from the staff that the food is mostly Honduran. Glad we tried it out! Now to the next one..

I have no idea what Fonda K-Tracha means but it's a neat place. They have plenty of seating inside the restaurant; plus I saw some outdoor seating to the side of the restaurant. The food is pretty amazing and the horchata is out of this world delicious. It was my introduction to horchata and one helping of the drink was not enough. I took a second horchata to go for the ride home. The food is cooked to order with fresh ingredients. The portions are huge so don't be shy about sharing your entrée with another person. All orders come with homemade salsa, bean dip, and chips. Other than the refreshing horchata, I recommend the plantains and fried yucca. I got so full eating the chips, plantains, and fried yucca that I didn't get to try the main entrees that we ordered, which appeared to be just as delicious from what I heard. Service was excellent and there is plenty of parking. Don't be fooled by the tinted windows. Get yourself in the door and enjoy this family-owned business!

So glad that I found someone else who wanted to try some Honduran food with me at Fonda K-Tracha!We met for lunch on a weekday during the week after Christmas. I'm not sure how busy they usually are during the week, but we were seated right away. Service was great - attentive but not pushy. Our orders came out in a reasonable amount of time and matched the menu descriptions. To start, our server brought us a basket of homemade tortilla chips and black bean dip coated with queso fresco. Neither of us care for chips very much, but the chips had that great crunch that you get from making them yourself shortly before serving them.I ordered the fried fish (pescado frito). It comes with coleslaw, pickled onions, pico de gallo, rice & black beans, and fried bananas. The sour veggies were just the right contrast to the fried fish and fried bananas. I also liked the white and red sauces that were drizzled over the fried bananas. It was nice to have some bananas with and without the sauces. They also tasted great with some added salt. As I slowly learn more about Central American food, I'm appreciating the differences between Tex-Mex, Mexican, and countries south of Mexico. It's great to have a Honduran restaurant in Warr Acres to go with the Tex-Mex and Mexican places that are already there.
