Flower Garden Park

Flower Garden Park is a nice neighborhood park. I really like the design and how there are plenty of trees to provide the needed shades. The name may be a misnomer as there is no flower garden. It would be nice if there is one. Relatively small in size. There's a walking trail, a basketball court, and no playground. There was one person in the park on this Sunday afternoon.

This is a cute little park in the middle of OKC that takes up about 1 1/2 - 2 city blocks. My pup and I walked it, to get fresh air. The air smelt so sweet; apparently there are benefits to the Corona-19 virus. There was only one other person at the park and he was playing basketball alone. There is play equipment at the park, which stood empty and alone.Because it was a Sunday, there was a need for someone to pick up the trash. There's also a couple of picnic tables.

This is a surprisingly neat, clean and small/midsized city park. We love that it has a number of trees providing much needed shades. They have small pathways that you can stroll along and a good place to walk your doggo. As you can see in my pics, they have a pretty decent size playground area for the kiddos. No splash park though.Since we visited OKC for a short day trip with our puppy, this is a great place for a break after lunch and for my puppy to stretch his legs. There is another larger park with Tennis courts down the street but it didn't look as clean.The only disappointment is that I was expecting to see lots of flowers in this so called "Flower Garden Park" but I could not see any.
