I stopped in last week for some ryazhenka (Russian-style baked kefir) and ended up leaving with delicious Lithuanian-style rye bread, Persian tea, Polish-style pierogi, two jars of carviar cream, a jar of taramosalata, Bulgarian feta cheese, Greek bergamot jam, and a score of little Ukrainian candies.Always a haul at European Store Oklahoma!

A quirky little spot you're unlikely to happen upon by accident..... In a world suffocating under the weight of homogenous big bulkery, you'd be doing yourself a favor by stepping out of routine to browse the shelves here, even (or maybe particularly) if you can't read Russian in order to know precisely what you're looking at. I have long-ago memories of places like this - small indie ethnic shops run by immigrants, offering a glimpse into exotic places. Back then, before the immediate gratification of online shopping, it truly was a treat to experience. Let me tell you though, it still is. Remove yourself from the mind-numbing experience of 'virtual' and step into the 'real'. Be greeted by the lady with the Russian accent, slow down, engage your brain to look at foreign products; see if the label photos help you deduce the contents, or just ask if you're truly stumped. Helpful hint: the decadent chocolate brandy beans will be self-evident. I do wish items had prices; my first visit was a budget crapshoot, involving a lot of guesswork. Luckily upon checking out it happened that I was relatively close, but if you need to know exactly, I'm sure the nice lady will tell you. You only have to be prepared to ask.

My friend and I found the store through Tik Tok and stopped by while we were in OKC visiting an Expo. Absolutely worth the little side stop. It's a very tiny store, but there's so much inside. If you don't speak any of the Slavic and adjacent languages you will need a good visual translation app to shop, however, as most things aren't packaged in dual language in a significant capacity (which is pretty standard for imported goods). But given the majority of them do have pictures of what's in the package, and sometimes the ingredients are in English on the back, it's still fairly easy to understand what you're getting- especially if you're already familiar with the basics of Eastern European foods before you go shopping. The woman who was in the store when I was there was also incredibly nice to us when we were checking out, and we had a lovely conversation despite the language barrier.I'll definitely be stopping by every chance I get when I'm in the area, despite that sadly not being very often.

Genna from The Creperie recommend I come to this store since I am always trying to find unique items to take to get togethers and parties. It is nestled next to a Jersey Mike's near the Starbucks on NW 36th and May. For those that have been around this area, it is close to the Egyptian restaurant ( that has long closed). When you enter, the aroma of Camille (sp?) tea invites you in. This is a pretty tiny store but very clean and organized. There were 2 ladies in there and were very helpful since most of the products come from Russia and there isn't much translation on boxes or packaging. It has a little seating area to get flavored teas for 2-4 people. I stated that I was just looking for something to take to a birthday party and they suggested this frozen cake (with nuts) for $17.50. One of the ladies stated that it was a hit at her get togethers. I also got some almond cookies and a coffee type swirl roll...hey I am up for trying almost anything... And it was reasonably priced... They do carry liquor filled chocolate like Brandy in chocolate or cherry liquor or other assortments. Something that is neat is that the candy is in much smaller sizes so you don't feel like you will be in a diabetic coma after. This is a dated event but Saturday the 10th of August, there is a Pelmeni tasting demo from 11am-7pm as seen in the attachment

I really like this store. They have foods from the Ukraine, Poland, Germany, etc. and their prices are reasonable. For example, I bought a box of liqueur filled chocolates for $3.99 and another for $5.99. I bought a roll of veal bologna for $6.60. They have such a unique array of products. I've gotten sausages similar to bratwurst and knackwurst here. I've seen a lot of things I'm interested in, but had no idea what they were, but in time I'll branch out and try more. The people are very nice and are helpful. The do require you to buy $15 to use a credit card.

Make sure you're not in a hurry and don't need help. Non-Russian customers are completely ignored and the checkout process is agonizingly slow. Never going back.

Fun family run store, and the only one of its kind I have found. The food and snack options are extremely unique and I have yet to find a friendlier family run store.

Pay attention to the prices! Ask about the price of each item before you put it in your basket. Lastly, before you leave the shop, check your receipt and see if the prices and items match with what you bought. If not, dispute on the spot. Unfortunately for me, I found items I haven't purchased after I got home.
