El Tapatio

While heading south on Hw.75 my wife and I, along with some friends stopped at El Tapatio in Okmulgee for dinner. There seems to be plenty of parking. the restaurant appears to be clean with an abundance of servers. We were greeted at the door with a friendly host that guided us to our table. Our waiter was very professional, courteous and efficient. We received plenty of complimentary chips and salsa. We also ordered a small bowl of their white sauce dip that was very tasty. I ordered the special dinner. You really don't want to order this item unless you have a huge appetite. I'm a big man and a big eater. I couldn't eat it all. My wife ordered a taco salad. Our friends ordered the pineapple fajitas and shrimp cocktail. Everyone was pleased with their food and service. The only issue I had was my order came with a tamale that I found to be very dry and was lacking flavor. That's the reason for four starsI do recommend this restaurant, and plan to stop again the next time I pass through Okmulgee.

They are the most affordable and friendliest Mexican restaurant in town! The atmosphere is warm and the servers are attentive. The menu includes a variety of options including vegetarian meals to choose from.

Although Yelp won't allow a review this short, this visit can be summed up with three syllables: "WHITE QUESO". Go to El Tapatio and get some. Ask them to put it on your food and eat it. You will not be disappointed!

El Tapatio was recommended highly and Yelp seemed to agree, so I went !First thing I noticed, is that the parking lot was full, a good sign!I was seated promptly and drink ordered at the same time !Chips and salsa were great, I also had queso .My waiter was very helpful and recommended the beef and chicken fajitas. The food is always phenomenal and the service is always quick and they are so nice! We love to eat here when we have family in town. Would recommend!

Food was excellent, we had the chicken chipotle and the Chile Colorado, the food was very tasty, nice big portions and the price was great. The strawberry margaritas were super good, highly recommended.Staff was friendly and courteous.

Good food, good prices, quick service, pleasant though maybe a little noisy surroundings. I had a #3. Taco, enchilada, and reyino (sp). Wonderful! Fresh, and tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant in Okmulgee , just off highway 75.

They make great food and get the food out and on your table very quickly. The service could be slightly better, and their water tastes nasty sometimes, but overall a very good experience.

Always good food and friendly service. The honey and I enjoy El Tap very much. And just today my coworker and I had lunch, take out, it was fresh and on point
