El Sombrero

Well we stopped to stay in Shamrock and thought we could get some good Mexican food. I'm sorry to say that the food is truly horrible. That's really the only way I can describe it. Also if you like any kind of sauce besides Tobasco (???) then forget it. No sauce! And no flavor. Just gross.

I grew up in Shamrock and it was always a race every Wednesday to go catch lunch at El Sombrero! I've lived in Amarillo and now live in Lubbock and let me tell you that NOT ONE Mexican restaurant can cook a chile relleno that lives up to the standard El Sombrero puts out.

Love, love, love this restaurant!! The lunch buffet's are soooooo good, fast and the price is perfect!! Evening dinner is worth the wait, they make everything!! Love is in this restaurant!!

Love their Chile Relleno and stuffed avocado! Their queso and salsa are delicious too! Super friendly and great service!

This is my personal favorite Mexican Restaurant in this area, has a drifferent specialty each day with Wednesday being my favorite with all you can eat homemade chili rellenos and everyday enchiladas a great place4 star for me

Super delicious. Had the taco plate (with chicken enchilada) and supreme nachos. Both were delicious. Couldn't believe how tasty the chips were. The cook gracefully made our order to go even they were basically closed and cleaning up. Very satisfying conclusion to a long day of road-tripping.

Best best best Chile relleno anywhere in the world!! Hand prepped and fried fresh per order. I mean, I've never had anything that wasn't great but the Chile relleno is amaaaaazing. Wednesday afternoon is all you can eat of these gems! This is family fun and sometimes you wont find them open due to something in the family - just keep trying. Great people and great food who appreciate your support of local business!
