This is becoming one of my new favorite places! I love the atmosphere and all of the workers are extremely nice. Even with a language barrier, everybody makes you feel so welcome. I had the oysters and one of the mocajete bowls. And everything was a 10 out of 10.!!!!!!! will definitely be going back.

Exterior is not very appealing not very inviting, however once inside the waitresses were very welcoming and attentive. Food was decent, flavored and proportionate. Arrachera meat was a little tough.

If you think about this restaurant as a restaurant in Mexico, the issues go away. The issues are tables that could be cleaner and the same with the floor. On the other hand, I was there only noon-Hispanic person in the restaurant and I was referred by a Hispanic person. The overall theme is the sea, which goes hand-in-hand with the name. Mariscos means shellfish); bucanero is a pirate. Do this is the overall theme. The music was Hispanic and their was the Hispanic channels on the tv. The salsa is hot and yummy. I could taste the veggies in the salsa. They don't have Jarrito's (Hispanic pop) but they do have Topo Chico which comes in a earthen glazed cup like in Mexico. Generally, I don't like temple cheese dip, and I'm honestly not sure it's authentic, but this one actually tastes like cheese. I ordered the shrimp rellenoes (is this the correct plural?) My camarones relleno was humongous. It had more crust than I like and was extremely messy, so I eventually scalped my relleno to mostly the inside. I tried the beans and my goodness, they were the best beans I've ever had. The rice was good today, but the lightly flavored rice of central and South America. P.S. there were beggars outside which was ignored by the restaurant. I think this is indicative of the Hispanic culture of love and let live

I have seen the reviews and yes the building might not be aesthetically please but if you are craving Mexican seafood then this is an amazing place to go eat at. I love ordering octopus tostadas which would be similar to pico de gallo with octopus. I also love ordering green aguachiles or as we say it in Spanish aguachiles verdes those tostadas have shrimp that have been soaked in a spicy Lemon sauce. Perfect for anybody like me that likes lime flavored stuff. Steaks are also good here.

Ok so upon a suggestion I decided to try this place. On appearances its a bit run down looking but the parking lot was full and thats usually a good sign. The menu takes a bit to go over because its in spanish and then some words are listed at the end in english - pretty much the proteins are in english however if you dont know mexican foods then you are a little unsure how this protein is prepared and with what it will come out like. I took the safe route and ordered micheladas, cervice, and steak fajitas. Everything was delicious - however the waitress was a bit slow to check on us, or bring the check and i'm very open minded having worked in the service industry but after we were done eating we waited about 15 mins for the check as we just sat there looking for her (note at this point it was not busy) The dishes were great, they are in the $10 range and big. The micheladas are so cute they come in a strange clay mug with celery, cucumbers and shrimps (with heads and body attached) hanging on the side. Overall if you want authentic mexican with an emphasis on seafood then I suggest this place!

Food is pricey, but it's worth every penny! I got the camarones culichi and it was amazing! They bring out fresh tortillas and they're the best tortillas I've ever had. I didn't know tortillas could be that delicious. Would put 6/5 stars if I could!
