This place is legit! Don't expect Mexican food, take it for what it is. All handmade, authentic El Salvadorian cuisine. These ladies know what they're doing and the food it just awesome. Hole-in-the-wall amazing!!!

It's a little hole in the wall joint but the food is incredible and the service was nice. I ordered the carne asada and was completely satisfied with my choice. The beans and rice were impeccable and the bread was delicious. 8/10 would come again!UPDATE: I came again on 06/09/2024 and the chicken tamales were just unacceptable. Very little meat and it was quite undercooked at that so all you got was a plate full of corn. 2/10 would not recommend the tamales.Con: No fountain drinks so you will be getting up-charged for bottles.

My partner passed this place when he had to detour due to some road closures and he craved pupusas every since so we had to try it. Originally we ordered online and paid and for whatever reason our order was canceled. I guess they were out of one of the items I ordered so when we got there we had to place our order again (they did call me and left a message but I assumed it was a spam call, so that's on me!). We ended up ordering 5 of the mixed pupusas and they were delicious and a pretty good size. It came with the shredded veggies and dipping salsa. They tasted freshly made and I was not disappointed. We took took to go and when we got back home on the NW side of OKC, they were still super hot, in a good way! I also ordered horchata, it was a little too sweet for me but I also haven't been doing much sugar so take that for what it is.

I absolutely hate leaving bad reviews. I really do. But I'm currently at this restaurant and have been sitting waiting for an hour for our food. At 1:31 we placed our orders (I know because I took a vid on insta of the menu at that time) and at this moment it is 2:31 and we're still waiting. No water was given, no asking if we wanted refills on our juices, no acknowledgement besides them dropping off my step-mom's fried yucca about 10 mins ago. Granted, the yucca tastes great, but this is ridiculous. At least tell us that it will take a while because you're busy or short handed or whatever, or offer water. WATER.At this point, my dad is ready to leave money on the table for the drinks and the one dish they delivered. Also, we've asked them for updates a couple of times, and all they say is "it's coming". No apology.---Edit: so we got our food at about 2:40pm. The taste was really good for the pupusas, and the portions were really big! Such a shame we had to wait so long for them. My tamal came about 15 mins later, and that was underwhelming unfortunately. Maybe it's because I'm used to Mexican ones? Not sure, but it was pretty cheap so not a big deal. We did notice that a family who sat behind us 30 mins after we ordered got their food right after we got ours...So overall, even though the food was good, the lack of communication and service is a no for us. Just come expecting that, or order ahead for takeout and you should be fine though. I think we'll stick to that in the future since the pupusas were so good!

The lady working there was really nice. We had one of each pupusa, the chicken tamale, empanadas, and my friend had the steak meal. Each pupusa was huge, but very little filling and lots of meal. It needed salt or seasoning and was bland. The tamale was almost all corn and very little chicken and again very bland. The steak was okay but nothing spectacular.

Cute little pupusa place. Not only do they have tasty, fresh, and huge pupusas, they also have fried Yucca con Chicharron. Safe to say I was in heaven. And not to mention the different selection of aguas frescas it's not your regular quaint cup of refreshment either, they serve a a whole mug of the sweet Marañon drink. I went for the pupusas and will definitely be returning to try the rest of the dishes in this cute little hole in the wall.

Fancy? Ha! ANYTHING BUT!Posh part of OKC?Oh, HELL no!(This joint's next to a fleabag motel on SW 29th Street that, I'm pretty sure, has rented by the hour since God was a child.)But a really good place for those who like to eat well, and at modest prices? Yes. Yes. A thousand times YES.Tangy, homemade curtido with just the right amount of cumin.Chewy, flavorful pupusas stuffed with loroco flowers. (Pork and bean options are also available.)Tasty, Salvadoran-style tamales stuffed with shredded chicken. (These are softer than Mexican tamales, true, but they're still very nice.)Clean venue with immaculate restrooms. (I'm a stickler for clean lavatories. PERIOD.)VERY friendly staff!

I learned to eat pupusas in Dallas, Tx. This restaurant was recommended as the best for pupusas in OKC.First impression walking through the door, was not inviting. Most tables still had plates and foot that had not been picked up. The wall paint and floor looked old and in need of a good cleaning. The pupusas were disappointing! Even though they were huge ($2.45), the filling was nonexistent. It is not an establishment that I would recommend or revisit.

We called in an order. They said 25 minutes but did not even start making it until we after we arrives to pick up and pay. Second, we were charged much more than prices on its menu (same happened to my wife, a few months ago). Food is fine.
