I recently purchased a vehicle from Edmond Hyundai, and unfortunately, the experience fell short of my expectations compared to previous car-buying experiences. While there were a few positive aspects, the overall process left much to be desired. On the plus side, the entire process took about 4.5 hours, which is relatively shorter than what I've experienced in the past. However, this is where the positives end. The salesperson who assisted me was very new to car sales and couldn't answer many of the questions I had about the vehicles I was considering. This lack of knowledge was frustrating and made the experience less smooth. The negotiation process for the total price of the car was particularly aggravating. Instead of dealing with one person, I had two individuals presenting various offers, including shocking 12-month payment figures, high-interest rates, and lowball trade-in values. Unfortunately, these are tactics commonly expected at car dealerships, but it doesn't make the experience any less frustrating. After finally negotiating a fair price for my trade-in, I moved on to the finance office. The finance representatives were polite but pressured me to buy their third-party warranty, claiming it was necessary to secure the "lowest" interest rate. They also suggested that the manufacturer's warranty wouldn't be sufficient, which is odd considering Hyundai is known for having one of the best warranties in the industry. Even after all this, the interest rate they initially offered was significantly higher than what I was pre-approved for at my bank, forcing them to lower it to compete.Weeks later, when my insurance policy was up for renewal, I discovered that the certified pre-owned vehicle I purchased had sustained damage prior to my purchase--a fact that wasn't clearly disclosed at the time. I had to request a Carfax report from the dealership, which confirmed the damage. The dealership was unable to explain the situation, though it seems likely (after reviewing the report) the vehicle was used as a service loaner. As a result, I am now stuck with higher insurance premiums due to this undisclosed damage.Overall, this experience has been deeply disappointing. I approached the purchase with good credit, good intentions, and the expectation that the dealership staff would act professionally and ethically. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I would advise others to thoroughly research the car-buying process, come prepared with a pre-approved loan from your financial institution, and be ready to stand your ground if you decide to do business with this dealership.**Pros:**- The process took less time than previous purchases (about 4.5 hours).- The finance representatives were polite.**Cons:**- Salesperson was new, lacked vehicle knowledge and couldn't answer key questions.- Frustrating and pressure-filled negotiation process.- Pressure to purchase a third-party warranty for a lower interest rate.- Higher interest rate initially offered compared to my bank's pre-approval.- Vehicle damage was not clearly disclosed, resulting in higher insurance premiums.

I live in Colorado. I purchased a vehicle from Genesis of Edmund because it had the colors and options I wanted, and they were willing to ship it to me for free. The vehicle arrived with a paint flaw. It's a minor flaw, and hard to see, but in the right light, it'll drive you nuts. I was told by the dealership that it would be covered under warranty. After several month of going back and forth with Genesis directly, the warranty claim was denied as external damage.I went back to the dealership to try and get the issue resolved. They are offering no support, and now ghosting me.Attached are all images I have sent to the dealer. They are refusing to help claiming that the flaw is "Nothing we caused". I have a presale video sent to me by the salesman before I purchased it. This video was taken before the car was shipped to me. You can see the flaw in the video.https://youtu.be/BFWzBC1OFeIAttached are various images taken throughout the process to show the flaw in the rear tailgate. They are refusing to help me. This may be the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life.

I am not normally one to write complaints, but I have decided that I am done with this dealership after my latest interaction with them. I bought my car at Edmond Hyundai April 2017. I went out of my way to buy it there because they had the engine for life. I was 20 at the time. My brother and his wife were having to drive me to car shop after I moved in and saved up to buy my first car. After settling on the Hyundai that I wanted, I sat down with the sales person that was assisting me. To my surprise there was a 2500 bank fee added onto the price of the car, trying to get me to sign. I said I didn't want to pay that fee, and he said that is something everyone pays. After negotiating for probably an hour or two (already checked my credit...), he said the bank is not budging on that. I said I wasn't paying one cent towards something that I have never seen anyone try and add onto the many cars my dad has bought over the years. I doubt that was even a bank fee. I bank with Tinker FCU and asked if they could use them. Can't remember, but for some reason the sales guy said they couldn't use them or they wouldn't give the loan or something. I said, if I call and get a check the next day after we negotiate the price without the bank fee would that work? They said yes. Next day I called to negotiate that price over the phone. After settling on a price, he said the only way they can write it up is if they go through Tinker because the bank gives kickback... I almost hung up but I bit my tongue because I didn't have the time to try and find another. Since 2017, I have never missed an oil change with the additive. About a year ago it started using a good amount of oil and now has a significant amount of blow bye. Inquiring about the Engines for life warranty I took my car there. I sat in the bay for 45 minutes trying to get them to take 3 seconds to just look at the blow bye. They were trying to sell me on a 200 diagnostic fee, that probably they would say the engine is not bad enough so I didn't want to pay for that. The other thing was an oil consumption test. After that I would likely have to pay over 600 for a deep cleaning then do the test over again. I didn't want to but I agreed to the oil consumption test that really wasn't the biggest issue. The engine blow bye is. However, after paying for another oil change to do this test, I meant to verify the oil level before I left. Once I got home, I saw that they had waaaaay over filled my engine with oil. Probably by a half quart or more. There is only two reasons that would happen. The techs are incompetent, or they maliciously over filled it to tilt the results in their favor. To make it look as if it used less oil after driving 1000 miles and putting the oil up to the full line. I reached back out asking if this can be corrected but I couldn't just come back in because I have to take off work again. That was their mistake to correct. My service tech who by the way was FANTASTIC, said they could probable drop off a loaner at my work and take my car to do the oil change again. Then swap when finished. After sending over all info required, he called back saying management said no, and that I had to go out of my way to drop it off to correct their mistake. I wrote a terrible review of the dealership in the followup and got a response from my service tech the next day saying after the review, they would allow a shuttle back to work but only after I drove my car up there. Still unwilling to go out of their way to correct their mistake. I have decided that I am done with that place. At this point, with the manipulation of the oil consumption test by them, and then making me feel as if I am not valued a customer who has been doing consistent business with them since 2017; I have decided that it doesn't matter what hoops I have to jump through or what test they make me do, I will not trust them or what they say the results are. Even after my latest experience with Edmond Hyundai, I will say that my service tech has impressed me with his dedication to excellent customer service. The management on the other hand have really shown their colors. It has now been 5 days since I have been dealing with this and not one of the cowardly managers have reached out personally.

I would had rated a 4 except for the fact that the manager said they would get me an extra key because they had plenty around the dealership. After 2 weeks going back and forth now, i must pay $600 for an extra key, when i inquired about it initially and was told in that salesman way, Don't worry about it. We will get it. Make sure you get everything in writing, even if they seem "nice." Remember at the end of the day, they are just salesmen.

The purchase experience was great from the time I drove onto the lot to the very end when I drove off the lot in my new car. Easton, my salesman, was awesome! So awesome, I sent my parents to him the following week. If someone is looking for a new car and wants a great experience, ask for Easton at Edmond Hyundai.
