I was introduced to Downtown Nutrition almost immediately after my doctor advised that I was needing to quickly make dietary changes. Dealing with high blood pressure and constant inflammation in my gut and joints, I wasn't operating at 100%.I've slowly, but surely, started making the necessary changes in my diet. Delicious! Stayed across the street for a week and stopped by one day on a whim and was blown away by the beautiful man-bun of the worker at the counter named Steve (we're friends now not a big deal). Next thing you know, I'm wandering the streets of downtown okc double fisting a shake and tea feeling like I'm cooler than Miles Davis (I'm not). Obviously had to go back a few more times before I left (3, don't judge me).There's a bunch of different shakes and teas to choose from and you can't go wrong with any of them. I like to add a Lift-Off in my tea but it does cost a tad extra.Perfect place to go after a workout or if you need a quick pick me up

I cannot say enough good things about the man that helped me today. In a rushed situation he gave the best customer service I have had in a long time and was honestly working for me as customer. Do you remember dreamcicles? Orange flavored frozen bars with a cream center? Well, that's what I just had for lunch basically!Just stopped in here for the first time to try a shake after reading a sign in the window that said to stop in for a shake. The masked man behind the counter confirmed that these were not the unhealthy sugar laden smoothie variety things one can buy elsewhere, but were indeed high protein, high nutrition, low cal, low sugar MEAL REPLACEMENT offerings that can wisely be chosen when fueling up. After all, that is what food is for us at the most basic level, and better fuel makes for better, well, you know, stuff. Seriously, this was great tasting and healthful and the menu had probably close to 50 different flavors plus they offer energy teas which I'd like to try too. It seemed like it was the proprietor of the business helping me and he struck me as someone long involved in the nutritional side of things and has now brought that experience to us. If you want to be good to yourself this year and if you want to buy local, you can accomplish both right here!
