We saw a post about this on FB 3 years ago and, since then, visiting here has become our new tradition. The spectacular lights and sound show is approx. 30 mins. We'd go armed with a flask of hot tea to stay for 2 rounds as our drive is about an hour. Thank you Downs family for your generosity and kindness in opening your front yard to the public as the free show gives so much joy to everyone. They do accept donations for the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma in the form of canned foods and cash so we always make sure to shop before we head there. I've also read somewhere that the family has been doing the display since 2007 without professional help. They've also been featured on ABC's reality TV show "The Great Christmas Light Fight".Truly one of Oklahoma's seasonal best! A MUST SEE!!!

Wow! Spectacular! What an amazing treat! We were there for about an hour. We arrived right as intermission was starting. The intermission this year was too cute! There is something about sitting in the comfort of your car when it is cold outside to enjoy a light show. There were people around us who had pizza and hot chocolate. It is such a simple thing to do with family and friends. We enjoyed it. If you go there is a donation box on your way out and they are collecting canned goods for a food drive. Thank you to Downs Family ministry for a great Christmas light show! We will come back next year.

Native Oklahomans and this is our first visit to Downs Family Christmas. It is truly awesome! I definitely recommend bringing holiday treats and drinks for the kids. Heck, let them come in their PJs! Tune your car stereo to the correct station (this year it's 99.9). Park in the field I'm front of their house and enjoy the show. Don't forget to turn your car lights off!! We've been sitting here for 30 minutes with no repeat of songs. I can see this being a meaningful family tradition. Bring cash or canned food to support their mission for the Regional Food Bank.

This is a must see each Christmas season for my family. The light show is one of the best activities a family can do, and the fact that it's free is an added bonus. The show is a bit of a drive for most people but lasts 30 minutes, so it is worth the drive. Each year as Christmas nears, my kids start talking about coming to see this show. You sit in the comfort of your car, and enjoy he show. The lights are set to music (99.9 FM), and is impressively put together.

This is a must for the family. I believe they play a total of 11 songs and although they play the best songs that you want to hear they also play different songs than all the other little light shows around the city. There is a field to park in so you don't feel like you are in anyone's way or rushed through. Bring your canned goods to donate to the Regional Food Bank.

I went last night and ended up staying through 2 1/2 cycles of the program I enjoyed it so much. This is a must for families. My favorite is the "dancing trees". I followed the Downs family on Facebook when they were setting all of the decorations and lights up and this is no small project. Amazing programming to get the lights to sync up to the music with the two 80 foot lighted wire trees at each end, a decorated house and barn, 9 regular trees wrapped in lights, a dozen smaller wire light trees, lighted arches, lighted rings on the lawn and roofs and a lighted message board. The intermission contained short tributes to OU, OSU and the OKC Thunder. And they take no money for themselves to offset costs, only donations for the Regional Food Bank. What a great family!!!!
