Don's Plants

We've bought inferior bedding plants at Lowe's before purely out of convenience, but nothing beats the high quality and selection of a nursery like Don's Plants! Their flowers are just happier :) Having expert and caring help from people like Nancy Bryce is a big bonus too. It feels good to shop among friends!

We LOVE Don's Plants! They always have the most beautiful, in-season plants around! They will get unusual flowers too that you can't find anywhere else local. They also put together the best assorted pots that are perfect for slipping into our cement pots at home. We always get the nicest compliments from our neighbors on our gardens and we have Don's to thank for that. Best little place to buy outside garden things from and the nicest people! Like doing business with family!

I try to support the local businesses when I can but today's visit was the straw that broke the camels back. Have been going here for years and today I felt betrayed. First I have been there when Don has been there and this was not what he would expect in friendliness or service. Most there were abrupt and seemed uncaring today. We purchased 36 plants and while they were looking up the price I told them I thought the sign said like $4.98 each they went on rang them up and my wife paid we loaded up and as we were leaving Shawnee i ask how much the ticket was and she told me $250 something. I told her that did not sound right. So she calls the store and the say they were $6.98 each. So here is my point, when I said about $4.98 why did they not say well no they are $6.98 and let me make the choice if I wanted to continue at that amount. I feel cheated as a long time customer that we were done that way. But, I will say it will never happen again as this is not the only place in the area that has great plants and in a lot of cases cheaper. My wife wanted to take half of them back as that used a chuck of her flower budget and I told her we will just go elsewhere from now on. I know my not shopping there will not impact them much but it will help my account a lot and I won't feel like I was just ripped off.Jim & Dianne

Don's is amazing! We had the pleasure of meeting the owner and she was so kind! It was our first time there but we will definitely be back!
