This is a brand new Latin Café that serves Mexican/Venezuelan food. At first I was excited because I like trying new food and Venezuelan food is different from the typical Mexican dish. I ordered three arepas. They are corn filled kind of like tortillas but with a different type of corn flour than the usual, they are filled with Venezuelan cheese and then some type of meat. I ordered two cheese only and one chicken and cheese. They are delicious you can order them fried or simply cooked on the griddle. They gave me three different chili sauces, which were very different for your typical Mexican salsa. The salsas were flavorful, semi spicy and tangy. I do have to say I find them a little pricey at five dollars each for cheese only and then meat option six dollars. But it is Edmond and maybe that's why. The owners are nice . I would say come in and check them out. I will be back again.

Bless their hearts. They tried I'm trying to be nice but the food was terrible. Chips are so so. Salsa is hard to describe but it's not salsa and the cheese sauce gritty. I ordered the carne Asada my guest had the quesadilla Carne Asada has nice seasoning but had that fake meat texture like the dollar store steaks. The rice and beans were excellent. Since beans are in a soup form would be nicer if served with a spoon. Just a hint I tried the quesadilla and it had good flavor unfortunately the orange grease that oozes out should be guarded against in case you wear anything but black or orange to eat in I really wanted to love it but the food and experience was so bad not even giving it a second chance. Sorry

We were surprised when we came by and found a new restaurant had replaced the one we frequented in the past. The new owners have done a great job of giving the place a face lift.Speaking of the owners, they were very hospitable. We had great customer service as the owner came out to speak with us and gave us a primer on some of the food. He also brought out several samples of different dishes he makes. The customer service is definitely 5-star.As far as pricing, I thought it was extremely reasonable. Two of us had a good dinner for approximately $20.As far as the food went, was a little disappointed. I was expecting something a little spicier. I even asked for a spicier salsa but even that had no real 'bite'. The food itself seemed somewhat bland. If you're looking for something that's no typical Mexican or Tex-Mex, this would be a place to try for a reasonably-priced lunch or dinner. Don't go expecting to see chimichangas or tamales on the menu, but you will find more South American-type fare.
