Dale's BBQ House

My husband and I were in the mood for bbq and his coworkers mentioned Dales being worth a try. The restaurant had a very fun environment. There was lots of signs, art, and memorabilia on the walls. I love looking at this kind of stuff! Nostalgia is awesome! They were helpful and it's easy to order. There's a counter with signs and food on display to entice you. My husband and I both got the 2 meat meal. It came with 2 sides and a piece of bread. I opted for the turkey breast and sliced brisket. I wanted corn nuggets but they were out. Maybe next time? The okra was a decent second choice. It was crunchy and fresh. The mac and cheese was very creamy but could have been a little more flavorful. The meats were both very good. The turkey was perfect! It was very moist with nice smoky flavor. The brisket was nice. I've had better but also had worse. They offered both hot and regular bbq sauce. They were excellent! I tried my husband ribs. They were tender and fall off the bone.They had peach cobbler and pecan pi for dessert. I was interested in the pie but it wasn't made in house so I decided not to try it.We will most definitely be repeat customers of Dale's! Give them a try hopefully you'll have as good an experience as we did!

These are supposed to be ribs? I was ready to get the ribs, they are hands down one of the best ribs in OKC.FOOD DREAM SHATTERED When i got home, opened the box with excitement...and saw those ribs my rumbling stomach was even louder because the smell was... AAHHHHmazing. Smelling delicious aroma of ribs and not being able to eat it made me and my belly very sad. Lesson...Should have checked them before I left......But I have never had to. You have been a staple in the community for decades because you have had held your food quality to a very high standard.

No nonsense BBQDales is an unassuming spot in a strip mall. It is large enough to accommodate a few families but small enough that you don't have to ask anyone where anything is. Also tax is included so you don't have to do mental gymnastics to figure anything out. Serious kudos for including the tax.The food is good. Brisket tender and flavorful. Prices reasonable. Options clear and smell intoxicating. One of those places when you walk in the door and see the counter by the back wall with all the food and the menu right there. Bonus points for the large restroom sign to the left of the counter. Dales has the standard array that most BBQ joints in Oklahoma have. They've got the family packs, the meats, the sandwiches, beef, pork, poultry, sides and sweets. Nothing complicated or unclear about the menu.We got 2x 1lb chopped brisket with 5 buns for $15 a lb. We added a couple of sides. Okra and mac & cheese.Within minutes our order was ready. Dales is the kind of places that has everything prepped and ready to go. No fuss. Order, pay and get your food. I like that. When we arrived at our destination we were initially shocked to see 3 cups and 2 bags of buns. We opened the cups containing brisket and Mac and cheese. An uncommon packing method but it was very effective for transportation on the interstate and down some bumpy country roads. Basically it kept the food warm and nothing spilled. I'm impressed at the ingenuity. The chopped brisket - almost a shredded brisket. Tender, tasty and smells great. 100% I will be back to get this again. I will try other meats from Dales. Let me be clear at a BBQ joint 1 thing matters and that is the meat. Everything else could be from the frozen section at Costco and I'd still come back just to order the meat. That being said the sides are pretty good.The okra - crispy with the faintest hint of a spicy pepper in the batter. Almost as if a pepper walked by while the batter was being made, said hello and realized it was not needed for this crispy okra. The mac and cheese - creamy and cheesy. Pretty standard mac and cheese. Noodles were cooked well and the cheese quality on point. But flavor wise it was missing something. Maybe a sharper cheese or maybe some bread crumbs would kick it up a notch. That being said it was still pretty good.The buns - they exist and hold food together. Standard basic while bread hamburger buns. They do the job well because they don't take away from the meat at all. Some places give you fancy flavorful bread. Those places don't focus on what matters with bbq and that is the meat.I assume some person named Dale founded this place. Dale did well. The restaurant serves it purpose and creates a positive hassle free consumer experience. More places need to be ran with this type of consumer optimization. By focusing on making it easy to order food and focusing on making good food Dales has earned a repeat customer and a my most wordy of recommendations.

Fast service, great simple BBQ with awesome sides. Casual inside dining. Lunch specials for Teachers and Students

Bad bad bad. Worst BBQ I've had anywhere in my life. Tons of sides to choose from however they aren't very good either. If you know what good BBQ is you know this ain't it.

Close by so come here when I don't want to drive far. Food quality is decent for a barbecue sandwich and sausage. I don't think the sides, especially potato salad, are home aid. Tastes like it came out of a grocery store carton. The owner seems a bit stingy when it comes to pricing versus portions. I watch the help really watch the scales and spoon sizes so sure the owner is micro managing the process. The sauce is decent and like the smoked baked potatoes. The tea is awful which is too bad for a barbecue place. It's watered down and not sweet at all. Prices are fare but not a great deal by no means.

Meat and sides were all fantastic and fresh, great atmosphere for an OU football fan as well! Service was excellent, highly recommend!

Used to go to Dales while I went to westmoore 2004-2006 3-4 times a week. Used to be great. So sad to see the meet is dry. Baby portions. I ordered a 2 meat dinner that came with a small dry rib and a couple pieces of really dry brisket. For almost 20.00 it's very difficult to shop local anymore. Used to be proud of this place. Now I wouldn't even share the stories to my kids about my favorite to go place for lunch :(

Dales is consistent and convenient for the area they are in. They have many options for sides, and it is an old school bbq type atmosphere. We go in there a few times a year, and the food is very consistent.

I've been coming to this place for over 20 years,and I won't be back after today,I ordered a "large" sliced brisket sandwich and it had 3 small slices of meat,there was more bread than meat,I asked the lady if she gave me a small by mistake,and she said no,"it's because the slices are so thick ",but they weren't that thick,I wish I could've given 0 stars
