(Originally posted this myself on Google Reviews, but felt the need to leave it where ever I can)To anyone searching for a home:Do not move into this complex. I lived here from 1/2020 to 12/2022. Both old and new employees/GM are immature, are deceptive, and cannot follow through with what they tell you.GM and staff is disrespectful and couldn't even send me my move out form resulting in me having to deal with the regional manager of the property management company because it charged me an extra fee (luckily the regional manager is rational and removed all the charges caused by the GM). If you question the GM she will make it a goal to make your situation more complicated and difficult.GM and staff chose to never respond to my voicemails left and, in my opinion, intentionally chose to sabotage my move out and make it difficult for me.I expect a half-baked, careless response from the team when they see this review and will likely try to take the "oh old management caused issues, we're NEW" well then why did the NEW General Manager create MORE problems for me and sabotage my move out? Thanks, really professional.

I lived here for two years. DO NOT RENT AT The Commons! The ownership changed at least three times and the on-site management got progressively worse. Forget getting prompt repairs and watch out for bug infestations such as bedbugs and roaches!

They need to take the "Luxury" out of their names or be sued for false advertising. I initially left this review on Google, but they curate (edit or just flat out delete) and buy reviews over there. *BUYER BEWARE!!!. DO NOT MOVE HERE. THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION, AND PERHAPS EVEN THE NAACP NEED TO BE MADE AWARE OF THE NEGLIGENT AND PREDATORY PRACTICES OF THE OVERLOOK APARTMENTS AND STAFF*BUYER BEWARE BASED ON UNLIVABLE CONDITIONS AND CURATED REVIEWS:-Roaches (Deplorable Conditions -I've been stationed in 3rd world living quarters that had fewer cockroaches than this apartment.- Physical Threats (Battery) by alleged staff members and/or guests -On November 9th, 2024, the "Property Manager" , a visitor of Unit U384 banged on my door to threatened my person with their daughter in tow. - Visitor of Building U, Unit 384. This has been reported to the "on-site security"and will likely led to the filing of a police report and pressing charges.-Intrusive Sounds, Smells, Lights, etc. (Sensory Overload) -I've had a broken seal somewhere in my apartment since my move in date of July 2024 which causes or has caused:-temperatures to skyrocket n the summer (flyers and newsletters on how your AC "can't keep up with the Sun") and plummet in the winter.-track, sirens, shooting, yelling, and pounding sounds associated with the close proximity to Highway 9 and a elderly persons living facility, law enforcement/first responder lack of concern for residency noise ordnance complaints since you will ALWAYS hear and see them.-home scent is nonexistent. The apartment has never smelled like my own. Whether it's the smell of cigarette smoke, exhaust, dust, etc. wafting in from outside, or the adjacent neighbors sudden rush to the bathroom, they are all added to the mix.Official maintenance requests have been erroneously resolved thrice now in regards to the broken seal issue ( 11/11/2024, 11/19/2024, and 1/8/2024).-Litter Everywhere -The Overlook staff will place notices on your door about rent changes, and Pest Control (usually an unreasonable 24 hour notice via paper on door) with flyers and newsletters about decorating the unit doors for Christmas or whatever religious group they've allowed onto the premise for solicitation. That same thought process is not used in regards to Pool Closings, maintenance requests, "valet trash service" (more on that later) rescheduling, litter and dog droppings left in walkway areas.-Gross Negligent Damage to Tenant Property -This is important to note because much like Overlook Apartment's Security they are only on the grounds to maintain/protect the PROPERTY.*YOUR VEHICLES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THAT INCLUSION CLAUSE. THEREFORE IT DOES NOT DAWN ON THE LANDSCAPERS TO NOT USE LAWNMOWERS, LEAF-BLOWERS, ETC. NEXT TO YOUR PERSONALLY OWNED VEHICLE (S).*"Valet trash service" is their paid residences' flinging trash off the balconies to land on adjacent roofs and tenant POVS.Their ground's work ethic is reflected in their curated responses; they'll deny you are a resident, feign ignorance, and remove your complaints from the system without addressing your concerns as a paying tenant.

Absolutely the worst/ un maintained place you could find to live in, management does not care about their tenants at all. I am filing a law suit against them in 2 days (assuming they won't own up to their staff leaving my unit open and having close to 1,000 dollars of items stolen). I'll take a month of free rent though so it will be worth it in the end, they should honestly pay people to live here like they do in Alaska.

Defiantly NOTHING luxury to do with these apartments, unless you get the NEWEST building they just built not too long ago but if you don't get that then you could find better Luxury in a Walmart BATHROOM okay just PLEASE KEEP READING!!!!! So I lived here for about two years, and it was horrible. It was roach infested no matter HOW clean I kept the place, the staff was horrid it literally took an act of GOD to get them to fix your needs in the apartment or even answer the front desk phone, the pool doesn't even open until summer is already almost over and done with which made no scene to me, AND they wouldn't do a DAMN thing when I had LITERAL BIRDS that somehow managed to get into my apartment air vents from the outside ventilation system and ironically enough it was in my 2 year old sons room so YES it was a BIG issue. Not just because of all the noise the dang thing made, but ALSO because of the serious health issues it could have brought along with it. But they didn't even care, barely even made an effort to understand the seriousness of the situation and the harm that it could have brought to my two infant children. Save yourself now and FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE... Also sadly, the other big kids are NOT too good over there either... As i mentioned I had TWO infant children with me and I was alone a lot because my husband works, I had A LOT of occurrences with the kids banging on my door VERY loudly, enough to scare my two year old and then running off... I caught them once confronted them and told them about my babies and how it scared them and they have naps and stuff and to please stop, but unfortunately they didn't. They actually did it MORE after. I told the office, and called the police because at that point I was being harassed by some bratty teenagers and obviously I couldn't do anything about it myself because I AM an adult and I can't beat them up like I would want too, LOL. Then the office and the police pretty much told me the same thing, they couldn't do anything about it unless I actually knew where their apartment number was or WHO specifically was doing it and they were in a group so I didn't know for sure, all I knew is what they looked like. This place isn't good... You will be disappointed, unless you get the NEWEST building but even then, I still doubt it. THANK YOU, if you made it to the end.

If I could give this place a zero I would. The staff here don't care about you at all. My ac has broken again, two years in a row and it takes them months to fix it. It's always during summer and it is unlivable circumstances. To even get a window unit installed you have to bug them and remind them a million times. The first apartment they gave me had no working appliances ( dryer, dishwasher ).

Overall condition of apartments are horrible, they tell you different things about bills and rent. They're maintenance workers half do their jobs so you constantly need them to come out to fix simple things

Management will enter your apartment without proper 24 hour written notice. Be prepared to come home one day to a roommate with kids, without any form of written or verbal notification, introduction, roommate matching. They refuse to tell you their reasoning and deem it appropriate because they claim it was an "emergency." But when you have basic communication skills and half a brain, you are able to dispute that claim with evidence based facts. Be advised the office workers will falsely advertise units, and make "promises" they cannot keep. When these concerns are brought to management/corporate they will tell you that their workers are not held responsible for what they say and it is not a valid reason to break your lease. Although their lies are the only reason you signed one to begin with!! Those lovely amenities such as the pool, the gym, and the study lounge, are all unavailable, yet they still advertise them! Oh also, work orders will be marked as complete without actually completing the work order. Any work orders that could be incriminating on the offices behaving involving broken HVAC or appliances causing an increase in your bill, or you know the fifth cockroach infestation in the 3 months you've been there, will be deleted from existence. Lastly, expect to live under an actual crack den with random drug addicts and people who call themselves "homeless" hanging out by your door. I've been offered drugs more times I can count, but don't worry guys, the office told me I live below the "courtesy officer!" Also, I've had too many packages to count stolen off my porch because the office doesn't accept packages in the office for whatever reason anymore. My advice would be do NOT move here. If you already are here, keep records of all interactions! I've screenshot all my work orders and half of them have been unresolved and removed. Good luck, you're going to need that or a lawyer.
