What a fantastic find! We were passing through town & looking for a place to eat. Comma Cafe was not only delicious, but charming! Their space is really cute in a refined modern design way. After a delightful lunch, we even got some holiday stocking stuffers & road trip snacks to take with us. Super fun place to eat, drink (coffee/tea), & be merry!

Ohh I see you Comma Café. New name. New look. Delicious coffee. What more could you want in a coffee shop!? Well lucky you! There is more. Once a month they do a brunch. WOAH!? I don't live in town () but happened to be there on a brunch day. Did I say WOAH! Well first let's start with the coffee. I Love americanos and honestly a lot of coffee shops americanos just taste like burnt coffee. Oh no. Not Comma. Mmm. It was so smooth and delicious. Now the brunch. I got the smothered chicken biscuit and Glory to the Most High God it was amazing. I didn't read the description of what I was ordering, but I swear one of the ingredients was heaven. It was enough to make me want to drive back every month for their brunch. The ambiance was awesome too. I remember when the coffee shop first opened Awhile ago the furniture was lame, but now it's super cute! Great vibes. GREAT COFFEE. Shout out to Jackson for Amazing service. Can't rave enough about this coffee shop!Oh! Last thing. My friend told me I had to try the lemonade mixed with cold brew. I don't know what the name of it was, but it was amazing! I know it sounds weird, but you gotta try it out!

Love visiting Comma when I'm in from TN visiting my in-laws. Coffee is always good, I love their peanut butter protein balls and scones, and their back patio is a perfect spot for sitting outside before it gets too hot!

Lovely and friendly little coffee bar/cafe in the middle of Shawnee! Books, lovely seating, plant store... AND rock star coffee. If I lived anywhere nearby I would visit daily! As we were traveling through on I-40, we will have to settle for periodic stops while on road trips. For others on the interstate, this cafe is about 10 minutes off the highway but worth every single minute. A great vibe and worth the stop. Sit down and enjoy the vibe and patronize a local family business! Stroll down to the old Santa Fe depot if time allows. A monster storm was rolling in so we had to get out of there but we will be back!

Formerly "The Gathering Place," Comma has been renamed & remodeled and somehow made their space even more inviting! (you can see current photos on their Facebook page and the beverage menu is on their website). They just reopened about a month ago. They still serve excellent coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cider, lemonade, etc. as well as delectable pastries. They even host a brunch once a month (first Saturday monthly)! There is a great plant shop attached so you can shop while you wait on your beverage to be created. There are numerous tables, window seats, couches, etc. throughout so you can comfortably enjoy your coffee/beverage while working, reading, having a meeting, playing a game or just a visiting with a friend. Comma is located right on Main St and there is plenty of nearby street parking. This is what the owners had to say about their new, improved venture: Comma is a cafe that is owned and run by two families, the Hiltons and the Ingrams. Before even the thought of having a coffee shop together was real, we were close friends who had in common a real sense of place here in this town and a desire to see it grow and to have not just what it needed, but real destinations of beauty and quality. We each had a love for good design, quality coffee, nourishing and flavorful food, and an entrepreneurial spirit. We see Comma as our way of using our talents to provide Shawnee with everything we felt our home deserved, something to be enjoyed. Our vision is for this to be a space to feel warm and welcome to anyone who comes inside and for each person to be able to feel nourished, not only from food but the experience as a whole. We are young families who are determined to teach our children the value of community and life rhythms of rest, work, and play. We want them to see what can come from working this hard, not for its own sake, but for the sake of those we're working for. Comma is the representation of all of this - it's a break in the day to connect with friends or to enjoy solitude amongst strangers. It's an opportunity to delight in food and drink. It's a peaceful space to hunker down and work. It's a destination for those who need a pause. We're grateful to be a part of your coffee rhythm today, whether you're here for rest, work, or play and we hope that you can pause for a moment. It's the pauses that provide us the opportunity to rest and reflect, celebrate what's come before, and to prepare for what's next.Every day needs a Comma.
