If your looking for a place to donate clothes and won't make a profit off of them like the Salvation Army and Goodwill, this is where you want to be!I have visited this establishment twice! The first time was Christmas Day 2017, where I helped serve food and conversed with the less fortunate.. All the volunteers and staff members where very helpful! That left a lasting impression with me, where as it seems like I'm a regular now volunteering my time and donating clothes and what not to the less fortunate..I also like the fact that you can go online to there website to sign up to assistance and volunteer your time..

It was an honor to serve as a volunteer at City Rescue Mission. A great organization! If the Lord's son or daughter, or YOUR SON OR DAUGHTER were homeless they would be greeted with open arms, a warm bed, food, guidance, physical safety, love and respect when many have reached the point where they no self respect or self love. It's a hand up. Maybe.....Gods son or daughter will be there tonight, Julian Codding

We give to the City Rescue Mission more now than ever because they have so many more families to feed and shelter due to the pandemic. I like that they care about people and share the love of Jesus how it's needed most.

I'll always have fond memories of this place. They helped me when I needed them and most of the staff was decent towards me. I stayed 4 months. There were some female residents who were rude and spiteful but I found some ways to avoid them. Most of the people just needed a place to stay and survive. The social services case workers linked me with medical and mental health services. They also got a housing voucher for me which I understand is not so easy to get. But I utilized their career center to find another job in my career profession. I am still in touch with a woman I met at the Mission. I now live in NJ, my home state.

I tried calling and someone from the shelter answered the phone. she didn't have any information she could give me. she didn't know the address or how to get into the shelter. she kept saying ugh...ugh...umm...ummm and I am sorry, I just don't know ma'am. What kind of place don't care about people in need and just lets anyone answer the phone! so I guess I tell the person I am trying to help um... I am sorry I just cant help you! what a horrible way to run a charitable organization.

The CRM was an amazing place up until I was kicked out. CRM praises themselves on hospitality for those in need and safe shelter, however allowing drunken residents to assault other residents and in turn banning a resident defending themselves against a drunken, taller and possibly stronger individual. Kicking them out into the cold when not two days later a similar fight occurs on the women's entrance and the self defender not only is allowed to stay, they are praised by CRM. This is unfair, unjust, and deserves to be frowned upon. The fact lawyers aren't being called on this is a blessing to this organization. Staff needs to do their job and protect those who seek shelter instead of leaving the residents to defend themselves and be removed for doing so.

My sister was helped by this facility as she struggled with addiction. The staff was kind and the facility was well managed. We visited often and her children even stayed the night with her in her private room. I continue to donate to this facility because I believe they are doing good works in our community.
