I was very unhappy with my experience at CircleSaw Shop. I dropped off a STILH chainsaw for service in September 2022 and saw that the shop tried to call me on November 19, 2022. When I went by on November 22, 2022, to pick up the saw, it wasn't there. I discovered that they had fixed my saw in September, but I only found out recently because the voice message was among my deleted messages. They sold the saw for $250, although I had paid a $50 deposit and it was originally worth $300. The work to tune up the saw cost them $39. Consequently, I asked if I could receive back the difference between what they sold the saw for and their expenses. The shop told me that since I didn't pick up my equipment in a timely fashion, they could do whatever they wanted with it. Leave your equipment for repairs at this establishment at your own risk. They won't notify you when it is fixed and ready to be picked up, so expect to call frequently to check on the status of your repair.

They seem like nice enough folks, but you can probably plan on adding an extra couple of days to any estimates for work they're doing.I dropped off a couple of lawn mower blades to be sharpened. They told me they would be done before noon the next day, which was a Friday. I didn't have a chance to pick them up until Monday, and when I went in they told me the blades weren't done yet. And that they would hopefully get to them tomorrow. This is all well and good if they had used my phone number to tell me that they weren't done yet, but I was never called. Overall this is not a big deal, but I have a suspicion that this is the way the rest of the business runs.

I own a commercial Honda HRX217 walk behind. I bought it used online and after using it for part of the season I figured I better take it in and at least have it's first tune-up done by a shop. I've been a customer of O'Connor's for a few years, but they are a bit of a drive for me and Circle Saw is closer and I've heard decent things about them.Took the mower in for a tune-up. Their base price for a tune-up was essentially the same as O'Connor's (aprox. $55) plus parts. They did the usual; air filter replacement, oil replacement, new spark plug, minor bowl clean, and replaced both blades. The total came to $108.26.That's not cheap, but neither is my mower (approx. $800 new) so I wanna keep it in good working order. The one thing they do that I don't like is they now (started Sept. 2016) make you pay a $50 deposit on work being done. I get why they do it, but the competition doesn't and it just seems like an inconvenience and only something a small business would do (which they are). But, its not a deal breaker. The lady at the register was very friendly and came out to help me unload my mower. It took a week to get the service complete (very acceptable) and they called when it was ready.Went and picked it up and the man who helped me was also very friendly and gave me some useful advise on keeping the mower running well. He helped me load the mower into my truck. As for this transaction - I think it went very well and would consider using them again for walk-behind tuneups.*I inquired about my zero turn and I probably won't be taking it here for service. For one, their place is pretty small and you have to call and get on a waiting list to bring larger mowers (riding) in. That seems like a real hassle. On top of that, their quoted base fee for tuning up a zero turn was higher than I currently pay at O'Connor's.* I inquired about repair work to a commercial weed eater I have. They quoted me a $50 fee to diagnose the problem (if they don't do the repair). I only pay $25 for that same service at O'Connor's. Plus O'Connors will apply the $25 to a new piece of equipment if I decide to buy new and not fix the broken one.* I have tried to buy equipment from Circle Saw on three occasions in the past - a $400 weed eater, a $700 pole saw and a $700 backpack sprayer. All three times they didn't have the item in stock, would have to order it and I'd have to put up a deposit. I've never called O'Connor's and they not have a piece of equipment in stock and I've spent thousands of dollars there.Just some things to keep in mind as both are locally owned shops.

Leaf Blower was left July 6th and was told 7-10 days on repair. I indicated that I did not think unit was getting a spark. Before I left they indicated it was the carb. Finally received a call on the 29th to pick up the leaf blower that was not able to run. I had to pay $79 to get the item that they did not repair. I dropped by a shop on the way home to have them check if unit was getting current to the spark plug and they said no. I also verified several times by grounding out the plug to the chassis. To make a long story short....$22 Amazon coil and 30 min of my time and unit is running like new.

Terrible. Awful service. I can't believe this place is even open. Tried to charge me $70 to tell me that they cannot fix my saw. Tried to tell me they still put a new spark plug in it, we open it up right there and there lays the old one, NOT EVEN SCREWED IN. After all this they refused to give me MY CHAIN, because they sharpened it, FOR A SAW THEY COULD NOT FIX. I had to pay $6 for that. Do not go here.

They are still just as rude as they were 5 years ago when I was there waiting 20 minutes for some help. I left and purchased all my equipment from another shop in town. At Circle again today August 25, 2021. I waited about 5 minutes, then went outside to the guy powerwashing to please find someone to help. If I hadn't asked, I wonder how long would it have been before someone manned the counter. Once the guy shows up and asks me what I need. i tell him it a part for a Husqvarna gth2654. I really dont need someone telling me the my lawn mower isn't a real mower and so on. Do you have the part or not? It's been cutting grass and pulling a D.R. power grader since 2005. It's been a great mower. I really dont need the commentary. I can honestly say, I have NOT been a positive experience in in anyway. I believe in giving everyone a second chance, there will not be a third. If you want people to shop locally then treat them with some sort of respect. By the looks of some of the other reviews this is nothing new.

With the latest ice storm, my 16 inch electric chain saw needed some repair. I was advised to call Circle Saw Shop for help. When I called to saw I needed help with a repair I mentioned the brand of the saw, and was told flat out--not going to do. Go buy I real chain saw. Well I will probably have to buy a new chain saw, but it will not be at Circle Saw shop. Rudeness doesn't attack good and faithful customers

Good fair prices on parts. I needed a fuel line that was a very small diameter. They had it. Then I needed a very small fuel filter that would fit that line. They had it. And I needed a primer bulb (I have three different sizes of prime bulbs but this one is special) and they had it. They have the parts that you need and not some kit that includes a dozen parts that you will never use. For a DIY that has been working on lawnmower engines (and go-carts) since I was 12, this is how a parts place should work. It's been a long time since my previous trip, but they had what I wanted then, as well.
