Chuckwagon Bar-B-Que & Grill

So, over the last 3 years service has gone down hill as well as half the food. We have almost stopped going here due to attitude and service. Sometimes we go in for beers, but at this point.... We just eat at home. ‍

The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. The food is missing something, it is kinda bland. However, we only had the chicken fried steak and the hamburger steak. They also offer BBQ options and Mexican food, so those might be more flavorful! When you first sit down they serve you chips and salsa so that's a bonus!

I actually love the food here but we just got served with four consecutive dirty dishes so we had to leave before ordering. By "dirty," I mean I could tell it was moved off a used table and repurposed. The silverware had rolled in food and the salsa bowls still had food on them.

Recently opened, so the new is still there. Very young server staff, seemed to flood to the cashiers area to gossip. The older staff was very attentive and made sure you were taken care of. Food was great, ribs are tender and strip off the bone. Sides are fresh tasting. Prices are very reasonable for the area. Will be returning if not will order takeout.

Was not offered napkins with BBQ, ordered pulled pork and it was in big chunks ! I've never seen pulled pork in chunks. Had fries was not offered condiments. When we were shown our sits she automatically gave us Mexican menu, when we walked in we noticed that it was both a Mexican and BBQ restaurant. The hostess didn't ask what we would like. When our food was brought to the table still no napkins. Asked for them three times. Had to wait 20 minutes for a refill.

One of my favorites in Duncan because of they're chicken fried chicken. It's hand breaded and fried to perfection and along with their delicious and soft, warm rolls and cinnamon butter (another reason Chuckwagon is a fave), you get two sides and a choice of potato. For the sides, I recommend their potato salad and Mac and cheese or if you're wanting to make what you're about to eat a little "healthier", instead of the Mac and cheese get the green beans and you won't miss any flavor! And for the potato, I always get mashed potatoes and gravy and they are terrific and creamy! And whatever you do, make sure you get an extra side of gravy because it's amazing and if you're anything like me (I LOVE gravy), you're gonna want more!

The man that greets you at the Duncan Chuckwagon is such a grump! He really doesn't care if you come into spend your money or not at this place he is representing. The food is adequate but sometimes it's pretty good. To me if the atmosphere which includes the people that work there are less than desirable I just don't want to go back.

Chuckwagon is good for casual dining. They have a huge menu, and the food is well priced for the portions you get.Service is so-so, but overall I would recommend this place for a casual dinner.

If I could rate this a zero I would. Made reservations and hostess belittled us on that she got in and have this table instead. Salsa was sauce with garlic salt and fajita had so much salt I only finished a quarter of it. Usually never make reviews but this place needs help and change of staff.

Terrific food and terrific service. They offer BBQ, Mexican, and American food and it is all wonderful. The portions are huge! Great kids menu as well!! Definitely a great place to eat in Duncan, OK!!
