Cherokee Strip BBQ

ALL. YOU. CAN. EAT. BBQ. EVERYTHING. ON. THE. MENU. THIS IS NOT A DRILL! I saw a post on Facebook about some bbq sandwiches they have and it made me drool over a picture. We decided to go a few days after that. We parked and as we walked in a couple informed us they have all you can eat barbecue. I said excuse me?? ALL YOU CAN EAT BBQ? Sign me up! We ran in! The gentleman helping us was so very kind and it was our first time. We were SHOCKED. The prices are great, the all you can eat price is great. The cost of 2 sandwiches without sides is the same price as the all you can eat where you get everything. Before we were certain that's what we wanted to do we were given a few generous samples to try and omg the meat literally just melted in our mouths. He was so patient, kind, and generous with us. All of the food we tried was truly amazing - my favorite was the turkey and brisket also KC burnt ends. There's soooooo many sides to choose from. They don't have chicken but in place they have turkey. It's a decent sized restaurant and there was only 2 other customers that came in while we were there. They said they don't advertise much and more word of mouth but just don't get that many customers. I noticed there was previous negative reviews from a while back and I assure you 100% of everything we tried was phenomenal. We even got some other random things to try to tell our friends (yelp) about. My husband and I will be making this normal date spot for us! Please don't focus on older reviews and give this place a try again. The people are so kind and friendly and the whole time we were all laughing and joking together. It was truly a great customer service experience and dining experience in general. I'm telling EVERYONE about this hidden gem!

Overall good bbq. We went here with a big group on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was not full which was great for us! I loved how everyone went through the line and paid for themselves. I got the sliced brisket with two sides - baked beans and mac. The baked beans were DELICIOUS! They were not spicy or overly sweet. The mac was overall good but was a bit too peppery. The brisket was a tad dry but had some decent flavor. I also got some bologna to go for later. The staff was pleasant and very helpful.

I love BBQ. We went here after an OSU basketball game. There were 6 of us and they weren't crowded and we knew we were going to want to sit and talk for awhile. It started off kinda bad because they were out of several items and the sides were running really low and looked like they had been sitting there for awhile. I ended up getting a pulled pork sandwich and sour cream potato salad. The potato salad was amazing. The one bright spot of the meal, my pulled pork sandwich was full of fat chunks and didn't have much flavor. My husband had the brisket sandwich and said it was dried out and hard like it was the bottom of the tub and had sat there all day drying out. He also had baked beans and they were also dried and not very good. If we were there late at night I might have been more understanding but it was 5:30 pm on a Saturday night. I don't see us ever going back here.

Excellent! I had the sliced brisket sandwich. It was awesome. Toasted bun. Sliced to order. Self serve sides. Cole slaw was crisp and fresh. This place is the real deal! If you want bbq in Stillwater... this is the place.

Ribs were hard as a rock, at least a day old. When I called to complain the smug employee offered to give me my money back, but a better solution saving my much more valuable time is to avoid this place entirely.

Great bbq spot. We ordered the chopped brisket sandwich with a side of Waffle fries that were delightful, crispy and delicious & with coleslaw tasted sweet and crunchy. Had a great lunch, we ordered pickup, which they had a drive thru was easy and quick.

Ordered through Grubhub. It was ok at best. I ordered the sliced brisket with beans and potato salad. Brisket was dry and blend. But had a good smoke flavor. Now the potato salad I did not like at all. Tastes like sweet relish. (the potato salad I'm used to is made with dill relish). The baked beans was in line. Not bad but not good. In my opinion there are better places for BBQ.

It is a Shame Cherokee strip has declined so much in the last 10 years. From going to the best barbecue establishment in Stillwater it's at the bottom of the barrel. The quality of the food and the service gets a -5 stars.

This was my first visit to Cherokee Strip. I ordered online and picked up my food from the drive up window, quick and easy. I got a chopped brisket and hot link sandwich with a side of mac and cheese. The food was still warm when I got home and the sandwich was great, the mac and cheese was not. The macaroni noodles were so over cooked that they had taken on an almost jelly like consistency. Combined with with the cheese the whole mass had congealed into something resembling a wobbly jello mold. The texture was so disturbing it overshadowed the complete lack of any kind of flavor. Good bbq but skip the Mac and cheese at all costs.
