Chelino's Mexican Restaurant

This was my favorite location. I spent decades of my life growing up going to Nino's as a child. I have always been pleased with the service at this location until yesterday.I walked in then stood for 5 minutes before someone came to seat me.We had 4 people at our table, one of them mentioned that one of us was celebrating a Birthday and told the waiter who's Birthday it was. I ordered the Chileno's Special Mex and Pedro said ok and then went on to the next person at our table. I was not asked if the sauces that come with the meal were acceptable, if I wanted chicken or beef for my tamale, if I wanted crispy or soft for my chicken or beef taco. I wasnt even asked what I wanted for my sides. I waited till the next person had ordered and quickly spoke up saying double rice please.Food was delicious as always, drink refills were very sparse. No one came to the table to sing Happy Birthday as I had seen and participated in many times. After we got our receipts to pay up front, half the party went up front to pay and the other half was still at the table waiting for Pedro to come back so they could get a drink refill or one to go. The waiter never came back so they gave up and joined the rest of the party at the counter to pay for their meals.

Outstanding lunch!! Yet another birthday celebration - join the C-VIP Club and they allow you to get a free entree for your birthday! Service was great and lunch was just as good as always! The Lunch Fajita's were spot on!! My wife also said the Taco Salad was delicious & very fresh!Can't leave without having a sopapilla!!Great restaurant - if you haven't tried Chelino's give them a try there are several throughout the metro area!

We had a very-small, impromtu family reunion here. We originally thought we'd have six people, but wound up with seven, and they acccomodated us easily and quickly.The menu had a lot of options and was easy to read. Although they have a weekday lunch section, they allow you to order from it for dinner and on the weekends, too, but they add $2 per order. We each ordered something different, and the staff and kitchen managed our orders well. They kept water, tea and soda glasses full without being asked. My chicken enchilada were great, and everyone enjoyed their food. I was visiting from NC, but my cousins and aunt are all local and come here quite often.

I was absolutely craving chicken flautas and had a hard time finding some in OKC on corn tortillas until I found Chelino's! I ordered over the phone and it was super easy, and it came with chips, salsa, and queso as well. The flautas were large, and they came with rice and beans. Very standard TexMex fare, but it absolutely hits the spot if that's what you're looking for!

We arrived at Chelino's at 6:30 on Saturday night and got seated immediately, the waitress came and took our drink orders and two different young people brought us chips, cheese sauce and salsa. Chips were crisp. Two of us ordered the chimichanga platter and two ordered the enchiladas. The chimichangas were not crisp at all. Hard to cut without a knife. Inside was not hot just look warm. I got the habanero sauce on mine and it looked like it was just painted on with a brush, not much at all. The meat was tender both beef and chicken, rice and beans good. The two who got the enchiladas both got ground beef with chili on top. Again not much chili on top at all. Ground beef had good flavor. We all got sopapillas. They came out hot and fresh, but not sure about that honey sauce, in our opinion not great. They did have live music which was a nice touch. The gentleman was waking around with a guitar playing and singing, very nice. Before tip it was $58

Colleague wanted to chat about prospective employment opportunities in the future over lunch.I had been before (different location) so we embarked on the journey of ChelinosThey definitely have speed and customer service skills on another level at this place!I had the chicken soft taco and chicken enchilada lunch. They fixed my hunger! The food came out hot. The staff got our order out fast and accurate. The chips and salsa/cheese - delicious! The price was just right. I was very pleased with this visit. My daughter-in-law and grandkids and I decided to stop at Chelinos before shopping. The restaurant is observing social distancing, every other table was open and staff wore masks. My grandson ordered the three meat fajita platter, The chicken and steak was tender and tasty, the shrimp over cooked, all in all he enjoyed his lunch. My grand daughter ordered the child beef fajitas and loved it. My daughter-in-law and I both ordered shredded beef chimichangas, they were not fried, they were grilled - very disappointing, it was a burrito. Needless to say I didn't eat it. The refried beans were good and Mexican corn very good. My margarita over the rocks was delicious!

Awesome food and service for a great price. We eat here EVERY time we are in. OKC! How many more characters are needed Jesssh!!!

We were seated propley and were happy till the food was delivered. The steak and shrimp fajitas were delivered and still seeping blood. Asked the waitress to have them cooked more, to a point of being done and received them back charred!!!!!!!! ONIONS, PEPPERS, STEAK AND SHRIMP BURNT!!!!!The waitress come back and asked how the meal was, We advised the meal was not eatable due to being burnt and she started to not understanding what we were saying.The steak and shrimp fajitas sat there until we paid the bill and left.I do not recommended this restaurant for service or food quality..

Ordered Salsa Lupe and 2 meals. Do you have a shortage on chips and setnup? Cause I sure do.
