I lived in Tulsa for 18 years and had no idea this was even here.It is a big park! Lots of trails, open area, a pool, and the recreation center. The recreation center is where we were. It was a surprise birthday party for a very good friend of ours. The location was not marked well at all once you get into the park. It was only by shear luck that we took the right roads back to it and only got lost once... some better directional signing could be put up for sure! The party area was big, clean, they provide tables and chairs, there is a kitchen, and clean bathrooms. It is nestled far back in the park up on a hill with a beautiful view and lots of parking. The center was closed accept for the party but it looks to offer yoga classes, a gym, basketball, and other activities. It really was a nice set up.It was a great party in a very nice spot!

I'm giving this 5 stars, but readers please see my notation at the end for some additional comments. Ok, the park is awesome! Lots of great views of Tulsa, rock formations and cliffs, cool trails, a frisbee golf course, lots of green space and open wide space, and great playground and splash park, a community center and even further expansion plans. The natural beauty in the rock formations, which are unusual for this area, are super fun to explore! It's taken care of, as far as being well groomed, so, this park is a 5 star!!!So here is my "non-review" little rant: Can we just all commit to take care of this park more? Please?!?!? There were several rock formations with graffiti all over them, several places where people threw their trash all over the place, and several discarded bags of leaves that were thrown over several cliffs. It definitely seemed to be many people contributing to the de-beautification of this park. Why? Can we all just commit to keeping it nice and not ruining it for everyone?Rant over...

Love it here. The best place to do some outdoor rock climbing in Tulsa! What will you see here? Lots of rocks, trees, birds, insects, and a beautiful view of the Arkansas River if you climb to the top. This park is never crowded and there's multiple parking lots with empty spaces. You can find grills as well if you want to picnic with the family. Some people come here at night and drink. It's stupid. Don't come at night. You'll fall, you'll get hurt. I just assume it's high school kids that leave all the beer cans here. 10/10 recommend having a hike here!

I'm always looking for places to take my dog; and, for some reason, I just discovered Chandler Park. It's was one of those days where I couldn't go far away, but the day was just too nice to miss. So, we drove over to the park to see what it had to offer. AND then we found it! The trails with rock walls! OH, so much fun! It's a bit tricky to find the walking trails. Someone else on YELP had mentioned that you have to find the 2nd playground. A more accurate description would be that it's after the pool and the 1st playground. It's on the right. You will have to look for a small sign posted that says Rock trail. OK, so my husband is legally blind; I'm in my 60s and overweight, and my dog just want wants to go go go. But, off we went. The trail is very rocky in many places. Lose stones and sometimes quite steep. My Runtastic app said that our elevation was 862 feet, but we actually only climbed 82 ft. However the 82 feet was almost straight up or down in some places! The trail follows along some rocks that must be at least two stories high - some are hanging off like they were carved by the river at some time in the past. Awesome structures to look at! Even though it was almost 90 degrees out, it was cooler between the rocks, so the heat wasn't too bad. TAKE WATER! You will need it. We didn't go very far this time because of the heat, but I plan on going back again soon when it's cooler. We had a great time. I recommend this for anyone who likes it a bit rougher than a normal walking trail.

Loved Chandler Park forever. A little drive will bring you to a delightful park midway between Tulsa and Sand Springs off of West 21st Street. A park with with varied scenery and plenty of space for a family outing, or a company party. It's hard to find a park anywhere that you can hike, bike, climb, swim, walk, golf, play horseshoes, play baseball/softball, jungle gym , or simply kick back and enjoy some hot dogs or hamburgers all in the same day. As a kid I had lots of fun climbing up the small hill faces. The park also host several events through the year of interest to all kinds of people.Chandler was, and still is a real winner of a recreation area that I I try to enjoy each time I am back in Tulsa for a visit.

There was supposed to be Christmas lights 6-9 pm. No Christmas lights! The park itself is 192 acres with several playgrounds, ball fields, recreation center, outdoor pool, disc golf, restrooms and picnic areas. There are large rock formations where I have seen people rock climbing. There are good views of Tulsa. In the past, during low use times in the park, there has been illegal drug activity. To combat that, they close off some of the park so they can better supervise the open areas.

This park is all living things friendly. Dogs, babies, adults, etc...? It's the best. There are lovely views of the city, large open fields for festivals and sports, playgrounds, and lots of adventure for everything. There's plenty of parking and it's so easy to get to. Grab a picnic and hunker in for a beautiful day.

So disappointed in this park's cleanliness and maintenance. It would be at least 4 stars from me if They would just clear off/prevent all of the graffiti (much of it is crude) on the really neat natural rock formations. This could be a really good park if it was maintained. (There was a lot of trash too near the rocks)I would have been excited to bring Out of town guests here to see the rock formations if it weren't for all of the graffiti that simply isn't family-friendly and doesn't display and atmosphere of safety. Suggestion #1 is to close well before 11pm!
