Casa Soto

Service was friendly and attentive! Food was average for a mexican restraunt! Staff was very kind to our group. Prices are high for the quality of food. But free salsa and queso and sopapias were nice. Ambiance is better than other local joints and felt very fun!

My cousin passed away and his widow decided to have his wake at casa Soto. This was my first time there. Since we were a large private party they set us up in the back and then had a buffet style serving area for us. The waitresses were all great and the unsweetened tea was very tasty. Food wise the peach cobbler was excellent but that's where it stopped. The actual food was not so great. It wasn't the worst but it was very bland and disappointing. I love Mexican but while I'm not a fan of Taco Bell or those types of restaurants I wouldn't place this much higher. Great people, nice building but needs to work on the recipes to give them life.

My friend and I are visiting for the weekend and we stopped here for some Mexican food and drinks. We were greeted and seated promptly. We were brought out chips, quest, and salsa. Everything in the setup was delicious! The salsa has such a nice kick to it! The yellow cheese was thick and creamy. We then ordered a margarita on the rocks (normally I don't like them if there is too much sweet and sour and I didn't think it was too much). For dinner I got the chicken and steak fajitas with elote )Mexican corn but it fell a little short of what my normal expectation is of elote. I'm used to corn on the cob rolled in Mayo and delicious seasoning however it wasn't bad just not what I was expecting. I also got the black beans and they were good as expected. The flour and corn tortillas were good as well. The portions are generous. My friend got the beef chalupas with Elote and papas con chorizo (this was delicious if you like chorizo). Everything was good! We were told they had drink specials and we decided to get their draft DOS EQUIS and honestly the best draft beer I've ever had. Full of flavor, not flat at all, and ice cold delicious. The staff were all so friendly and helping out all the tables together and they seemed to really work well together. Not a single frown or attitude in that place. The service was fantastic!The store has beautiful pottery for sale in the entry way that are very reasonable in price! If you are coming through this way, stop and check it out!

We drove to Weatherford to visit the Stafford Air & Space Museum. (review on it will be out shortly) Okay, the best part - the playlist! Mom ordered the chicken strip dinner and she said everything tasted good. My daughter ordered the steak fajita lunch w/ an egg which was +$1. She said the steak was small squiggly pieces wrapped in corn tortillas, the kind we usually get with street tacos, not at all what she was expecting. I had the chicken fajita enchiladas and the chicken was (what appeared to be) crumbles. There wasn't any fajita seasoning. As you can see in the pics, corn tortillas. We couldn't decide why the cheese sauce was so thick. The steamed beans were the best part of my dish. The total cost for three was a bit over $32 before tip. I think the menu was 4, 5 or 6 pages. Easily could be scaled back to one page with a front and back. Separate drink menu. Maybe it's part of the theme of this restaurant, but it was like a menu I remember from the 70's or 80's. Bulky and unnecessary as items were repeated. I'd share the servers name but she didn't give it to us. Not a return trip for my family.

Place to go if you want a good fix of Mexican food. They give a generous amount of chips, salsa and queso. Ambiance feels homey and authentic. Staff are friendly and accommodating. We ordered fish tacos and tamales. Would definitely visit again for our next Mexican food cravings.

We made a quick dinner stop in route to Oklahoma on 8/10/19. This cute little restaurant is located by the freeway. They immediately greeted us at the front and found us a table. The restaurant has a lot of seating area. They provide you with chips and salsa as most typical Mexican restaurants do. I ordered the Carne Asada plate and the meat was very delicious and juicy. It was accompanied by rice, beans and sliced fried potatoes. My family all enjoyed the meal and the service provided. I would definitely recommend the food.The restrooms are maintained clean. Plenty of parking and as you enter the restaurant they have authentic Mexican pottery which I assume is for sale if interested to buy.

Spot On! Rachel, gave us great service, attentive and efficient. Food was very good, fresh and hot. First time stopping here on our way through and will definitely stop again when we are coming through the area and hungry. Place is very clean and bright.

First off if I could give a place 10 stars, I would give Casa Soto 10. The complimentary salsa they serve was spectacular packed with flavor and freshness. The Raspberry Tea is the BOMB (not too sweet and not to unsweet)!!! Pollo Mexicano is to die for! With whatever peppery and smokey flavor they throw into it...IT WORKS and is soooo Good! Burrito Grande with chicken instead of beef. The chicken in this burrito is soooooo MOUTHWATERING AND NOT TO MENTION JUICY and FLAVORFUL!!! Stepping away from the food the restaurant is overall very clean and great customer service. This restaurant inspired me to write my first ever yelp review!! Even the bathroom is super clean in the middle of a very busy Friday night! These people have the secret to restaurant success!!! Go see them!!

Delicious dinner! Service was fantastic with great personalities! If we lived close this place would definitely be our regular stop.

Has been a Mexican restaurant favorite for me for over 8 years now! Always stop when we are going through town! Great service and yummy food!
