I can't believe it took me this long to see a show at Carpenter Square! I have driven past it for years wondering why I haven't been yet. I went to see their production of The Birds, and it was such a great performance. I love the size of the theatre as well. The intimacy is truly captivating. They have shows fairly frequently, so I know it won't be too long before I'll be back. They have a decently priced bar along with their other concessions. Also if you have an Allied Arts City Card, you can get tickets for buy one get one free!

Really enjoyed our evening watching 'My Brilliant Divorce'. Three amazing, multi-talented actors. Melinda at the door and on the phone was an excellent 'first impression' for CST. Drinks were excellent. Intro to play and CST was captivating. Usher was fun and full of information. So you wonder why 4 stars?AC was the main concern, was warm and a few times uncomfortable. Theater chairs were ok, not great comfort but not terrible. We will attend another play soon. This team of actors provided an enjoyable evening. And I would like to see this organization grow and improve. Thanks for a fun date evening.

Love it! Love it! Love it! I visited this quaint little venue to catch a showing of "The Birds." I absolutely love the layout and its very intimate setting. I've always preferred theatres of the size of Carpenter over bigger theatres specifically because I feel that the shows are always a little bit more dramatic and fun... all of which Carpenter Square delivers on. They have a respectable bar that offers fairly priced adult beverages. If you have the chance to catch a show at Carpenter Square, I highly recommend doing so.

It is time to buy your flex pack of tickets to see CST's Season 41 which starts SEPTEMBER 13-29, 2024 with play called MAKING SWEET TEA AND OTHER SECRETS - a dramedy by Paul Elliott. There are 8 plays in the season but you can buy smaller packages. We sometimes are gone and use our extra tickets to later bring friends to a different play. That is the beauty of flex packs. CST has a great reception area with art on display and they sell drinks including cocktails, and snacks. The theatre scene is alive and well in Oklahoma. We also like Jewel Box Theatre and the Civic Center. The play's description: Winn Dottie and Ruth Hamilton have always kept their lives in order, living each day in rural isolation and contentment. All of that changes when the sheriff drops a battered teenager on their doorstep and asks them to keep them safe. The question is--can these two older women get past their own ingrained ideas of how life should be to protect a teenager they don't even understand? Making Sweet Tea and Other Secrets refers to all the hidden bigotry, prejudice and even brutality a town will turn a blind eye to, until forced to bring those secrets to light and fight back. AACT New PlayFest Award Winner, 2018. "A well-disciplined peeling away of prejudice and intolerance." -- Lincoln Journal Star.
