Carnitas & Tacos El Tarasco

I came in near closing along with the fam on one of our beloved street taco crawls. While the woman was none too happy to see us 15 minutes before closing, the gentleman was very nice. He even gave me a free bottled water since the agua frescas were put away for the night. Chairs were already up on tables, they had checked out it seemed. But drive thru was rockin' and two groups came in after us..Anywho, we ended up eating in the car. Our order was wrong. Carnitas came instead of carne asada. Tacos were pretty good. They were $2.50 but are bigger size and full of meat and toppings. Tortillas were very soft and already falling apart upon opening. A few bites in and tortillas were done, maybe some time on the grill would help? Carnitas were a touch dry but had good flavor. Al pastor was hella messy, a saucy marinade coating everything. Pork was fatty, had no sweetness, less bold spices than I'm used to, but with both stewed and fresh onion it was a different take than I've ever had. I wouldn't go out of my way for it, but it wasn't bad. Now the salsa roja here is a different story. I usually do verde on carnitas, but the red salsa here is sooo good. I wanted to take some home! Too bad the salsa was the best part of our meal :/

This is the First time I have stopped at this restaurant. The pico de gallo is absolutely wonderful. The most delicious pico de Gallo i have ever tasted.The staff is very friendly and provide great customer service. I ordered the flautas and a taco. They were both very delicious and very nice size portions. I will definitely be back often as This place is pretty near the airport where I work out of.The price is just about right and the fresh food was a perfect lunch. I even took home leftovers and did not forget them on my table...

I wasnt impressed. Fish was good. Carne asada has freezer burn, tasted dated. It was so hot..I asked for air and fans on..I got "rolled up eyes look"... and was lucky at least fans were turned on. Garlic fish 3 stars...carne asada 2 stars.

I know my authentic Mexican food and I also know a good carne asada burrito. After living in southern California and now living in central Oklahoma, I find myself on a constant search for a legit carne asasa burrito. The lady who took my order was very friendly and spoke excellent English. I ordered a carne asada burrito and added cheese and sour cream. I also added a bottle of water. The total cost was less than $8 and the burrito was THE BOMB! I'll definitely be returning here with my California native wife.

My hubby and I love this place. He is from Mexico, so I have learned from him what real Mexican food is, and these tacos are delicious. The asada tacos are very flavorful. The carnitas tacos are delicious and the chicken also has a great flavor, as long as it's not too dry. The barbacoa hasn't impressed us, it's usually bland. But the tacos are nearly twice the size of typical ones and have much more meat. Very generous portions for pretty much the same prices. We love the chunky guacamole and salsa, and their chicken quesadillas are delicious as well, but sometimes the chicken is too salty. The rice and beans taste good and the agua de melon and horchata are both good too. Yum!

This is my go to spot for authentic Mexican food their asada and barbocoa burritos are out of this world and very affordable. I recommend this place to anyone looking for real Mexican food.

Friendly, quick, authentic and a nice clean atmosphere. Makes dropping by for lunch a happy time!

I totally do not recommend this place to eat much less to take your family. Today my daughter ordered oysters and they smelled bad, so my mother told the waitress that the oysters were not good, to which she replied with a mocking laugh that it was normal for them to smell like that and she did not offer to change them or take them off the table. When it was time to leave we let the person in front know what happened and they only responded ok. We order oysters from many other places and they have never smelled or looked like the ones we received today.No recomiendo para nada este lugar para comer y mucho menos para llevar a tu familia. Hoy mi hija pidió ostras y olían mal, entonces mi madre le dijo a la mesera que las ostras no estaban buenas, a lo que ella respondió con una risa burlona que era normal que olieran así y no se ofreció a cambiarlas ni sácalos de la mesa. Cuando llegó el momento de partir, le informamos a la persona de enfrente lo sucedido y solo respondió bien. Pedimos ostras de muchos otros lugares y nunca han olido ni parecido a las que recibimos hoy.

comida muy mala la carne estaba descompuesta y pésima atención al cliente no lo recomiendo para nada este lugar

The food was expensive as fuck... Never again.........I was left broke...Never bothered to check the price..
