Love this local business and I wouldn't trust anyone else to care for our cats when we're out of town. To get started with Carey Pet, they send a couple of people out to do a home visit and meet your fur babies. They have a ton of questions that they ask and they have truly thought of everything, even things I wouldn't think to ask. To book appointments, they will give you a login to schedule visits and you can customize them for the amount of time and what they'll do at each visit. This is also where you maintain your client profile and can update any changes to your pets' health. This has especially helpful as we had to say goodbye to one of our babies and ended up adopting a new baby later this year. Life with a kitten is ever changing, so I just logged in before a visit and made sure the profile reflected any changes. They do take the time to read through them and it's evident in the personalized notes they send after each visit. As other reviewers have stated, they have a call-in number to make sure you get home. For one trip, we got home later than expected and they were calling me and emailing me to make sure they didn't need to come for another visit. I truly appreciate that attention to detail and the fact that they love animals as much as they do. One note...they are so good that sometimes they get backed up and run out of appointments, so be sure to book their services in advance for any planned trips. We almost had to use someone else at the end of October and it freaked me out. I definitely won't let that happen again!

Cris and the entire team at Carey Pet & Home Care are the best at what they do. I have been so fortunate to have their dedicated pet sitters watch over my cat when I am away from home. I have used their services for about a year, and appreciate everything they do: For home visits, the team will initially dispatch a few folks to check out your place and get acquainted with your fur baby before the actual scheduled date. (I was introduced to the lovely Jackie and Kirby at this time!). This way, the sitters will know how to get in to your place, where food and litter is kept, and any pet idiosyncrasies. Then, you can book ahead on their website to indicate when services are requested. During your time away, sitters will not only take care of your pet, but send you lovely notes (sometimes accompanied by adorable photos of your pet) updating you on how the visit went. Sitters will always leave a call-back number for every visit so that they can know whether you've made it home safely from your time away. This allows them to make emergency visits to tend to your pet if anything prevents you from getting home as planned. As might be evident, the Carey team has unparalleled attention to detail, and each sitter is a true animal lover. For example, a small issue with my building's front desk prevented the inimitable Amber from entering my apartment at the appointed time. Rather than giving up, Amber went above and beyond, waiting until I was able to track down someone to open the door for her. This kind of commitment and dedication is what has me calling Carey Pet each time I am away from home. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my fur baby! :)

We have used Carey Pet Services to watch our cats when we travel for almost 10 years. Initially they came to our home to interview us and our pets to ensure a good match with one of their sitters. One of our cats has seizure issues and requires medication twice a day. The sitter they matched us with was perfect. Our kitties took to her immediately, especially the one requiring meds twice a day. Carey made it easy to monitor services and schedule times we preferred visits, morning and evening, with their online scheduling website. Each day we were able to read caregiver notes about that days morning visit, evening visit, and how the kitties were doing. If we found we'd be returning later than we expected and hadn't called into our kitty sitter to confirm we were home, they made an additional visit to be sure our kitties were taken care of. This was especially helpful during holiday travel when planes get delayed and flights are canceled. It was one less worry we had to face knowing our kittens would be taken care of until we returned home. I can't say enough good things about them, their service, and how happy/well cared for our pets were in our absence.

This place is perfect, if you don't want to board your pets. I've used them for when I'm working long hours and for when I've been on vacation, many times. They are always at the house when they are scheduled and always send a short visit recap, via email, when they are through. These people truly care about your pets and making sure they are well taken care of!

We have used Carey Pet & Home Care for several years as needed, and they've always provided great care for our dog. This past week we had them care for our dog while we took a quick trip and their care and attention to detail were exceptional. A wildfire very near our neighborhood broke out and the office manager, owner and sitter were all in immediate contact with me and helped to coordinate a plan for his transportation to safety. They all went above and beyond and helped give me peace of mind during my time away from home. I cannot say enough good things about this company and their staff and sitters!
