Callaway House Apartments

The callaway management is without a doubt the worst experience with customer service I have ever had.The unit above mine regularly threw their dogs feces off the balcony and caged their barking and clawing dog all hours through the day. The callaway office could not care less about this, as their manager Molly Parish laughed when I mentioned the problem. At no point were they willing to resolve the issues, and every opportunity they have to take responsibility they will try to convince you that you are the problem. 0/10 experience, avoid at all costs

My daughter has lived at Callaway for two years and is generally really happy. The big problem lately has been theft. Her bike was stolen while locked up right in front of the building and her GPS was stolen out of her locked car in the parking garage. Now this morning the seat was stolen off of her brand new bike. All of this has happened this semester and we are just at midterm. While I know Callaway is not technically liable, it would be nice for the management team to take the issue more seriously and consider installing cameras or having security in the building. Since we have continued to pay rent and parking even during the six months of COVID she wasn't able to stay there, I just wish I felt like there was more consideration for us sticking with it and renewing her lease for her senior year. Feeling a little taken for granted.

BUG problem. I have complained and tried many solutions like bug sticky traps and at home mixtures to catch these nats. the trash is left in a room to collect nats and flies and probably not taken out nearly enough. a couple days ago the nats got into my english muffins (unopened and purchased from target DAY OF). and now my drink. not to mention a nat died IN my drink. this is disgusting and i have only lived here a couple weeks. what is going on?not to mention my fridge is leaking and maintenance visited and "fixed it" but had just turned the ice machine off. it is leaking again.there was also black mold on the window sill prior to moving in, which I had to remove personally. I have run into many issues, and for the price do not feel i am receiving what i pay for.

Callaway is safe and nice. however they outsource electrical which makes living here very annoying sometimes. OGNE is the company they use. They have incompetent customer service reps and are very hard to deal with. Just note you will have an issue dealing with these useless people at OGNE

I have lived at Callaway House Apartments since 2021.You will not find an apartment complex that as safe* to live in as this, nor this close to campus. The amenities are clean and well cared for. The gym is very well equipped, and the study lounge is well stocked. Maintenance is typically very prompt in responding to complaints, and you will frequently see the custodial staff maintaining the hallways and common areas. They are very kind and helpful.*My main issues with the complex is with upper management at American Campus. The lease is written in such a way that they are not liable to protect the garage or the apartments students are renting. While this is hardly a problem in the main building and apartments themselves, this has been heavily exploited within the garage between 2023 and 2024. There have been numerous break-ins, vandalisms, and one car was even stolen out of the garage. There are no cameras, nor does there seem to be any plans to install them. That is my one big issue with this complex, however that will be an issue anywhere near a college campus. Be diligent about locking your car, park backwards facing the wall, and get a dash cam.

Just this week, the power went out on Monday, people robbed three cars in the parking garage on Tuesday, the ethernet went out, and the office is closed for zero reason on Friday. We pay a premium to live at Callaway House Apartments and are treated like we pay a discount. I would not recommend to anyone if they are looking to live here. You can also hear every step when someone is walking in the floor above you. The only upside is the location. Not worth the new price at all (my rent went up 25% in the 2 years I lived here).

This will be my 2nd year living at Callaway. Really no complaints when it comes to management or Callaway itself. Just be prepared to deal with your stereotypical college students (loud at night), but that's expected at any close campus apartment complex. I've had a really good experience living here and resigned my lease for this reason. I love how close it is on campus and the parking garage is a plus. Management and maintenance people are super nice and helpful. I've heard some complaints from my friends but those are individual issues.

My ceiling leaked when it rained. They left a bucket in my room...I had to call them multiple times to get it fixed.Only reason you pick callaway over other places.It's close to campus

I live here right now & overall, i love the space & the property. There are just minor inconveniences that don't affect my living space necessarily. Just annoying things that management can fix. The door that a lot of people go to their apartment through has been broken for over 2 weeks now, so people prop the door open. This is a huge safety issue. The door being broken also is an inconvenience because then everyone has to walk around to the front then find their apartment(mine is on the opposite side). Other things such as the elevator breaking every now & then is a hazard for people with disabilities and injuries who can not use the stairs. Other than that, I've had a few staff members be straight up rude to me. Besides those few things that don't affect my apartment directly, i love the space i have here & all the amenities.

People working here are very friendly and helpful. Service requests are taken care of quick. Great price considering you get a pool and gym. they also have a roommate matching system which worked great. not sure why reviews are so bad but they must have put effort into making it better! unfortunately garage parking is limited tho
