Cafe Contemporary is located in Oklahoma City in the lobby of the Contemporary Museum. This gem of a cafe offers a menu of full meals or small bites with full bar service. House-made bacon jam, lettuce, tomato, avocado, pickled red onion, vegan basil mayo, ciabatta rollWhat a delightful surprise, as the offerings here are like no museum cafe I have ever visited at home or abroad. Great ambiance. Small cafe. Very clean and you can hit up the art museum for free right after or before eating. Great date option. My wife and I went with another couple. We had the Mushroom Reuben, the BLT, the open faced shrimp sandwich and the Avocado Linguini. Our appetizers were the salmon potato cakes and the milk bread with whipped ricotta and peach jam (if I remember correctly). The Salmon cakes were really dense with fish and tasted a bit like crab cakes but obviously made of Salmon. It came with a corn cream sauce. Good dish but I think the Japanese Milk Bread & Ricotta was the star. SO GOOD! It was all lightly sweet but the jam with ricotta and the added nuts + fruits - a top notch appetizer for sure. The Mushroom Reuben was good but I'm a meat lover so I did miss the meat but it was still hearty with tons of mushroom with the tanginess of the sauerkraut. Good vegan choice if that's what you prefer. My wife liked it cuz it was different. I enjoyed the BLT. Nice thick bread with all the fixings. Both dishes came with brocolli salad. The brocolli salad was good. It does have nuts in it though so don't let that catch you by surprise. The shrimp sandwich looked good and our friend ate it all so I'm going to give it a thumbs up. All the sandwiches came with some really flavorful bread and butter pickles!The linguine was a bit of a let down. It called for asparagus or something but they ran out of the veggie so our friend basically just paid for pasta and edamame. I personally don't think it was worth it and it was lacking in salt. Overall, this place was good. Portions are good (not huge but enough). Service was quick and friendly. They have a lot of vegan options so if you are vegan, this place is a gem.

My friend and I came here for lunch before seeing the exhibits. What already impressed me is the impeccable service. I think they have the friendliest people that work here. I am so impressed; they are so sweet and kind. The staff left a lasting impression. They kept checking on us and see if we needed anything. Chai tea latte is my go-to, so I got their ginger chai tea latte, and it is one of the best I've tasted. A little sweeter than I would like, but the overall taste is lovely. The chai tea latte has full of flavor, and it so creamy. It has a good amount of foam with a nice kick due to the ginger. Next, I had the mushroom reuben, and it was pretty tasty. A little peppery for me, but the sandwich is very flavorful and filling. The broccoli slaw was creamy and had a nice crunch. It was a good lunch. However, I might just come back for the chai tea latte alone.

Took my mom here after looking at their menu about a thousand times. It's literally in the contemporary art building. Everything is so clean and bright. Small little cafe and have to wear a mask but nice employees and good food. My wellness salad had great flavor but had too much kale and not enough portion of the toppings.

Such a cute cafe on the north end of Auto Alley! Cafe Contemporary is in the lobby of the new Oklahoma Contemporary. Even though "cafe" is in its name, Cafe Contemporary is a casual dining experience that offers a full food and drinks menu. They even have happy hour with $6 cocktails from 3pm to 6pm. I'll have to return to the cafe for their happy hour specials. I was here to pick up lunch take-out. I thought I would be good with the Yogurt Bowl, BLT, and a dessert until I saw their awesome coffee bar. I added a Horchata Cold Brew to my order and it was perfect. The food was made to order with fresh ingredients. Everything was delicious. You can certainly tell the Chef and the rest of the team carefully curated their menu offerings. If you are doing takeout, be sure to call ahead so the food will be ready when you arrive. Otherwise, dining in is always an option. Welcome to Auto Alley, Cafe Contemporary!

Did they get a new chef or something??? This place has gone wayyyy downhill!! I saw the great review of the cafe, which I frequent, in Novembers issue of 405 Magazine, and couldn't get back there fast enough!...but wow, I was BEYOND DISAPPOINTED! If, like me, you were looking forward to any of the yummy dishes mentioned in the article, you won't find them any longer. None of them! Not the mushroom burger, not the beef and pork bolognese, even the broccoli slaw is GONE! Their new menu is not only confused and all over the place, and food quality is awful! Recently my entire party had Issues with their food's preparation, quality, and taste. Mushy pasta, terrible bakery items, and while dining, I actually overheard a nearby man say to his companion that they would never be returning. Same here! Don't walk away, run! Wish I could give less than one star, that's being far too complimentary.

I absolutely adore this Cafe! They have amazing pastries and cookies along with such an impressive menu! I recommend getting anything that has bacon jam on it. I love that they add seasonal selections and that everything is so fresh. Not to mention that their cocktails are wonderful too! If the weather is nice make sure you go sit on the upstairs patio and enjoy the views of OKC!

One of my favorite places to eat. I love the fun flavors including ube lemonade. It made my culinary dreams come true. Best cookies ever.

Wow! This place is amazing. There are so many yummy food and drink options for all kinds of diets. Weston was very kind and helpful. I will be coming back again and again.

Lovely atmosphere with amazing food. The staff was very kind and the restaurant was clean. Highly recommend the veggie sandwich and any of the pastas. The drinks are also a 10/10 will be coming back
