Last week our sewer line started to back up into our house, we called our home warranty service and they sent a plumbing service out 2 days later. He came and worked on trying to clear and after maybe 15 minutes he told us he couldn't clear it. He told us that it was probably in the city line and to call their emergency line. We called them and about an hour later they showed up and looked at our line and then left and came back about an hour later and told us that their line is clear and it was in our line. The plumber told us to call him back if the city couldn't fix it, because he had a bigger machine that he could use to clear it, but it was on a different truck in Stillwater and would call back later in the evening and arrange to come back Friday sometime. He told us not to worry and that he was going to take care of us and he would get it cleared out. Unfortunately he never called back and we tried numerous times to contact him on Friday and he never returned our calls. So, we were stuck over the weekend with a clogged sewer line. Monday morning we called our home warranty place back and they denied to cover anymore work on it and they told us that we have to find a plumber on our own and pay for it ourself. We called several plumbing services and left messages for them to call us back and Van Dyck Mechanical was the only one to call us back. They showed up this morning an hour before our scheduled appointment and they tirelessly worked for about 2 hours trying several different ways to clear it up. They never gave up and whenever we had a question they would answer our questions and they would tell us what they were doing. They were very professional and friendly. They're will be our go to place whenever we need any of their services."

I got three bids and Stan's was the lowest AND they told me that my sewer connected to the city line in the opposite corner of my yard that I'd been told by the other plumbers. I was shocked! The guys who did my work were very nice and were respectful of my two goofy dogs and keeping my gate closed. "I communicated with Plumb Genius on July 3rd regarding an invoice made in late June 2019. The overall invoice was $790.00. The total parts were under $100. $400 of Labor is understood but not $700. Discussions with other plumbing services have mentioned that the same level of work would cost much less than $790. The shower arm reset was just two clips to secure the showerhead. PPV320 the sheetrock was already cut there. There was no need for a charge. PPV320 Homeserve gain access to internal plumbing ( SHEETROCK ONLY ) for $45. On July 5th (2 days later) I received a reply "I have received your concern regarding invoice number *****. I see you are unhappy with the agreed-upon price to reset your shower arm. I can forward your concern to the business owner for his review of the charges. He will be out of town until Tuesday, July 9th. I will get back to you once he has reviewed everything. I received no response so I emailed again. On July 22, 2019, I responded again with "Hi, I would like to follow up on the review of invoice number 73889. Previously I mentioned that the overall invoice was $790.00. The total parts were under $100. $400 of Labor is understood but not $700. Discussions with other plumbing services have mentioned that the same level of work would cost much less than $790. The shower arm reset was just two clips to secure the shower head. Also, I would like to add that I felt discriminated against when the technician (Jerred Tipton) that day asked for my driver's license number when I gave him a check for the day. I have a feeling that getting driver's license numbers when customers write checks is not the standard. Once again I didn't receive a response. I sent another email on September 16, 2019, with "Hi. I never got an explanation about the invoice. I'm still confused about the $45.00 home serve gain on the billing and other inquiries."Watch out for Jerred Tipton (Plumb Genius plumber in Edmond). He is a racist man. He used a slur when he came out for the estimate in early June 2019 and then a few weeks later in late June 2019 to try to get the task done. He also used the middle finger as he came through my door. Plus Traci H. and Sharon L. are not genuine reviews on here. Andrea K. sounds generic and not real too. Plumb Genius doesn't come on the same day. You always have to schedule an appointment for them to come out and assess it. There is a service fee of $60 (just to look over and make notes of the problem). Then the homeowner has to schedule another appointment to have them come out and fix it. I had been dealing with Plumb Genius since 2016 and this is how they did me. For me, on June 6, they assess it then on June 27 to do something about it. On June 6, Jerred Tipton (plumber for Plumb Genius) placed on the invoice that it would cost $2100.00 to repair, which does not include WSL to Meter. I had another plumber come by and he charged me $365 to fix the same problem. I contacted Plumb Genius (before June 27) not to send any plumbers over before the appointment on June 27 because the problem was already fixed. Jerred Tipton and other plumbers (for Plumb Genius) came by anyway. I was informed that they were supposed to call before they arrived but never got that call from any of them that day. I looked around the house for minimal issues with the bathroom, so they wouldn't come out for nothing because I felt sorry for them. So I asked to fix the shower knob in the guest bathroom and tighten up the shower head in the master bathroom (and that was it). They still overcharged it for $790.00. So that summer was too much overpricing and discrimination that I have other plumbers (that are not Plumb Genius) to come over from now on.The reason for the late input on Yelp is that their management ignored my contact attempts. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau years ago and they lied to protect themselves. Also whenever I hear that name (Plumb Genius), I just want to advise others to not go to them. They are horrible plumbers and will not follow up on the issue you report with their plumbers. This is a completely honest review and they are a bad business. Please seek elsewhere for your plumbing needs."

"Backstory:I have a tankless water heater that stopped working years ago. Since I moved into this house, I have not used the master bathroom until now. I had a company come out, and they gave me an outrageous quote of over 2k to replace the tankless water heater. The company called me and told me they had difficulty finding the unit to replace the old one; it might take months. So I ended up looking for a new service I found and called Tipton's. Tipton's sent out a gentleman named Luis. Luis replaced the unit on the spot for a quarter of the price the other company quoted me. Embarrassingly I forgot to tip him! Now:My sprinkler system burst during the last bad ice storm. I finally called to get it repaired, and I called Tipton's first because Luis was so excellent the first time. Not only did he fix the sprinkler, but he also did it quickly and for less than the appraisal. The first appraisal guy said they might have to dig up our driveway, which we had expected. Luis did the job without digging up the driveway, and I know his work is solid because our water heater has worked perfectly. Luis is that person, I can't speak for other people at Tipton's, but all my dealing with them have been honest, helpful, and reliable. If they moved from here and used them, my experience with them was different."

"When we decided to replace the gas floor furnaces window a/c units in our 80+ year old home with a geothermal system, we got quotes from three different companies in the area. Because the home had to be retrofitted with ductwork, this was more than your average HVAC installation. We went with Comfortworks because Chris gave us a definite price. The other two indicated the cost could go up depending on how much ground water had to be removed & other possible extra expenses. The entire job took about two weeks, which included having vents installed in the floors, ductwork installed in the crawlspace under the house, installing the Climate Master system inside the house, and installing a new electric hot water heater that ties in to the geothermal system. The installers arrived on time and kept me informed of any delays or issues that cropped up. The cost was reasonable given the amount of work that had to be done and we're extremely happy with end result."

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them. I needed plumbing work done under my house. After the fact, I found out they had charged me about one and a half to double what other companies would have charged for the same work. I questioned them about the cost, and could not get a good reason for the price discrepancy. My bad for not doing my homework. Against my better judgment, because they had promised me a discount on future services, I called Backwoods recently when the flushing system on my toilet went bad. They sent someone out, he messed with the toilet handle, flushed it a couple of times, charged me, said it was all good. Toilet stopped flushing again. Sent same guy back out. Same thing, he thought it was working, it wasn't. Contacted Backwoods again. They completely raged on me in a text message. Wow - can you say "completely unprofessional." I replied as kindly as I could, understanding that they are busy, etc., so can they please schedule me when they get the time. They said he would. Never contacted me, I contacted them again, said they would get to me in the next week. Never did. Texted them again. Never heard back, and still haven't. All I can say is - do your homework, and I hope you have better luck with Backwoods Plumbing then I did."
