"Food is always great here, the steaks are amazing. Never had a bad experience with the service and we've visited 5+ times by now! The ambiance is super casual, but the food is always great!"
"The prix fixe menu is fantastic!! It has gotten more expensive over the years (thanks inflation) but is still a great deal. I love that you can substitute sides that are on the main menu without extra cost as well!!Favorites:RP's tomatoes TamalesLobster tailNext time I would skip the pecan ball ice cream- it was literally a pint of ice cream and I felt bad we couldn't finish it!Overall, this is my favorite steakhouse for the value, the excellent service, and the delicious taste!"

"First time here for our anniversary. I like the look of the place. We arrived early for our reservation and they went ahead and seated us. We started with a bottle of wine: Bella Glos Pinot Noir it's one we enjoy. Started off with crab crakes and they were yummy! The waiter had a large table so we didn't get the order taken for a little while. I got the 7oz filet w garlic compound butter and he got the 10oz filet with truffle compound butter both were very good! Sides were asparagus and au gratin potato's. The potato's were perfectly cooked and the potato's oh my, so delicious! Some of the best I've had. We then got the dolce de leche and it was super delicious. Don't get this confused with tres leche cake, it's not a cake. Everything was pretty great!"
"FoodFood was excellent the Chicken Steak was crispy and moist in the inside. Mash potatos was okay, and the green beans weren't fresh, canned type. Overall is good.ServiceThe servers were pleasant, professional, attentive, and that great southern hospitality. Love it!AmbianceGreat place, 1950s songs in the background. Small little place and clean. I would recommend anyone to dine in. They do breakfast as well."
"Not sure how I haven't heard of this place before. Where else can you find a 10-oz prime filet, Alaskan halibut, and duck breast all on the same plate with sides and dessert for $75 (or less if you're a resort guest)? The menu is set each evening but apparently rotates so be sure to inquire when making reservations. The quality of each dish was excellent. The beef was on par with the better steakhouses in OKC. I'd prefer it plain but the light sauce with mushrooms complemented well. Doubt they would mind leaving it off if you were to ask. I rarely eat duck but this serving made me wonder why I don't have it more often. Halibut was fresh and well prepared. The portions were surprisingly large given they serve three entrées on your plate. Salad was good although it had watermelon chunks which I just pushed aside. We both chose a chocolate truffle brownie type dessert which was great even though we were stuffed by then. Next time I'd probably take it home for later. This isn't your typically stuffy prime steakhouse environment. It's nice but feels more like having a nice dinner service in the home of a friend. We look forward to another visit but will likely stay at the resort next time."
"Great local place in an old Katy Railroad depot. We dined here during an overnight road trip stop and found the Food and service to be wonderful. We dined at the bar along side a colorful set of local residents who basically told us what to order... and they were spot on in their suggestions. My husband had the pork chops, I had the salmon, and we both raved about the food - wonderfully spiced and expertly prepared. Such a treat! Like everywhere, PrairieFire is struggling with a shortage of staff and supplies. Even so, service was very pleasant and not rushed. This locally owned, woman owned business is deserving of your business! I wouldn't hesitate to return and neither should you!"
"A classic Norman establishment owned by the same family forever. Forget other drive ins. This one is the best. But get real for a bit, it's just a drive in. Too many reviews on here are expecting gourmet food. Weirdos! You go for the nostalgia, variety of drinks, good burgers, Cajun fries, and PICKLE-O's!!! It's the perfect place to go in the summer after hanging out at the pool and need a slushy cool down."
"Are here for the second time today. Their fried mushrooms are so good!!! We had the fish and chicken fried chicken. Servings were very generous and everything came out hot and fresh. Service was very friendly and quick. We will definitely come back when we visit the lake again!"
"The atmosphere is very pleasant. The drinks are strong and the beer is cold. The service is nice and polite. They have live music on weekends. The prices are reasonable and it's a great place for a large groups."
"My wife and I favorite spot in Guthrie. Makes for a solid dinner on date night! The service is nice and quick. The food is very good. We always go here for our date night."
"Service and ambiance is a definite FIVE. We had a reservation but got there a bit early. The hostess told us no problem and was very welcoming. We did sit at the bar while our table was readied. Bartender was friendly and quickly tabbed us out when our table was ready. I loved the white jackets that every server wore. It just added to the old-school feel of this place. (We've been binging on "Billions" recently so I really felt like I was in an old NYC establishment.)The relish tray is a great touch and the spicy cheese dip is amazing. It's just the perfect amount. We tried the Caesar and the chopped salad. I would order the chopped salad again but note that it comes with Thousand Island dressing. (Another old school nod.)We also tried the KC strip and the veal chop. I was warned that the veal chop was HUGE. It was. I ate about a quarter of it. It's accompanied by spaghetti Pomodoro which was amazing. In fact, I would try a pasta offering on our next visit. The steak was good but not the best ever but the service and vibe made up for it. Also, while this is an expensive place, I thought the prices were equitable with the experience. (We've definitely paid more for a lot less.)"
"Found a new favorite place! Delicious food. Enjoyed a smoky Old Fashion. I had the steak DiFalco which outstanding! Our waitress answered any questions, the service was great. The ambiance was inviting and comfortable."

If you want a night out at a high-end steakhouse where the food matches the prices, then this is the place for you!!The service is top notch, the portions are huge, and you can taste the quality of ingredients!Morgan waited on me, and she couldn't have been better. So nice, knew the menu, and if I had questions she didn't know the answer to, she found out for me!!Appetizer: crab cakesSo delicious - full of crab and light on filler. Everything a crab cake should be. And the mustard sauce served with them is so tangy and compliments perfectly. My only critique is it needs more, so I asked for extra hahaEntree: bone-in ribeyePerfectly cooked, juicy, tender, and most of all, flavorful. Then, add the blue cheese crust and out comes perfection. The loaded mashed potatoes came out super hot and were a great compliment as they were creamy and so delicious. No complaints here.Dessert: chocolate spoon cake with homemade caramel. Such a great end to a phenomenal dinner. Rich, sweet, and fabulous.Be sure to give this place a try for a special occasion or if you just want to treat yourself, like I did

It's not that Ranch Steakhouse is bad, it's just that it's not a consistent steakhouse. In fact, it was the best steakhouse for me at one point but for the past few years it has not live up to my expectations, especially the most recent visit. I took a friend to Ranch Steakhouse for his belated birthday on 6/23/24. We ordered both of the daily specials, 35 days dry aged ribeye for $100 and 8 oz of wagyu filet for $240. The ribeye came out ZIZZLING hot on the plate. The middle of the steak initially had a slight pink but it self cooked to become well done very quickly. This was so far off from medium rare that I couldn't eat it. I had to trade it for my friend's wagyu filet which came out medium rare. We should have returned the ribeye because the cooking was the most off I have seen at a steakhouse. It was overcooked that some parts of the ribeye were burnt, crunchy, and salty. The worst part of all, we spent $484 plus the additional 20% tip for a pretty AVERAGE dinner. I expect exceptional steaks cooked to perfection, not overcooked steaks when spending that amount of money. Luckily, the bread was still as amazing as before. The same could be said about the rock shrimp. The drinks were great and the dessert was good. Asparagus spears were tiny. Don't know why they couldn't get bigger asparagus. Service was good as always. I've said it before and I will say it again, this will probably be my last visit, sadly, to the Ranch.

I have passed this diner for years and thought many times that I would like to stop. The curb appeal is old school 50's diner. Today me and my son stopped to have breakfast! We are so glad we did! Excellent place in every way! Great ambiance!, great service!, great food!, super clean! Nothing negative about this place. It is a must stop! Anytime I'm traveling past I will most certainly be stopping to eat! Excellent coffee! Restroom were super clean!

A hidden gem! Spectacular service and food reminiscent of what one would expect from upscale restaurants in the 80's oil boom! The owners and staff have left no stone unturned in perfecting the dining experience. The complimentary peach hibiscus mimosas with fresh pressed juice are delightful. The salad was impressive. The entree was unbelievable. Filet fit for a queen, grilled duck breast was surprisingly tender and so flavorful, Alaskan halibut was fresh and cooked to perfection, who needs the sides?! We could not finish our entrees and were offered to-go containers. Dessert of lemon cake with vanilla mousse and blackberry sauce was enjoyed as a midnight snack and left us dreaming of this fabulous meal. Cannot wait to visit again!

We were in Elk City for a conference and my colleague selected Prairiefire as our dinner spot. Located on the west side of town in an old train station it is a pretty unassuming building from the outside.Inside the atmosphere is trendy/casual, the staff are friendly and service is good. We ordered up some appetizers which were good, my favorite were the potato nachos. For the main course I selected the chopped steak, sans peppers and onions with mashed potatoes and gravy, greenbeans and a side salad with ranch. Salad came first, it was tasty but a little on the smallish side. The main plate followed and it was Uhmazing!Think of the best hamburger you can find, top it off with brown gravy and and potatoes and you've got the equivalent of a warm flavorful comfortable blanket on a cold winter's day. I'm not from Elk City but I'd probably go out of my way to see about having that dinner again.Check out Prairiefire-you'll be pleased.

We had the Philly cheesesteak with fries and the fried mushrooms. They weren't bad, just nothing to get excited about the fries tasted like they've been sitting around for a while and the mushrooms were definitely previously frozen from a bag. We had the dinner rolls, which had a good flavor, but were also not hot.

"Why does this place only have 3 stars? This was great food! Three of us had chicken fried steak which was a perfect size...not those mondo pieces where you can't find the steak for the breading. It was hand breaded and tender. I had fried okra with mine...crispy and delicious. Another one of us had salmon and it was fantastic...cooked on a cedar plank and the seasoning on top was amazing. They were out of coleslaw so she ordered grilled veggies which were well worth it. Then we all ordered our own slice of coconut cream pie and that did not disappoint. All this for under $52!We enjoyed our food here last night so much that we came back today for lunch. The food and service were excellent AGAIN. We started with fried pickles which were good and spicy. I had the fried catfish with okra. Asked for extra lemons and the waitress gave me a full mug full. I used them all. The fish was very crispy, just the way I like it. Dad had the fried shrimp and he got 15 medium size shrimp. He also ordered a draft Bud Light which was super cold. The cocktail sauce was too sweet...needed more horseradish. The nachos were also good. Definitely recommend."
"Outstanding place for a great drink and great atmosphere. Service was outstanding, the old fashions were on point."
"Amazing food and amazing service. You won't be disappointed. They have the best cabbage rolls, hummus, and tabouli in the OKC metro area."
"Came for lunch on a whim through town and plan to be back! We Had the Turkey Melt and the Fried chicken sandwich. Both very good and reasonably priced. Service was great. Clearly a family run business that we are happy to support. The menu had a ton of options so we look forward to coming back next time through."
"In wheeler since 1984. Maxeys special is my favorite get it medium rare. Chicken fried steak is also one of the best you'll eat anywhere. And the service is fantastic"
"We had bacon wrapped filet steaks here last Saturday! They were delicious. There was no wait to get in and seated. The wait staff was attentive, margaritas were delicious. We also had garlic cheese nuggets for appetizers and they were the best fried cheese appetizer we have had. Will definitely come back for a great dinner out!!"
"AMAZING!! This is my mom and I's first time here and I can gladly say I will continue to come back. I would get the steak again with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy AND THEN add a side of Brussels sprouts extra. Our server was so sweet even her trainee did great. Restaurants like this always worry me cause I feel like it's a 50/50 shot but this 100/100. *We ate the food too fast to take a before picture*"
"We were excited to have a steak house open up near us. Watson's takes reservations, which we were unable to get, but they opened up a few walk-in spots. We went on Sunday evening with the hopes of getting a table. We got lucky as they had some folks cancel so we got right in and seated. The ambiance and atmosphere is very nice. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. The owner even came by a few times to check on us. We were a party of four. My wife had the filet mignon which was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. She also had the Brussel sprouts and loaded potatoes. Excellent. I had the 12 ounce sirloin cooked medium rare along with scallops, house salad and asparagus. It was all very good. I ordered a shrimp cocktail for an appetizer. It was good (not the best but still delicious.). Our friends had the bacon wrapped filet mignon along with the lobster cream sauce, a huge wedge salad and loaded potatoes. Cooked to perfection and delicious. He also had a smoked old fashioned which he said was great as well. His wife ordered the picanha. She raved about how good it was. We didn't have dessert as we were too full. My total bill with tip was $159.00. Worth every dollar. We will be back."
"Food was amazing as always. Server must have been new we never received our salads or biscuits."
"Great spot for good eats, cool vibes and friendly service! Went out with friends from work and had the best time. If you're ever in Shawnee, stop by! You'll love the charm, hospitality and grub!"
"Everything was amazing! The food was to die for! There were four of us when we went. Our friend was pregnant and the server was very accommodating to her needs. He was lovely even though he was new. He answered the many questions my husband had regarding everything from sauces to sides. We were seated in a quiet area with comfortable seating. We weren't rushed at all allowing us to enjoy our food and time together. I wish I had a picture of my food, but trust me it was gorgeous and delicious! I ordered the Firebird pasta and everyone else ordered steaks. No one had any complaints! I highly recommend treating yourself to this amazing place! It's one of the best restaurants in OKC!"
"We when travel to Winstar we always make plans to have dinner at Ken's. The steak is done to perfection. Don't really have to use a knife, so tender. The ambiance is perfect. Very cozy for date night! The service is outstanding and take great care of you. The bar make some of the best Moscow Mules around."
"The location is downtown on Sheridan. You will need to pay for parking so prepare. Once inside the restaurant was fairly empty. It was around 1pm and we decided on the salad lunch bar for $19.99 as the all meat experience was $39.99. I was told it's normally salad $29.99 and meat experience $54.99 on weekdays/evenings. First let me say my friend raved about this place she really enjoyed it and thought I would love the assortment of salads. My first impression of salad bar (nice). I was excited to dig in and discover new Brazilian flavors and dishes. The bar was filled with so many options.. I took alittle taste of everything and to my disappointment I only liked the beef stroganoff and the cold spicy salad and the potatoes were good but not special to Brazilian food. I was disappointed. The drinks were good but one person in the party didn't like the sangria and everyone loved the warm pineapple which doesn't make the cost $19 for salad a great meal. I'd come back for drinks but not much else. Also our waiter was slow and never refilled water or asked if we needed anything additional. Again the place wasn't crowded they were not to attentive. I wanted to love the place but not my cup of tea!"
"Exceptional! Great birthday dinner and drinks were had by all.Service, seating, and the steaks were all fabulous. Can't wait to return!"
"Traveling from AZ along SR 40 East bound. We stop in McAllester, OK for the night. The front desk representative at our hotel recommended Captain John's right across the street for a nice dinner. This small town eatery does not disappoint. I had the shrimp skewers with a side of red beans and rice. Hubby had the seafood bisque with cornbread. Barbara M our server made the recommendation and she was right on! The seasonings and serving size was just the right amount. So very tasty!! Should we pass through the town of McAllester, there is definitely a repeat visit in our future. See you later alligator Barbara M."
"Had an early dinner when they opened at 4. Spent the afternoon at the Lodge pool ($10/person), got dried off and dressed. There were four of us, 3 adults and a child. We had hamburgers, a steak wrap and children's strips.$5 mojitos were good, not overly sweet and well balanced flavors. Would get againHamburger is the way to go. Would get them again. Fries are great, onion wings too. The kids chicken was a huge portion and had a full take home box. I personally would pass on the steak wrap, lacked flavorService was excellentAmbiance is always a little off putting,1970's tiki bar cheaply done, but the child liked it"
"Patrick (the owner) is the man!! He always works to please everyone at the restaurant and has a smile on his face while doing it. Best sushi restaurant in the metro area by far. I'll never stop eating at Cafe Icon!"
"Catfish Was On Point!!!!I didn't care for the Cole slaw, but I'm super picky about that...every else was super tasty & the staff was very friendly."
"My family and I revisited Kobes again tonight. I added a star from my last visit. The food is really good and filling but I feel like honestly the amount of fried rice that is served could be more but the restaurant is super clean and the chef was funny. I ordered the Goyza and Hibachi steak. It was amazing.I dropped off a star because the service just lacks here. You have to ask for everything including refills."
"Phenomenal steaks.I have eaten many steaks, at many fine restaurants. I cannot recall better. Between us we had three cuts: ribeye, filet, and strip? And they were all just fantastic. We all had the same side, which you have to ask for: loaded mashed potatoes. They aren't on the menu, but get them! Our appetizer, Clothesline Bacon, was fun and tasty. So we're our cocktails. Is it pricey? Yes. Is it worth the money? Absolutely. Phenomenal steak. Just phenomenal."
"Wow what a surprise! Open Thursdays-Saturday 5:30pm to 9:00pm. Very good place to eat. Food perfectly cooked, well seasoned steaks. Great service. If your in Oklahoma and looking for a good weekend get-a-way. Make sure your hungry!"
"Stopped in for an early dinner on the way through; they're very close to I-40.Excellent service, good food. I had the chicken fry and the Babe had the shrimp skewers. Both were very good. The server brought rolls out to the table with a variety of butters; EXCELLENT yeast rolls! The prices were amazing.Definitely on our recommended list.Planned on stopping in on the way back through but our timing was off and we didn't make it. Will certainly stop in the next time we're through Elk City."
"Wow, where do I begin? Was on a road trip from OK to CA and all I wanted was a good steak dinner. Saw the Red River figured I was in for a treat. Walked in and immediately felt comfortable. Nice place, Sarah sat us at out table and told is about the specials. I had the larger ribeye and my friend had the fried catfish. The salads were terrific and the steak was excellent. Ate so much we turned down the offer of free desert!Oh and the price? Wow, impressively affordable. Thanks guys!"
