"Overview: 5/5I had to try a Mexican Food truck while here in OKC. There are tons of them but Taqueria Sanchez had very high reviews. Ambiance : N/AIt's a food truck in a parking lot. Some picnic tables if you choice to eat there. Most people were picking up orders to go. Food/Drink 5/5Outstanding authentic Mexican. I had the four street taco plate with pork, chicken and beef. I got a side of refried beans and rice (yum).Service : 5/5Fast, they give you a good buzzer to let you know when your order is ready. Conclusion : Fabulous!! Now I know why it has such high ratings and a long line for placing orders. We will be back next year."
"Great tacos, on Tuesday during Taco Tuesday, this is the place to go, Staff is friendly and will tell you all about each taco. There is enough meat in these tacos to keep you filled up for the day! Below, I got Beef, Pork and Chicken."
"I don't have much to say about this place except for that I'm so happy they have a brick and mortar shop now! I can't believe I've not been here sooner. Everything was so good. I tried the chicken and jalapeño eggrolls which were amazing, the traditional with thinly sliced steak was delicious. The steak is cooked rare and the noodles were super spicy, which I love spicy so, for me.. it was perfect. My hubby and son got the traditional with a side of goku steak. They both enjoyed their meals as well. We came on a Friday evening at 7:30PM. We didn't have to wait, and our hostess sat us immediately. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, and all the food items we ordered were amazing. Can't wait to try the chicken curry dish next time!"
"Food was great! I had the monthly special Korean Beef and the jalapeño chicken one. You can choose two different rolls for your meal. You get a lot of food for the money and the taste/flavor combinations are great! I'll be back!"
"A solid taco spot with good flavors and unique tortillas and hot sauces. The pineapple hot sauce is my fav, but they are all good.Meat quality seems to be slightly lacking, with a lot of noticeably inedible pieces (across several visits), but a certain amount of this is to be expected in the average taco spot. A bit more spot trimming would give better customer experience. The burrito is very uninspired, with a disproportionate amount of rice and the taco ingredients are just thrown in haphazardly, leading to bites of pure rice. I say charge more and put less filler. Or remove the burrito entirely. The tacos are all designed to be explosive in flavor and proportionally balanced. The burrito just seems like an afterthought "throw taco filling into a larger tortilla with rice." This could just be a burrito assembly issue, but I would never order it again to find out, so who knows. My girlfriend loves the taco salad with shrimp."
"This is my first taco spot I'm trying in OK coming from CA. I couldn't believe the prices!!! Usually when you see prices like this the meat quality is horrible. In Los Angeles you can find bomb tacos anywhere and these tacos were actually pretty good! For the price, the meat is decent. They came with a red and green sauce. Green was creamy with a little spice. I prefer the red; but normally I'm a green sauce girl. I'll be back!! If they add a little cup of consomé to this they've be !!"
"Spunkies are masters of what they do. This soul food right here went to Harvard. Go argue with your mama. Like many of the reviews read, this isn't fast food (McSpunkie's). You will wait. Nothing crazy though. I think I waited like 15-20 mins or so. But that's because the entrees are freshly made when you order. Plus do you really want soul food that's ready in 5 minutes or less? probably not. I've been there twice and on the first visit I got the fried pork chops which were insanely delicious. Juicy and Seasoned just right. It was raining heavily that day so I just took my food to the car and devoured it in the parking lot while listening to my favorite podcast (Here's the thing). The 2nd time, I got the wings. Also very good and reminded me of how wings are made back home in MD. Mattafack.... Spunkies originated in MD, so they definitely get extra love from me. I've only gotten mommies sweet potatoes and the Mac and cheese. Both are ahhhmazing. I don't love going to Penn square mall, but this food is totally worth it. Oh and let's not forget the honey bread roll. Everything I've had here doesn't disappoint."
"I've been waiting to try this! So glad I drove right past this evening! Got the Churros Rellenos ! Yummmmm! So fresh and filled perfectly with the most delicious flavors! Will definitely go back! Super clean and friendly staff at the food truck and lots of other delicious options!"
"I love this food truck so much. Not entirely traditional Mex, but such consistently delicious food for a fair price. They also give you a free can of soda with your order. We love their burritos, quesadillas, and when they have lengua tacos (beef tongue), definitely get those! I have yet to try their birria but that's next on my to order list."
"I've had the asada and chicken tacos. Freakin awesome stuff. And it's only 1.75 per taco. Three of those is a very full meal. Whenever I'm in town from Dallas, this is my spot. Dream about it"
"We decided on this particular taco truck on a whim because every time we drove by, there were always quite a few people. It didn't matter what time, lunch, dinner, way after dinner, there were people. There are actually at least 3 taco trucks that are closer to the house, but we passed all of them to come to La Piñata. DOES NOT DISAPPOINT. I haven't had taco truck in forever. And we were impressed with how much flavor we got, but it is CHEAP for the amount of food. He got a huge burrito, and I got a torta. Nachos are LEGIT. I don't know what verde sauce they use, but it's so good!I usually can't finish mine, but he devours his. Sometimes he wants more. My rating is based on other taco trucks....after my sister brought me a torta from another place. It just wasn't the same. I was pretty disappointed! So, we have gone back on multiple occasions. Tried the street tacos as well. Everything is good!Bring cash, though! And they have a phone to call in your order! What makes me the happiest is we are supporting local. They stay open so late on the weekends, but if you're hungry, this is the place to go. We drive a few extra miles just for them. Worth it."

This is my first stop once I land in OKC. Best tripa tacos EVER..the crunch is so good Beef, tongue and beef cheek are also favs. I haven't found a place in Cali that compares to these tripe tacos. Not in the best area, but well worth it. They have outdoor seating now as well. Service is quick. Cash only. Was too excited to eat, forgot to take a picture of the food.

The fried enoki mushrooms were really good! I loved that it came with a lemon mayo. They were a little oily. But they were fried, so I can't complain too much about that. There were a lot of people inside and actually waiting for it to open. We had to wait a while to order our food. I tried the cumin braised beef noodles. The noodles were so good. The texture was a yummy chewy bouncy noodle that you want to savor and enjoy! I really love thick noodles and these did not disappoint! Although the price is kind of expensive, I really enjoyed my lunch! My boyfriend got the traditional noodles and added chicken to his and it was delicious too. I'd say the flavor on his was better, but more spicy. Something that would make the cumin braised beef bowl better is if they took all that meat and chopped it up in a little pieces. It was kinda hard to eat a bite of it with the noodles without stabbing it with a fork and biting it off with my teeth first. The service is pretty slow and the prices are high. I do like everything we tried and I like to support local business, but I don't know if I'll be back soon.

Very cool concept mixing traditional Asian takeout with American and Tex mex flavors. The egg rolls are well priced and can serve as a fun lunch during the middle of the week lull. I've had about all of their flavors but highly recommended the southwest. Wether you dine in there comfortable restaurant or take out. You will not be disappointed.

This past Cinco De Mayo my boyfriend and I went to an event at Scissortail Park. I remember it being a hot and humid day and there were several food trucks to choose from. We chose Taco Empire and were extremely happy with our choice! I forgot all about how hot it was, as I was satisfying my hunger with delicious food! I started following them on social media and fast forward to a few weeks ago. We saw they were having a grand opening on November 19, 23 at their new brick and mortar location and you would get a free chips and queso with you order. We walk into a nice clean establishment. It wasn't overly busy at all. Walked right up to the register and placed our order. The gentleman at the counter wasn't exactly welcoming or inviting. He never mentioned the free chips and queso with our order, I had to ask.Food took a while. We got the chips and queso after our food. Queso wasn't flavorful and I was glad I didn't spend money on it. My boyfriend got his quesabirria tacos, beans and rice first. My food came several minutes later. I got the fish taco, steak taco, and elote. The quesbirria tacos were great! Lots of meat and cooked to perfection. Very flavorful! My tacos were good, but they were cold. It was as if they were just sitting there and maybe they forgot to bring my food when it was ready. Rice was solid and the beans were okay. The elote (corn) was not what I was expecting at all! It was cut in a funky way and covered in oil! It was greasy and lacked flavor! I wouldn't recommend it. I will say that I left highly disappointed! It's not that the food was horrible, but the quality wasn't the same as what we had out of the food truck and it was just all underwhelming. I also felt like service wasn't the greatest. This is the grand opening ... no one asked us how the food was, and your serving cold food? This is a time to shine and present your best to make people want to come back. Haven't decided if I'll give them another try.

Love this taco truck.Fast service, good prices and the barbacoa taco or carnitas taco are where it is at!!Salsas are good and spicy.I go by there regularly and always get extra and just reheat any leftovers in a pan with a little butter to crisp up the tortillas!Love it! Maybe one day they will open a brick and mortar, but if not I'll gladly keep eating out of a box!

"Really impressed. My sister and I both ordered a potato with steak on top. It was delicious and that puppy is LARGE. I ate for two meals. Food was ready and hot. We're going back for sure."
"Tried the empanadas and they were delicious. The filling tasted amazing and the empanadas were cooked to perfection. I also got a Frescolita, what a treat. I put in my order and was told a new batch would be ready in 10 minutes and it took exactly 10 minutes to have my number called, as promised. The food truck was at the Fiesta of the Americas, but I will sure find them at their normal spot to try some arepas and pastels"
"This place is great. We just loved out of Norman and I wish I would have found it sooner because we would definitely go again. I got the birra nachos and my partner got the quesabirra tacos. We got it through DoorDash. Everything was packed well. Portions were great."
"Some of the best Indian food I've had. Yummy, quick, inexpensive, and very friendly staff. Simple menu with lots of made from scratch drinks and meals."
"I almost forgot to take a picture because it smelled so good. The food was incredible. Simple food with magnificent flavor. I didn't make it in time for yuca fries, but I will definitely put it on my list. I'm telling everyone about this gem."
"Start driving here. You can read later. I stopped by because a place that got good reviews up the road was closed. I'm glad it was. I had a Torta that was out of this world! I took another home so I could have it later if that tells you anything. There's a orange color sauce that I put on it that Set. It. Off. I'm taking my brother some tamales so we'll see what he thinks. But bet me I won't be back next time I'm nearby."
"Tasty and worth the wait. Stumbled across this place late after the bar. Surprise it was open. Meat was juicy and tender."
"Review #88Location: 91 Monroe Ave, NE, Piedmont, OK 73078, off Piedmont Rd S, inside the same Bldg shared with The Pristine Salon & Spa.Use the far right door to enter and the coffee shop is the small space in the right corner. I walked in and saw women getting hair done, etc and thought maybe it was only drive thru, but they do have a small counter space and area to order inside.Facility/Bldg: It's in a dark and medium grey wood Bldg with beige brick trim and looks like a farmhouse. They have a covered patio with comfy chairs and a small table to sit at. You can go inside to order or use the right side of the Bldg to use the drive thru. I went inside and the two women were nice and helpful. They have some of their coffee mugs you can purchase. Coffee: They use Trinity Blend espresso and Grounds 4 Compassion local coffee roasters. They offer iced, hot, or frozen drinks, typical coffee drinks or fountain drinks. Non-coffee drinks like hot chocolate, chai or green tea, lemonade, and numerous syrup flavors and milk options.I got the Southern Bourbon Caramel Latté frozen/blended and it was great as it was 103 degrees out.Parking: they share the parking lot with the salon so there are spaces but the salon gets busy so you may have to park in the neighboring business lots or off the street.Hours: Sun-Mon: closed; Tues-Fri: 7am-12pm; Sat: 9am-2pm. Starting 16 Jun their summer hours increase and Tues-Fri will extend til 2pm.Company: The owners are Lucas and Ceeja Malmkar and they love to create new seasonal flavors of drinks. This is their brick and mortar Bldg, as their coffee truck/trailer business did so well they opened the permanent location. There is a different Yelp business page for the mobile coffee truck/trailer business based in Yukon, so use that one to review the mobile trailer. Obviously they go beyond Yukon for the mobile trailer based on requests and their business needs, but Yukon is the base location.Posted on Thurs, 10 Jun 2021"
"This place is magic. Everything is super-affordable, I have never had a bad customer service experience, and these street tacos are the things of dreams. Here's what to do: go grab some cash and a slightly adventurous friend (or someone who you wish was more adventurous!) and head down to one of the locations in OKC. You can most often find a truck at this location and also at NW 10th & Pennsylvania.Remember: it's cash only. And for said cash you can get SO MANY TACOS! All of the varieties are delicious, but if you want to hit that culinary sweet spot, grab a dozen or so carnitas (pork) tacos, a couple of glass bottle Cokes or Fantas and plenty of napkins. Find a sunny spot in a park and prepare to have your mind blown. Everything here is on mark - the freshness, the flavor and the price! Prepare to dream about these tacos until you can repeat the experience and talk in hushed tones because your friends are convinced that you've been rendered unable to talk about anything else. When you get tired of the tacos, which I really can't imagine you could, try the burrito, the quesadilla or the excellent torta. Keep cash in your wallet, you never know when the urge for tacos will strike. And luckily, they are open every day and late! And just in case you wondered, yes, save them in a airtight container and they are possibly even better the next day. Lunch game? ON."
"Dont pass up this truck on the eastside! Right next to the 7-11 on 36th on the north side of the road. The meat has so much flavor and was nice and tender. I got the #10 and dh got the chicken platter and lemme tell you the seasoning on that chicken.. Oh my lawd.. Tortillas so fresh and warm! Definintely go check em out, no dissapointment!!"
"Hubs and I tried this place. The staff greeted us warmly. The chicken and dressing were tasty. Big portions and flavor was good. We also ordered the oxtails that were so good, they make you want to slap your mama. The greens were cooked perfectly. The catfish is cooked just how I like it. Fried Mac n cheese will be a big hit. Straw short cake was served in a handy jar with a lid. Very tasty. Go get your eat on !!!"
"I ordered the chicken stew. The 3 stars were solely because I had to cook the food when I got home. It was done but it wasn't tender. The service was okay. I'm all for supporting but I don't know if I'll run back for more."
"Ordered 4 tacos. Steak and spicy pork. Didn't care for the steak.. lacked flavor. Did enjoy the pork tacos. Side of beans was way too runny like soup. Husband ordered steak burrito. Was supposed to come with beans bc we had asked if it came with beans. When we got home there was no beans in the burrito. Will definitely go back to order spicy pork tacos. Will pass on everything else we tried. Gal who took the order was nice and friendly. They accept cash and cards."
"Next time... I need to take pictures. This place was incredible. They were parked out in front of Stonecloud after the OSU Homecoming game... of which we WON! Go Pokes! All I can say is that I have not had this good of a philly cheesesteak since I went to Philadelphia and ate at Tony Luke's! What an amazing sandwich! I can't believe we have this level of food truck in our town. Find where they are... go there as soon as possible... and love it like I have. Maybe I'll see you there!"
"Ive had my fair share of gyros and this place has become one of my favorite places to get my fix. The customer service was great, they take their time, and offer suggestions. The gyro was pretty big, had a good amount of juicy flavorful chicken, the veggies were fresh and the white sauce was great. The fries were surprisingly seasoned perfectly, 1 of the better fries that I have had."
"Beautiful food truck sat outside of the onsite grocery store. Although the grocery store is very small the food truck makes up for it! It didn't list prices and most things were in Spanish - I went with 2 chicken tacos and 2 quesabirria tacos to go. For 4 of those it was about $14. I think the chicken were $2 each and the others $4.50(?) each? Still a great price. The flavor is absolutely flavor town. They gave me additional sauces I didn't even try or use them, squeezed a lime on each taco and enjoyed allll of the flavors. I also love that they add relish carrots to the plate as well. The dining area is one of the most gorgeous set ups I've seen in Oklahoma for a food truck. Incredible food and crazy cheap for authentic food! Next time I'll try the taco platter! 10/10 will be back! Please ignore the bad picture - I got it to go and accidentally tipped the side over when I got home so the food displaced - when I first opened it at the food truck the presentation was perfect!"
"Had the shrimp basket today... wow it was good! Cocktail sauce perfect and hush puppies amazing. This is a hidden gem of a spot!"
