The deviled eggs were delicious, the fried pickles were crunchy but too sweet; they tasted like honey mustard. The mains were delicious; the burnt ends and turkey were both juicy and savory and the sauce selection was great. The cornbread was also super sweet but pretty good anyway. My broccoli was sadly cold and mushy, probably the bottom of the tray, but the slaw was crunchy and tasty. The portions were huge! Service was decent, but kinda overly friendly and trying too hard. Music not too loud, overall good for conversation. I would come again!"

"Sometime five stars feels inadequate. Sometimes was this time. I was visiting for work and Kings was HIGHLY recommended by some locals. You'd never know it from pulling up, but when I opened my car door the aroma of smoked meats immediately enveloped me. I feel horrible that I didn't get the name of the lady at the counter, but she was magnificent. Not only did she help explain when I mentioned it was our first time there, she felt like she was part of our crew. My friend and I have a little joke because she calls me by my "professional" work name of Daniel, so when they asked for my name and I said Dan, my friend corrected with Daniel when I was getting my drink. So the lady at Kings made sure to call me Daniel the rest of our visit, until we were leaving when she said Dan. It's THAT kind of service that makes me remember and return. The bbq...from someone in Texas? I ordered chopped brisket, burnt ends, and pork ribs. I'm going to say something I never thought I'd say. This wasn't "good for outside of Texas bbq". This was top five bbq I've EVER had. EVER. I WILL be back. I WILL recommend Kings BBQ. You are missing out if you don't go. The photo doesn't do it justice. You need to experience it yourself."

There was at least 6 or so pork options from pork belly to spicy marinated pork. Aside from meats, you can order as much soup (doenjang and soondubu offered), treobokki, fried chicken, japchae, and more dishes that compliment the meats."

"Found this yummy place on a road trip heading to Michigan from Texas. It was very busy on a Saturday at 1pm so that was a sign of the great food to come! Hubby had the catfish plate with spicy black eyed peas & sweet apple coleslaw and hushpuppies. He cleaned his plate!! I got the 2 meat plate with mild sausage and brisket with potato salad (Just like I make!!) and crispy fried okra. The brisket was tender and lean. The sausage had just the right blend of spice. "When visiting OKC/Edmond, The Mule is a MUST!!!!! I had the pleasure of tasting the macaroni pony years ago and I am still hooked! I went around lunch time and it was fairly busy but I was able do able to grab a seat at the bar. Since I was "on vacation" I of course had to try one of those tasty OK beers they had on tap.....Iron Monk Velvet Amber was a winner. I will say their cocktails also look delicious. I started with the fried green tomatoes.....delicious but honestly, should have went with the cheese curds. To my surprise, I decided to try something different. Went with The Cortez. The short rib was flavorful and melted in my mouth and the jalapeño cornbread was BOMB but....overall it was just blah. Next time I may ask if I can add mac & cheese to it. Probably would have elevated it for my taste. I also skipped on the grilled jalapeños so who knows, maybe I messed up on that one. Overall it was a great experience as always. The bartender was so sweet and attentive!"

First off, while we were waiting in line and looking through the menu one of the workers came around and gave everyone in line a sample of their ribs. What a great business model cause if you're not sure about the ribs, now you can try it before committing (but you should just commit to getting the ribs). My favorite was the brisket, but everything was just so dang delicious. We ordered 2 rib tours and split it between 3 ppl and this was plenty for us. It is tender, flavorful, and pairs well with the Teri sauce. The steak is flavorful but very chewy, which isn't my vibe, and I did subtract a star for this. Especially since the steak has an upcharge. The spam musabi is very flavorful and salty and has a pleasant texture. The rice really helps balance the salty spam. Overall, it's a nice snack item. The tossed salad was fresh with plenty of carrotts and a couple of tomatoes. For a fast food side salad, I'm pleased. Dressing was also good. The rice was good. I enjoyed it with the sauce on top.For the price, you get a lot of protein, and this is a protein heavy place. Meat is the star of the show, and the Teri sauce is the co-star. Additionally, the atmosphere was nice. Music was a little loud, but inside had a good layout that made it easy to order, pick up, eat, grab drinks, dispose of trash, etc, without disrupting other customers. Overall good place."

We were greeted by "Princess" and she took our drink order. When she returned with drinks, we ordered the AYCE BBQ rib dinners; mine with Stone Mill potatoes and green beans and my wife ordered the tabouli and fried okra. She said the tabouli was really good. I liked my potato's and green beans. [I like pepper!] I could not have ordered more ribs after eating what was first delivered. They were good and filling. Almost didn't get a picture. "I found myself in the not so little northern Oklahoma town of Enid for work and wandered into this joint for dinner. I am so glad I did... to the point that I ended up not being upset about being out of town and by myself on my birthday. Admittedly, I am particular about my bbq, especially ribs. I genuinely expected very little from this joint in regards to quality of the bbq but I was absolutely blown away by Swadley's... in a good way.The setting is very pleasant and the cleanliness is above most. The service is excellent (thank you Ariana!) and my glass was never below 1/2 full. The menu choices are vast but not overwhelming. The prices are surprisingly lower than most bbq joints in TX. The fresh cut fries and the sweet beans are enjoyable. They offer 4 bbq sauces so you can customize your flavor... but you may not even mess the sauce because the meat is excellent. The brisket is tender, has a nice smoke ring and a flavorful bark. The sausage isn't greasy or spicy so it is enjoyable too. The chicken is seasoned and cooked perfectly. The ribs have the right amount of pull from the bone, bark, tenderness, and flavor. Very impressive Swadley's! Very impressive!"

Ribs were less tender and meats were sticking to some part of bones. Fried catfish filets were on the smaller side. Baked beans and green tomato relish sides were good. If you're able to get good discounts, I would recommend to check it out. Without discounts, I feel like there are better restaurants out there with better catfish and BBQ for the same cost. Super friendly service as well."

"Mahhm! this place looks good! It's a mile off the highway [well-trained, huh?], and it has all different kinds of barbecue. There are 21 reviews and they're, like, almost all five stars!" Then the naysayer speaks up, wanting a lesson in averages- how can it be five stars if not all the reviews are five stars? Such explanation was just long enough to entertain us before pulling under the covered parking (limited, but it exists!) at Papa's Barbecue.Prices are $$ (but what isn't these days, esp. if we're not doing Mickey D's, which... we're not), and the kids both assure me they will eat their whole sandwich. So we order one for each: S has the (small... i.e., regular size) pulled pork sandwich with a side of fried okra, C has the bacon cheeseburger with a side of fried okra, and I have the (small, i.e., regular size) sliced brisket sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. $26. We enjoyed our wait, as the place (a reno'ed gas station) was cute and clean. I'm not a fan of cutesy- it was not that. It was thoughtfully well-crafted, with the cleanest exterior bathrooms I've ever seen. The kids, during our wait, caught sight of the complimentary ice cream dispenser, and I honestly have no idea how I was able to get out of that one. We took our order to go, after picking up some pickles from the pickle bar, dousing my sandwich in some barbecue sauce on the table, and perusing the everlasting hot sauce bar. I took one bite of my brisket, on a sweet potato (not sweet potato, but sweet, potato) bun, and closed my eyes. It was so tender, so tasty, so worthy of five stars. I don't always eat barbecue, but when I do, I want it to taste like this. I tasted the kids' sandwiches, too, and was glad we all ordered something different. Each sandwich was strong on flavor and clearly the work of someone who figured out how to craft barbecue. While I loved their sandwiches, I think the sliced brisket was my favorite. We'll be back to Papa's. The next time we're in a rush to get out of town, I'm not stopping at Sonic. The next time we're in a rush to have dinner as we arrive from out of town, I'm not stopping at Whole Foods. We're going to Papa's, and we're ALL getting ice cream. And pickles. Not at the same time."
