"Paper Arts relocated from east Edmond to central when the previous (obnoxious) owner decided to retire. The revised crafting haven is a much needed store in Edmond. True, old-fashioned customer service that is delightful. These ladies don't just want to sell something, they want you to learn how to use the products as well. Multiple classes, free demos and make-n-takes throughout each month give patrons lots of education opportunities. Friday night crops are a great way to learn from others and make new friends. Open crop throughout the week lets you escape the daily grind and express your creativity! If you were unhappy with the old location, give the new gals a try."
"Our 8 year old niece loves science and art. She had a Friday off from school, so we were looking for something to take her to do. I was searching ideas online when I came across Hawaii Fluid Art in south OKC. The reviews were good, so we booked a session for her to create a 12"x12" painted canvas. The price was reasonable, and we knew it would be something she would love. When we showed up, the owner, Linda, was so nice. She excellent with kids. I mentioned to her that she was very patient, and she said she really enjoys working with kids. Honestly, that showed with her interaction with our niece. She made the whole experience very exciting and interactive, making sure that our niece was a part of everything that was done with that painting. She let it totally be our niece's art piece, but helped guide her based on her experience working with colors and the medium. She never rushed the process. The painting turned out beautifully unique, and our niece totally felt like it was her masterpiece! The paint colors worked well together, and there was even glow-in-the-dark glitter that our niece got to add to the painting. When our niece went off to wash her hands, Linda magically pulled out her black light so that when our niece came back, she could turn off the lights and see her showpiece glow.No doubt at all that we will return to Hawaii Fluid Art for another chance to create something unique. Thank you Linda!"
"Talented , energetic, and innovative young couple who are extremely passionate about theater. I have had the pleasure of watching Brenna and Justice perform for years. Dedicated to their clients and to the theater. I am looking forward to their production of Anne of Greene Gables. Family friendly fun for all ages. If you have a passion for acting or for theater check out Storyteller Theater."
"This place is AWESOME. I am by no means an artist, but somehow my paintings don't turn out half bad in these classes. The instructors are super nice and helpful, along with the assistants walking around the whole time. I tried Wine and Palette for the first time probably about a year ago and have probably done five to 10 classes since then. I'm running out of room to hang my paintings! haha There is almost always a Groupon available to save about $15 on the class price too, which makes it more than worth it.I will say at some of the restaurants I've had not-so-stellar service, but I don't count that as Wine and Palette's fault. Whether at a restaurant or the studio in Midtown, it's a blast and I definitely recommend it for a girl's night out, birthday party or just something fun to do!"
"We had a blast here and learned some really great techniques on pouring. I can't wait to go back and do the resin class! They are very helpful and make learning the process easy! Great price for all you get out of it! Several sizes of canvases and boards to choose from."
"Went here on a whim with my 3 girls after seeing some FB posts. We went in on a Saturday and we didn't want to leave come 5 pm! We had so many options to choose from as far as art goes & we were overwhelmed at first. But, Beth the owner was very welcoming, patient and very knowledgeable on her craft. There is an open friendly atmosphere and very kid friendly for my youngest, who is autistic. She enjoyed the indoor playground and much more. My older girls are already asking to go back!!"
"This is an interesting store in front, with many items from estate sales and artists, including adorable clothes. But the major thrust of this collective is a stained glass studio in the backThey offer classes in stained glass. There were several artisans working on their stained glass projects and it was a pleasure to watch."
"Wide selection of local professional artists in a 100 year old Spanish style landmark. Um yeah!"
"Looking for fun with friends or family? An afternoon or evening date? This is your spot! Lucky for me, you don't need to be an artist! I went with friends and selected our time based on the painting. We did a huge sunflower! Everyone's was different. And beautiful! There are beverages and snacks available if you like. Check the t out!"
"I love this store! I'm a new quilter and took an intro class here. Toni, the instructor was very knowledgeable and willing to take her time and walk me through the process. Their fabrics are first rate. Definitely fabrics for creating hand me down pieces. I recommend to every new quilter I see."

Paper Arts is a very nice scrapbooking store in Edmond, OK. The owner is SUPER talented. If I lived there, I would definitely take classes from her. She has some of the most unique ideas I've ever seen such as making gothic houses from scrapbooking supplies! Awesome! The store itself offers a nice variety of scrapbooking supplies, as well as classes. You'll find everything you need here including paper, adhesives, storage, dies, embossing folders, paints, and more. The owners are extremely helpful. Ask a question and they will answer. If they don't know, they will find out. I'm a fan and will stop in every time I am in Edmond!

A really nice space with lots of natural lighting. If you are in the back, you have an easy time watching the artist instruct. But if I would have been able to, I would have been more toward the window at the front. But by the time I got there, the front places were all taken up. I don't know if you need to get there early or if you can call and reserve your area, but that would be my preference because I don't like artificial light. It is expensive, but a fun thing to do every once in a while. It is a 3-hour sort of event, so just keep that in mind. I would have liked the music to be a little louder. When I went to Pinot's Palette in Bricktown, it was more of a club/party atmosphere because of the music, I liked that a lot.

Wonderful! This cute little studio had an amazing assortment of supplies. The 1:1 instruction by the owner made it a special experience. He wasn't afraid to give me pointers or grab extra glitter! Loved it!!!!!

I was very glad to see that there were businesses open passed 5 o'clock and were not just opened on First Fridays. This is a super cute and eclectic and funky store. Lots of stained glass (made on site) and so many pieces of art that I would have loved to have in our home.

The exterior is unassuming, I almost didn't stop in Gallery showcasing several local artists using a variety of mediums From what I gather, there's always at least one artist present when it's open.

"My friends and I had a great time painting, learning some painting techniques and listening to music. Their current location is rented space from a church. The set up for the studio and the entire building were clean and inviting. They offer multiple painting and crafts classes for adults and children. Check out their schedule and make your way out to Bethany to check it out for yourself!"
"On every road trip I pick a local yarn shop to visit and was excited to find this new store near my parents new house. Lovely little shop, well setup, with a fabulous color range of hand dyed yarn. Unusually, has a collection of cord for macrame or crochet. Owner was friendly and helpful, we had a fun chat about all things fiber. Recommended!"
"This place has wowed me already and I'm only 1 week into a 4 week class! Rick the instructor is super kind and has a brilliant personality. Lol. He makes learning how to use pottery fun and engaging. I can't wait to get through my beginners class and move on to the next one!"
"I cannot say enough positive things to document my experience with this shop. We he a very bad experience with another repair shop but I am so thankful we made it here. The owner is local and onsite. Big plus. Every single employee was beyond helpful. They repaired my wife's machine while I waited! This was after it being held hostage elsewhere for months! There amazing warranty and free lessons are just icing on the cake!!!!"
"My 6.5 year old grandson just finished the Glassworks summer camp. It was an amazing experience! He was excited to go every day and his creations were so lovely and impressive. He put on an art show for family after the last day. He was thrilled to share his work and talk about all he learned and got to do."
"Loved Hideout Art! My cousin and I scheduled a two hour session and we not only had a blast but I walked away with an awesome painting. The owner/artist, Lisa, was so fun and helpful and assisted us in creating unique art tailored to our individual preferences. She showed us how to do several techniques and was super nice and accommodating. I highly recommend Hideout Art for making your own art and a great experience. I will definitely be back again."
"I had a really great date night at Painting with a Twist. My boyfriend took me after a rough week, and it really brought my spirits back up. The teacher was very up beat and easy to understand. She used a microphone. The assistant was very helpful and refilled paint and drinks as needed. They have wine and beer at the bar in the back. The teacher warned us that after a few drinks, some people accidentally drink their paint water instead of their beer or dip their paintbrush on their drink instead of the water. Apparently it happens enough that they have a face-in-the-hole type cut out for people that make that mistake. They also have other cute cut outs for photo ops. They took photos during the painting and also afterwards, which I thought was very nice. They do give always on Facebook if you follow their page. The options for paintings were very plentiful and diverse, so you can pick a class that is more girly or nerdy or religious depending on your tastes."
"This is the only needlepoint store in the Oklahoma City /metro area. I was absolutely excited to see a mixed breed dog occupying a chair as I entered. So cute.Thug have so many types of thread and needlecraft items. They sell Kanthas, which are handmade by women in India from vintage sari fabric. They were $35 each or 3 for $90."
"Beautiful store with tons of creativity-inspiring goodies. Every time I visit, I find something new that I simply must have! Their primary focus is stamping and mixed media crafting. They offer a monthly demo day where you can try a new product or technique and they frequently have well-known instructors come in for multi-day classes. They only downside is they don't have a sign on the facade of the shopping center, so it's difficult to find. Get yourself a cupcake at Buttersweet, then head south to My Heart's Fancy."
"The vibes were absolutely perfect. This is perfect for birthday parties or just a fun activity. It was relaxing painting. This place basically offers everything, no need to bring anything. There were so many pottery pieces to choose from, wide variety of themes. The prices was very affordable. The owner was very friendly and helpful."
"Super excited for this painting activity. The location is in a busy artsy neighborhood. So the parking is a problem. I suggest arriving early to get a spot. I was running alittle behind but was able to secure a unpaid spot around the corner. Walking up to the entrance was alittle dicey as I didn't know which door to open or which direction to go upon entering. Once inside, I was greeted quickly and offered a mimosa. The actual painting area was pretty small and finding a seat for (3) alittle tricky.. again arrive early for seating. My party of three kinda watched what others were doing and followed suit as far as getting apron, paint and setting up brushes. Once the facilitator arrived she was bubbly and patient helping everyone get started. I can't say I'm the best painter but the atmosphere was lively and fun. It was a good time with the girls and I look forward to going back with hubby!"
"A once top-notch gallery in North Oklahoma city has slipped from its previous high-ranking due to the shops at Northpark recently getting less traffic than it used to. Most of the art is still of the same superior quality, featuring artists like Rory Morgan, David Padgett, Jerry Piper, and Andrea Davis. But amateur learners are dragging down the overall look. Hopefully, the mall will rebound at some time in the future and bring this once great gallery back to the spotlight where it deserves to be."
"This is an art gallery / showing and collective. They do a monthly showing of different types of art. Right now they have a small art showing going on. To show in this particular show the art must be less than 15 inches and less than $199. There were actually several pieces I'd love to buy.The people were friendly and more than happy to share their scope. They have several juries shows and help with the art scene in OKC."
"My group and I had fun here! We were together for the holidays and wanted to do a craft together. We were greeted kindly by the worker (I wish I remembered her name!) and she showed us all the ceramics that were available to paint. My friends were interested in painting birthday plates for their kiddos, as they were inspired by my mom who had a birthday plate. We picked our items and were seated at a table. You pick your paint and supplies and get started! We had a nice time chatting and received advice and help from the staff. There was an example of a plate I liked and the staffer helped me with technique on how to accomplish the look. I received an email letting me know my pieces were ready for pickup within a week of our visit, and they looked so good! Thanks for having us and for the fun time."
"I can't believe I've never reviewed Untitled. Their exhibits focus on contemporary art from national and international artists. For local artists and patrons, Untitled is one of the main centers for outreach in our city. Untitled is home to the Press at Untitled, the city's premiere print making studio. They offer classes in printmaking for beginners up to experts. Check their website for a calendar of classes. I've been coming to shows and special events here for ten years. It is absolutely one of my favorite locations in Oklahoma City. The building has been beautifully restored, preserving many of the historic aspects, while bringing it up to code and expectations for the events hosted here, from low-key artists receptions to very upscale events hosted by (and for) some of the city's top VIPs. If you haven't been here, it's time!"
"My husband and I took Taylor's date night ring making class for my birthday and it was a wonderful experience! You can tell she is passionate and knowledgeable about her craft. As a beginner friendly class, she was very patient and encouraged us to ask questions through the process. I would recommend to anyone who is interested in trying out metal working!"
