Taking my daughter & grandsons on the Bricktown Canal Ride. An absolutely gorgeous Friday afternoon, Crisp 50° weather & clear blue skies! Our taxi driver Heather was funny and made the 40+ min ride great fun. Last time I took this ride was probably 15 yrs ago. Even better this time around!

Having my friend from the UK stayed with us for over a week it was the perfect opportunity for me to play tourist with her and I'm glad we were both keen on riding the water taxi. We reserved our seats online the day before and it turned out that there were just 4 people in total during our journey. The trip before ours were full of people so it felt really nice. The tour's frequency was every 30 minutes and each lasts around 40 minutes. The ride was fun and informative, made enjoyable by the lady boat driver whom I cannot recall her name. I learned a little more about this new city that is now my home for the past 3 years. The boat also passed the Centennial Land Run Monument which happens to be on my checklist of places to visit so that was very cool. It was recommended that I should still tour it on foot as there are many details that aren't visible from the boat.I'm planning on dragging the husband to experience this water taxi ride, he has lived in OKC most of his life and he still hasn't been!

After my family and I ate at Brickopolis, we decided to book tickets for the Bricktown Water Taxi at 3:00 P.M. The Bricktown Water Taxi had tours every hour, a week before the holidays. It was a cold day, but the tour was totally worth it!The Bricktown Water Taxi is in the heart of Bricktown, downtown Oklahoma City. Bricktown is known for its historic entertainment district, which was recently revitalized. The water taxi ride allows you to immerse yourself in the distinctive and scenic experience! I learned a lot about Oklahoma City, how the city started, and the background of Bricktown through the Water Taxi Tour. The Bricktown Water Taxi Tour is based on the same water taxi in San Antonio, Texas, Riverwalk. I've been on the Riverwalk before, and the boat is the exact same model! Pretty cool!During the tour, you'll learn about the history of Bricktown, as well as point out notable landmarks and provide insights into the city's development. You'll get to admire the beautiful architecture, public art installations such as some of the wall art designed by local artists, and the lively atmosphere of the district. Come to find out during the tour that Brickopolis is one of the newest structures, and when it was designed, the architects designed it to mimic other building structures in Bricktown! Another fascinating find on the tour was the Buffet at Vast during lunch hours! We didn't realize Oklahoma City had such a famous restaurant at the Devon Energy Building! The restaurant overlooks on the 49th floor, the entire Oklahoma City. The water taxi was approximately a 45-minute ride. It was so peaceful and relaxing; however, it was cold out! I'm glad we bundled up in hats, jackets, and gloves before going on this tour! I can imagine that this tour must be wonderful during the spring and summer evening! We had such a wonderful tour guide too! She knew a lot about Bricktown history and made it a lot more enjoyable with some jokes! It's a family-friendly adventure, and I highly recommend it if you're looking to get a great perspective on the city's history. This is a must-visit attraction if you're a local or visiting Oklahoma City.

As a native Okie I was not sure how interesting this would be, but I was very happily surprised. This was fun, relaxing, and interesting. I knew some of the info the guide shares but not all. I loved all the murals and statues. I would suggest this for everyone.

Heather was our tour guide that day and she was really nice and really funny. The information was interesting for us tourist and okie natives who like to know more on the origins of the state. It was really easy to buy tickets at the window box but I would suggest to give yourself plenty of time to find parking as it is very limited. The ride was about an hour long but Heather did mention the boat was going slower than usual so it might be less time for others. It was nice to sit and catch a break from the heat on the boat. So many places to go eat before or after.Definitely recommend coming for the experience.
