Brickell Apartments

Always loosing documents. I had to give them my ESA documents 3 times and they still managed to lose all of them. Always turning off water during the day so you can't do your every day things like shower, dishes, brush teeth, etc. None of the washers work. Never can get a hold of the emergency maintenance. I had ant problems all in the apartment and called the office multiple times and the problem was never fixed. The place is trashed no one ever picks up their dog waste. People steal your packages. I had an issue with someone blasting their music outside my apartment and I had asked them to turn it down and they started threatening my fiancé and I. I went to the office to tell them what was going on and they said it wasn't their problem and that they couldn't do anything about it. I think I would rather be homeless than live here.

Well now they think I owe them more money an charged my credit. Idk what the hell is actually wrong with these people but if they really think they are you going to take another cent from me I would gladly sue them for the horrible living conditions an absolutely neglectful staff.

DO NOT live here. I've been here for a good 3 months. It may be cheap, but there's a reason. Management is horrible, maintenance is horrible, and like one of the other reviews said, I had a leak through my A/C unit, which by the way, is installed in the wall in my closet.. they came in and "fixed it" by duct taping around it. We've had unlimited mice and attempted to get rid of them by killing 7, and they still show up. Also, if you're looking for a good internet connection, don't rely on here. The only provider allowed in this complex is Cox due to their contract and I have had the worst issues with it too. This place is horrible. -5 stars.

i havent even been able to take a shit in my own apartment for over a week and took over a week to get a key to my own apartment key and the laundry room is disgusting not to mention the kids outside screaming as loud as they can for no reason. do not move here.

If you move here I hope you like dirty clothes because all the laundry mats in this location are broken down and been broken down for 6 months!Asked why isn't it fixed they said "had other priorities".

I personally don't believe these apartments deserve a one star rating either. The apartment is completely disgusting and ALWAYS has homeless people loitering there. These apartment living conditions are horrible and unsuitable. On multiple occasions when taking my dog out there were times I had to avoid areas I was walking in due to BROKEN CRACK PIPES. Maintenance definitely only comes when they feel like it. Back around April I had made a work order for my air conditioner to be fixed and they didn't show up until 2 weeks later. They then told me I just need to turn the nob down and I did to which DID NOT WORK. I was paying 300-400 a month in electricity because I constantly had to have fans running to stay cool-ish. Again the fans barely helped as I was sweating everyday in the apartments. On top of sweating everyday I was constantly sick and had e-mailed them about someone checking for mold IN APRIL and nothing was done. I had called the office 3 months later and Joey told me to " make a work order " when I had already complained about it 3 months prior to calling them. The office staff is rude as fuck and hangs up on people when they are talking , and constantly interrupting people. Never had I ever had issues with Andrea , but Joey has been rude as hell anytime I called up there. In attempt to reach out to HR in regard to the unsuitable living conditions I still have not heard from them. I then contacted Nova Property network to speak w the property owners and could not get ahold of them. They say every single month this summer that the pools were open which THEY HAVE NOT OPENED THE POOL. The pool is damn near empty with green water at the bottom. If you want to be around shootings be my guest and stay here because this apartment complex is completely unsafe and families should not be living there. The staff and the apartment complex entirely sucks , I DO NOT RECOMMEND LIVING HERE.

The one star is because I can't leave anything else. I've lived here for over a year and the apartment itself was disgusting upon arrival, I had to deep clean everything myself before moving in, the apartment looked nothing like the pictures, dead mice outside on the ground. They charge ridiculous fees for minor things, they act as if this a luxury living apartment when it's really the slums. I've been without hot water for two weeks at one point, then it just kept breaking. I went without heat for a week and it also kept breaking during the coldest days. I put in maintenance requests and they come by when they feel like it. I can't even use my linen cabinet because the heater or whatever it is, leaks and it's causing the wood to rot. The lights on the outside of the building don't work at night . They lied when they said they don't have an infestation of roaches! They lied when they said they were gonna get the two pools up and running TWO SUMMERS in a row. The staff takes off and leaves all the time and they don't pick up the emergency lines. They lied and said they had 24 hour security. There's random sketchy people always hanging around outside especially at night. Homeless people camp out in the laundry room and under the bus bench by the service road. They also camp out under the stairs as well. If I could do it all over again. I would've ran far away from this ghetto ass apartment. You pay for what you get.

My experience with this apartment complex was horrible. Even 1 star is undeserved. When I moved in, the apartment was not clean at all and there were dozens of cockroaches. The office was totally unsympathetic, saying "there will be cockroaches anywhere you live." I have lived in apartments and dorms for the past 5 years and have had little to no cockroaches. It is not as if I expect there to be no bugs, but this was an infestation. I have killed and trapped hundreds of roaches in the 2 months I have been here. It looked as if there was not any pest control done in the entire apartment, and the complex did nothing to remedy the situation, so I had to spray for pests myself. The entire time I have lived here, the complex has smelled like poop. There have been sewage line breakages multiple times, and sewage eventually backed up into my apartment because the system is so bad. That, on top of the roaches, makes this complex wholly unsafe to live at. In my final phone call with the office, they hung up on me at the end. Living here has been a nightmare, with the management's behavior bordering on predatory.Other complaints:My move-in date was postponed less than a week before move-in, so I had to find a place to stay in the meantime and take time off at work for a new move-in date. The second bedroom did not even have a door. All the windows are leaky, so any people having conversations outside sound as if they are in the apartment. Heating in the winter must be very expensive. I was told that the air conditioner was controlled by a random switch in the hallway, so I had to call maintenance to find out how to turn it on. The outlets suck because they were painted over. There was paint all over the floors. The lease states that you will be charged at move-out if there are burned out lightbulbs, yet half of them were burned out when I moved in.

Zero stars if I could. Management is Awful. They loose your packages, they charge you new fees every time your rents due, and something was alway breaking, leaking or not working in my apartment. Maintenance always half ass fixed it or didn't fix it at all and just said they did. For example, my refrigerator was leaking my whole stay there and I called about it twice the maintenance guy came and turned down the temperature On the refrigerator and freezer and told me it was fixed. (I wasn't home at the time but watch him from my cameras in my apartment ) and when I came home my freezer foods were unthawed and the refrigerator was still leaking. The price is low for a reason. Save your money and your state of mind!

I've bit my tongue for a while because I understand things happen but the last two years here have been the worst living experience ever. It started with mice, then uncontrollable gnats, a stench that never went away, our air conditioner is a window unit duct taped to cardboard routed throughout the house, I've had maggots in my toothbrush (twice), our dishwasher leaks randomly and as if this wasn't enough already, I found what appeared to be black mold under my bed caused by a foundation leak. They told me it was just mildew which seemed like a sorry excuse to take their time with fixing the issue. I've been without my apartment for the past 4 days and after calling for an update earlier today, I'm struggling not to take them to court. After I explained I'm putting stress on someone else by staying in their home, the woman got hateful trying to explain that she has not "received an answer" about when it will be fixed. It's been 4 days and they've shown NO sign of urgency to provide a safe living space for their tenant. Do not live here.
