Brandin Iron Cafe

Dropped in this place for dinner.. very friendly place with great comfort food... we had hamburger steak with mash potatoes and gravy and salad .. yummo!

My first trip through Colgate and it was nice to find the local greasy spoon. This is one of those local owned made from scratch kinda restaurant. They offer a lunch buffet, but I opted for the bacon cheeseburger and curly q's. My burger was cooked perfect and the curly q's backed it up nicely. If I find myself in the Colgate area I would stop in and go for the breakfast menu (it's served all day).

I had the chicken fried steak and it was delicious. It is hand breaded and not from frozen. The gravy is homemade as well. Reminded me of my mom's chicken fried steak. Great diner in a small town!

Stopped here with the family while seeing where my grandmother grew up. I got the taco patter and it was pretty good. The hard shells were a little overdone, but it wasn't a deal breaker. Service was good. She was very patient with all 8 of us. I love the decor, western rustic look. I would recommend this place.

I ordered a club sandwich. The bread was burned (black) and cold because the waitress waited too long to bring it to the table even though there were only 2 other customers and she was standing at the counter. I then had to get up to ask her for a napkin because she never came back to check on me. I don't recommend the service or food but the prices are low and the restaurant is clean.

Branding Iron is my wife and I'm favorite restaurant to eat anywhere. There meals are consistently good and I highly recommend their chicken dinner and or bacon cheeseburgers with curly fries!

Was traveling through southeast Oklahoma on business. I used the Yelp app to find a good place to eat I found a place in Coalgate, OK the Brandin Iron Cafe and it looked like a good local place to eat lunch. But when I got there the sign outside said Marcy's Place so I started to go someplace different but decided to go ahead and give it a try I and I'm so glad I did it was just what I was hoping to find, home made great food. The service was outstanding and the restaurant was very clean I was going to try the chicken fried steak but when asking the waitress about the onion rings she said they were hand breaded so I went with the hamburger and onion rings they were a great choice. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good made from scratch home cooked meal.

Exactly what I was looking for as I passed through Coalgate, OK. Great made-from-scratch food. Pleasant service and we'll-priced. If you want a greasy spoon with some home cooking options, this is your place.
