Boxcar Bakery and Ice Cream

So many ice cream and sorbet choices! Staff is cheerful and friendly. Baked goods are delicious. Shop is cute and clean. Can't wait to visit again to try a soup and sandwich.

What a gem in Guthrie! We tried it for the first time today, and the ice cream was next level. They buy it from a small shop out of Sand Springs. So good! I loved the Cookie Butter Cookie Dough, and the Cookies & Cream was probably the best I've ever had. The staff is super nice, and the owner was a joy to chat with. You have to check this place out!-- Update -- We loved this place so much we came back like 3 hours later for dinner. I had the Italian and my wife had the Club. Both were served on their homemade rosemary garlic bread. Outstanding! Also, we shared a bowl of their weekly special "Marry Me" soup, which was awesome. Finally, we each got a piece of baklava, which was the perfect ending to the meal. Cannot say enough good things about this place!

We were there about 3 times when we were in Guthrie last summer for the Little Britches Rodeo. They have the best ice cream that I have ever eaten. I wish we had one like it in my town. Will definitely be going back there next summer. Linda H

They catered our daughters wedding and did an excellent job! 500 mini desserts and a small cake just for the bride and groom. Vanilla petit fours were my favorite!

We originally stopped at Boxcar for an ice cream date, and loved it so much we had to go back for a soup and sandwich dinner. The ice cream was out of this world, and they give you generous portions. I've never had better cookies and cream ice cream. Soup and sandwich were also great, especially the rosemary garlic bread. It's a cute little cafe and fun to sit at a little window table and watch the small town happenings. I can not say enough nice things about the staff. The service was exceptional. The ladies are so sweet and encouraged us to try every flavor of ice cream we had even the slightest interest in. I cannot wait to go back!!
