Bob's Fish and Seafood - Oklahoma City

I've been to the location on Kelly many years ago, it's a staple (Bob's) in the community. I remember there was one lady always working there when I was younger (always). I can't remember a time I visited and she wasn't working, I don't remember her name, but she was very kind and direct. The new location on 23rd has a eat in side and also a pick up side for to go and purchasing fresh fish. I ended up on the restaurant side and they processed my order! The food didn't take too long it was hot and ready. I had missed the lunch special and ordered catfish, fries and hush puppies, I should have gotten Cole slaw to break up all that fried food. The food was good so no complaints. My intention is to come back with hubby and sit down to enjoy a meal!

Catfish fillets came hot and fresh, with a nice, crispy, seasoned fish fry breading...But inside the actual catfish had no flavor, so all you taste is the fried crust. I was craving more catfish flavor. Box of six also came with a few slices of plain white bread for $15. I also had their potato wedges, which were cut long and thick with a similar tasty breading...But wedges aren't being cooked long enough, lacking crispiness and inside is like a baked potato. Next time I'll ask if I can have them cooked longer. We finished with pecan pie which had good classic filling, but the crust was off, not at all browned, it tasted like straight flour.They offered condiments ketchup and tartar sauce, in packets. Tartar sauce was not good. I was not offered lemon wedges nor hot sauce, guess I had to ask for those. I just gotta be bluntly honest, this place looks rough from the outside...Building aging, sign faded, parking lot dirty and crumbling into giant pot holes. Inside is better but it's take out only with no seating. We called ahead as the locals recommend doing and they quoted us 15 minutes, but we waited twice that long. Take a beeper after paying and they buzz you when food is ready. Most customers just eat right in their vehicles. There is also a fresh fish market side. Menus are small, and everything is priced very fair.Overall I'm on the fence between giving a 3 or 4. Since everything had an issue with it, even their catfish..So I'll definitely have to return and try one of their other fish options, possibly the fried shrimp.

Staple in the community, great food. The service is good, the ambiance is your standard local restaurant. Definitely worth the visit. Go!

Best catfish I ever had and I'm really picky about catfish as I'ts not really my favorite meal but, I loved it! The catfish connection was great too, but it went out of business! this place survived the pandemic, so I know it's gotta be great! The only bummer is everything is to go.

We love it! Shrimps bring back my old memories with my mom's homemade shrimp. Great for comfort seafoods! Totally will come again.

This is a small place to get it to go, Place an order on line, or walk in, Great fish, good variety and low prices. We have been coming here for years, Good seasoned fish and good tasting fish. They also have shrimp and Pork Chops, Most meals come with potato wedges. The outside of the building looks kind of sketch, but you are not eating the bricks now are you?

Hands down some of the BEST catfish I have ever had!!! The seasoning is perfect- not too salty - cooked to perfection- not mushy at all - nice crispiness to the fish - just SO good. I could have eaten the whole box we bought for the family - I had to force myself to stop eating... The okra was excellent as well - most places don't cook it long enough and I cannot stand slimy fried okra - no worries - they know what they're doing:) Hubby did not like the fried corn on the cob but it is my MIL's favorite so just a personal preference. Coleslaw is ok, I prefer okra so really could just go with okra & fish LOL

4 pieces of fried catfish turns out to be 8 pieces! It's as good as any fried catfish in OKC, and I've tried most in the metro!

Best fish that I ever had and good customer service i'm happy that it moved out and it was City. Give me City residence a chance to taste great fish.
