Pro: moderate size parking lot, running trails, biking trails, big field, dog friendly, playground.Con: no lights at nightA nice park that offers walking trails, bike trails, playgrounds, a big field to play with your dogs, and more. It has a moderate size parking lot in the front and a side parking lot where the playgrounds are. On the front gate they have trash can and doggy station that offer bags to pick up after your pets. All in all, a nice park to stop by and enjoy in your free time.

Entering the park is super easy, and access is found on Meridian from either 122nd or hefner rd. The entrance is grand and has some cool stone with a wood plank banner engraved with Bluff Creek. Once you enter you'll find the road will lead you south or north; both into parking lotsIn the southern lot you'll find a playground with some soft cork-like ground and some typical playground equipment(swings, slide, fort) and some musical things. There are pathways all over that will lead you to the trails for the park or to the large trail that spans between overholser, lake hefner, and the oklagoma riverThe northern lot is kind of two lots and the northern most lot will take you to the park's trailhead detailed with a legend showing the specifics of the area. It says the walking trail is 1 mile, but I think it's longerThere are a bunch of parking spaces but on beautiful days the parking will be entirely occupied and people park along the curb around the area and on MeridianThere are several gazebos and shade structures around the parking lot areas and water fountains. At the base of some of the fountains there are little bowls for pets. The gazebos can be rented out and the contact info is on a sign thereOn the walking trail there are a few exercise stations with some benches and bars for body weight exercisesLook out for deer around the cooler months

Park playground a 5 star. Also the scenery and layout a 5 star.Short 15 min drive from the house.A lot of space here to move around. I was disappointed with the kids leaving trash behind. Where are the parents to correct this behavior!? The scenery with the lake dam in the background and the airplanes flying over... Very cool. There was quite a few people out on the day we went. I was sad to see Porta potties there vs a permanent bathroom.... But I guess that's how it goes in parks these days? Porta pottie didn't have sanitizer in it .... UnfortunateWill try to get out here again sometime... already have two toddlers requesting to return.Respectfully,BryanYukon, Oklahoma

Too many dogs. Watch out for the poop. Also don't wear new shoes it's always muddy on the trails.

What a beautiful place to take a walk after work. This park is filled with wild life, trees, plants and water. Whether you want to walk, run or bicycle this park can accommodate you. The air is fresh and the trees provide some relief from the heat. Today i was even able to see a couple of deer grazing near the small creek. Try this place when you want to get away and go see some nature without traveling so far. You wont be sorry.

I love this area of OKC and Bluff Creek Park is a gem. In the evenings when the sun is setting, you'll see some of the best Oklahoma sunsets while deer are out grazing the land. The park tends to get pretty crowded on nice days. Kids just love it and I've seen a lot of birthday parties thrown here, too. Then, there are the trails and the fact that it is so conveniently located near Lake Hefner. I absolutely love this part of town. People are out and about riding their bikes, going on walks or jogs, and it's just a nice place to take in Mother Nature.

Very nice park with a lot of grassy green space, a modern playground, pavilions for picnicking, looping paths for walking/jogging/running and mountain biking trails. It looks especially nice here in summer when the garden, grasses and forested areas are greened up. My complaints are that the paths and trails could easily be extended, and the pond area is being poorly utilized. Why not make some hike/bike in day camping spots? Place some picnic tables in clearings amongst the trees with bbqs or even fire pits. OKC lacks areas like that, and this park could easily be expanded to something more of a catch-all, like the 'great parks' in Southern California.

Visiting a community park while on vacation isn't a privilege, but a necessity. Somehow the open spaces and nature outside the urban jungle helps rejuvenates our spirits and soul.Bluff Creek Park is one such community parks here in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. My visit here was brief, about 2 hours on a Friday afternoon and roughly 12 hours on Saturday in October 2019. I often love to be surrounded by nature and love to be outdoors as often as I can while on vacation. With that said, Bluff Creek Park is a large park that has a bunch of off road trails and a centralized paved bike path. I was privileged to have run on the paved bike path numerous times as part of a running event held in mid October 2019. The park itself is beautiful and is home to deer and other assorted creatures. For myself though, I ended up spotting a lot of deer in the bushes at certain times of the day during my stay, as well as small green snakes that slither around the park, going anywhere it wants. The paved bike trail is about 1.7 miles in length and encompasses majority of the main areas of the park. It was nice to see the public use the paved bike trail while we were having a race at the same time. The scenery was nice and blissful on a casual mid October Saturday. Makes me wish I could relocate here for half the year. The overall experience here at Bluff Creek Park in Oklahoma City, OK was very nice, therapeutic, and definitely well needed. It was a place where I could run and have fun at the same time. I did enjoy the looped bike trail and I can tell it was well groomed. I bet that the maintenance is kept up by the good folks of the parks department of the city of Oklahoma City. There are places where you can dispose of your trash and there are pavillion areas where you can sit down and have lunch or dinner in the park. Bluff Creek Park is great for individuals, families with small children, and people with pets. Just about everyone can come here and enjoy this park, whether it be for pure enjoyment of the outdoors, exercise, or being able to get out of the urban jungle and be one with nature. Bluff Creek Park has something for everyone. For me, it was a timed running event in mid October 2019. While the leaves on the trees hasn't turned brown or orange just yet, it was nice to see the trees. It was nice to be out in open spaces and away from cars. If you are in the area, consider stopping by the Bluff Creek Park in Oklahoma City to rejuvenate your soul and be one with nature. Train for your next race here, if you'd like too. I enjoyed myself here while running a marathon. It was multiple loops on the paved bike trail. It was fun actually. Bluff Creek Park is located on N Meridian Avenue in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Since it is a public community park, it is free to access and there is no admission charged. Yay! That's awesome! They have a generous space for parking, so that's usually not a problem. I probably counted about maybe 100 parking slots. Best bet would be to have your own private vehicle or a rental to get here. If not, uber and lyft is always there at your service. Not sure about the public transportation here in Oklahoma City, but try your best to get here. There are benches throughout the park to help those who need to sit down and relax. Those benches looked comfortable when you're doing a timed foot race, but I had to tell myself no, I can't sit there all day! Haha. But seriously, come and enjoy Bluff Creek Park. It's in a nice serene area that's close to Lake Hefner. Come with friends for a walk and it's a nice experience. As for me, the scenery helped me push through my mental fatigue and I completed the marathon distance here. It was a win that day for me, personally and spiritually. Definitely recommend coming here if you are in the area or just passing through. Well worth it!5.0 stars for the overall experience.Support local!A

This place is so nice for pictures! We originally were going to go to Martin Nature Park, but they don't allow dogs. The entrance into the park is not the best, but once you go into the trails and trees, it makes for some awesome scenery. It also was not crowded at all; there were only a handful of people going through the trails. See the potential in the photos we took of this family and their great dogs!
