Billy Ray's Catfish & BBQ - Broken Arrow

Small BBQ restaurant in Tulsa and Broken Arrow. If you are a discounted shopper like myself, you are going to love this restaurant. The Broken Arrow location offers me a total of 14% discount through my Chase Freedom Flex (love this credit card) and Upside. Billy Ray's Catfish & BBQ does not have the best ribs or BBQ. Ribs were less tender and meats were sticking to some part of bones. Fried catfish filets were on the smaller side. Baked beans and green tomato relish sides were good. If you're able to get good discounts, I would recommend to check it out. Without discounts, I feel like there are better restaurants out there with better catfish and BBQ for the same cost. Super friendly service as well.

For years we have came to the Broken Arrow location and loved it felt it was worth every penny! We knew the owners its been mabye 6 months and now all the portions are very small and the cost is more we never got ask if we wanted refills on our drinks we are so sad that it was went to Hell now with this next generation running the place we won't be back

Came in and all the tables were full. A girl holding menus talked to me, showed me where to wait, and went behind the counter. Six more parties came in and all were seated before us and all but one party were 2 people just like us. A new couple came and and were immediately seated. When I asked, the woman with black hair told me I didn't put my name down and all the people came before me. When I told her about the girl who greeted me I was told, "that girl doesn't work here." I asked why she had menus and was behind the counter? The answer, "that what she does." She went on rudely dismissing me and arguing. The whole place was also filled with smoke. My wife and I used to come in several times a month. The service has never been great but tolerable. Not now. My wife and I were offended.

The third word in the name of the store is "Catfish." Billy Ray's Catfish and BBQ Co. There was a sign in the store announcing that the restaurant has been open for 40 years. This is painful to admit, but I remember when they opened on Southwest Blvd. Back then, when I was living in Tulsa, it was my "go-to," for "Barbeque." Now, the restaurant in BA is going to be my go-to, for whisker fish. It is close by, the restaurant is cozy, the service is fantastic and most of all the catfish is served up hot fresh and crispy. Excellent side dishes. Dessert, Oh Yeah! Take a peek at the picture of the deep-dish peach cobbler and pecan pie. They were dishing up servings in preparation for the evening dinner crowd. Imagine one of those bowls with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! Billy Ray's Catfish and BBQ Co. in BA is a cozy, comfortable restaurant. As any good BBQ joint should have, inside there is a noticeable hint of hickory smoke perfume in the air. It is staffed with friendly attentive folks.

Smoked Chicken, Good.Pulled Pork, Good. Catfish, Good. Taste clean, not slimy like Fish Daddy's.Mac and cheese, Good. Not just a box of Kraft Mac N Cheese.Bologna, Good. Doesn't feel like it has teeth and bones in it.Sliced Brisket, Good. Wife loved it, I don't like brisket.BBQ Sauce, Good. Bought a bottle.Tabouli, Good. Bought a pint. Or quart?Wife and I loved everything we got.Drove past it for years, now it's in the rotation!

Omg. We came here and was NOT disappointed! I got the biggest baked potato with chopped brisket that I've EVER seen in my life!! It was super delicious too! We had never been there so they were gracious and let us try the catfish and it was delicious! It's not traditional batter. It's like a cornmeal. So it's not heavy or overpowering! Pretty small inside but super cute decor. We got there right at 11 on a Tuesday and there was a lot of open places for a group of 4 to choose from bathrooms were clean and stocked. We passed it by accident but look for the red paint! We will be back next time we are in town!!

Delicious. Got the brisket sandwich and fried okra. Went with a group of 8 which was challenging but the waitress was helpful in getting us a couple of tables together.

Local spot w/ good BBQ!When visiting Broken Arrow, my husband and I stopped in at Billy Ray's for some good eats and we definitely found some here!The staff was super friendly as we walked in to seat ourselves at one of the tables. It's a small spot with a country feel. We got our orders in fairly quickly and the food came out even quicker.We got a spread of chicken tenders, mac & cheese, fried okra, fries, and a chopped brisket sandwich - everything was great, especially the tenders, brisket, & mac & cheese! Glad we stopped in!

We absolutely enjoy our eats here. Today we stopped in from a camping trip. Every time I order, I double the tabouleh with my meals (every visit). To me, the sliced brisket is pretty good. My husband ordered the smoked turkey plate. The ribs are good. We have had nothing but great food and service at the Broken Arrow location. I recommend trying their iced tea!! If you don't finish your plate, take it home. It it later!! For more menu options before your visit, search them online to see what they have. Billy Ray's was mentioned to us from friends.
