Bad Boys BBQ is a tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant located right beside the 7-11 on Rockwell and Britton. I wouldn't let the location or interior throw you off because this place has tasty BBQ at a fair price and is worth checking out. While I wouldn't recommend stopping by with a large group (there are a total of 6 seats inside with separate tables) I would recommend making a sandwich combo to-go order to see if it's to your liking. Service is quick and friendly, the meats were smoked nicely (though, my sliced Brisket was a little bit tough near the end), and the sides that I tried (baked beans and fried okra) were both very good. I remember seeing a sign outside that said Tuesdays and Wednesdays are $5 sandwich combo days. $5 for one of their sandwich combos is an absolute steal and should be reason enough to drop by if you're in the area.Bad Boys has two types of BBQ sauce: Original and Hot. The Original has more of a cider vinegar-y taste to it and the Hot has a sweeter and spicier kick to it. I would most definitely suggest you get the Hot instead of the Original if you're not too keen on vinegar-y type sauces. Also, it's spicy but not so spicy that you won't enjoy the rest of your food.Overall, good food and nice people. Check them out if you're in the area.

I struggle rating BBQ places around here. Not many are bad, but neither am I generally wowed. So few have any real smoke flavor to their meats. Big Boys (I would choose 3.5 stars, if allowed) is probably in the upper end of this mass of mediocrity. I had been to Big Boys some time ago when I was trying different BBQ ribs. I could swear I wrote a review, but it must have gotten lost somewhere in the changeover from Urbanspoon to Zomato.It's cash-only, but there's a free ATM at the 7-11 next door. As others have said, it's a hole in the wall. The two tables are mainly for waiting, so know that you're ordering takeout. They have a good selection of meats, and the price is reasonable. Strangely, they don't have coleslaw. I ordered ribs and pulled pork, with baked beans and okra. They have some drinks, but grab a Big Red at 7-11 while you're getting cash. The baked beans were OK with a thick, tangy sauce. I'm going to stop ordering okra. So few places fry their own, and I'm tired of the frozen variety. The meats were better, and there were healthy portions. The pulled pork was good, and the ribs were the star of the show. Nice, big, meaty and a tad sweet, they were cooked perfectly. The meat was tender and had a good chew. To just taste the sweet and vinegary house BBQ sauce, I wasn't impressed. But it's darned near perfect for their meat

So..what do u do with ur leftover burnt ends? How about pizza with pickles, jalapeno crisps and jalapeno mustard..yummmmm. Love this place. Made brisket tacos last night.

If you like hole in the wall restaurants, this is one you should check out. From the looks of the exterior and interior, you might easily look past it, but what matters is the food! I ordered the 3 meat combo including 2 sides for under $12!

The meat was good but that's it. No coleslaw or Mac and cheese. It's definitely for take out only as there are only 2 tables which you use to wait. The lady at the register must of been having a bad day. I did get to pay with my visa though

Take out only because of Covid. Ribs and pulled pork were great. I will come back for more, one of the best in the area.

A friend had suggested this place after his experience, so I had to get there to try it.Location is great because it is the only bbq offering in the vicinity. Since it is great; it makes it an even better than just being a convenient offering. They only have a couple of tables, so make note if you are trying to dine in. The parking is sufficient, but there is a lot of foot traffic in the area so try not to run over anyone. They are around the corner on the north side of the gas station.The service along with the food is high quality. I was greeted immediately when entering even though he was in the middle of assisting another patron. The glorious smoker smell was all around, and tempting slices of cake occupied the counter next to the register. They have a daily special, lunch specials, and other typical bbq offerings. The lunch special comes with a meat or sandwich, one side, and a drink.I got the lunch special with rib and potato salad. The ribs were just succulent, and the cartilage was very tender too. I got the spicy sauce which was very flavorful, but the ribs didn't need sauce. The potato salad was definitely homemade and a unique recipe I have never had.The special of the day was brisket nachos, and a few customers ordered that while I was waiting, and the order would definitely feed three people.The fresh preparations make the food worth the wait if you have one. Great friendly people with wonderful ribs brisket and pulled pork. Fast service very reasonable prices. It's a hidden gem.
