What a professional and talented photographer. My fiancé and I were so thrilled with the results from our 2-hour photoshoot with BYP. Bethany knew how to make us feel comfortable and tell us where to go and what to do. We weren't left to just do "whatever". She art directed and shot with professionalism and a true eye for the shot.I am an art director by trade and am very picky about photographers. Bethany is someone that I wholeheartedly recommend. I will be referring my friends and clients to her.

I have to say that I was extremely disappointed in our wedding photography. My Bridal portraits were okay, but I felt like I was rushed the entire session. However, when I got my disk of photos, they were all relatively good. There were several pictures that I was interested in from my Bridal Session, which I did not get. I ask for a disk of all of the photos, and offered to pay for it, and she told me she didn't have them. Just the ones she sent me. On our wedding day, from the minute that we arrived at our venue, she acted confused on what she was supposed to be doing. I had to ask on multiple occasions throughout the day where she was and at one point had to yell for her to get her attention. She was in and out of our wedding as quickly as she could be. We cut our reception an hour and a half short, and I paid for the extra time, which she didn't offer to refund or give a portion back. She is a highly talented photographer in many other avenues, but wedding's are definitely not her strong suit. Not once was I asked what photos were important to me, and I got 1 shot of our wedding party all together, and 1 shot of myself and my bridesmaids together. I didn't get one picture with my flower girl, my ring bearers, no family pictures of my husband and his Dad and sister, not one of my family and myself. Total we spent close to $2K and I would have preferred to spend a little more, or less, and get a total different experience. The most disappointing thing about this experience, was she was recommended by several professionals and mutual colleagues, which made me more apt to trust her ability. I went through all of her pictures online before selecting her and thought I made a good choice. I was wrong. Now all I have left from my wedding day are memories and 200 pictures, which only 3 of them were of my husband and I after our ceremony. I cried when I got our disk.

Well after reading the existing and new review of this young lady I could not help myself, I just had to add my own experiences. Bethany Young Photography is one of the leading photographers in the state. She has some of the best work I have ever seen and is a true mentor to me as a budding photographer. I am somewhat astonished at the review of this particular wedding experience? Not one inkling of the information I read reflects the service, attitude, integrity and talent that I personally have experienced with this photographer each and every time I have hired her! EVERY family photo in our home was taken by Bethany Young Photography. She has captured some of our most precious and perfect family memories providing priceless keepsakes for my husband and I. Anyone can judge for themselves simply by her own response to the negative review what type of stand-up person and business owner she is. Personally I disagree with her offer to "refund" money! It is common knowledge, class and courtesy to 'most' that if you pay for extra time (valuable time to a photographer that cannot allot this time to other clients), and then for some undeclared reason or even unexpected reason such as weather you don't utilize said time....you don't get your money back! She was still unable to fill that time slot with any other activity as she had reserved it for YOU! It is somewhat ludicrous to me to expect money to be returned just because your reception flopped early. Too nice of you Bethany... but on par for the type of person I know and love you to be! I have personally witnessed multiple weddings photographed by Bethany. She is truly one of the more attentive, flexible, people-pleasing photographers I know and goes above and beyond to satisfy her customers. She has never once been uncooperative or unhelpful to us and I have thrown some crazy shoots at her over the years! As a solid customer, supporter and student of Bethany I urge everyone reading to fully disregard the negative, left-field review from the unsatisfied bride! I do wish her day had gone better for her as it sounds like the weather, the venue and the reception were all fails =-/ However, I do not agree with placing the blame on one of the most talented young ladies I know! Please take a look at her website and judge for yourselves! I have a strong feeling there could be underlying issues with the one negative experience versus the hundreds of excellent ones. Oh and as a photographer I can also attest to the fact that anyone asking for "all" their raw bridal portrait photos would be laughed out of the building! It is rude, absurd and downright distasteful to even make such a request. That alone shows me the depth of the negative author/bride, and really should have been a heads up to Bethany right then! ; ) Keep up the solid, gorgeous, award-winning work Bethany Young Photography! I will promote you any day of the week and plan to continue as a satisfied customer for many, many years to come. AA

Bethany Young is an amazing photographer. She spends countless hours editing photos and making sure they are the highest of quality. She has done photo shoots for my senior pictures, family photos, and even some couple photos, and they all turned out beautifully! I have never seen a bad photo from her yet and don't ever expect to! Not only does she spend countless hours editing her photos to make them perfect, but she knows all the right angles and lighting. She is wonderful about making you comfortable and knows how to position you so that you look your best in your photos. There is never and awkward moment with her! She makes you feel like a friend from the moment you meet her. I know Bethany has taken photography classes in NYC at the International Center of Photography and to find someone as talented as her in Oklahoma is VERY rare! I would recommend her to anyone and everyone I know! Getting photos from BYP is an honor and I don't see how anyone could think differently!
