Best of Books

This is my go to favorite local independent bookstore. Best of Books is well curated and always able to order me anything I need.

I LOVE this bookstore!It's not a chain store and you can feel the positive ambiance of an old-fashioned book store when you go in. They have a wonderful children's section that my great-nephew loves. You can find just about any book. (If you don't have the book you want in stock, they will order it for you.) They also have unusual gifts in stock, not just books alone.We love to go to their book signings by well-known authors and illustrators. Very friendly, helpful and customer-oriented.

I cannot say enough good things about Best of Books. They are a staple in the Edmond community. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the store has a fantastic selection of kids books, fiction, non-fiction, and required readings for school. I've been shopping here for years and will continue to do so in the years to come. It's a pleasure to comb through the shelves, but if you can't make it in, their website is easy to navigate. As for COVID-19 precautions, I feel safe in this store. Their staff are wearing masks, hand sanitizer is available, and they have signs up that tell about their sanitization procedures. Thank you Best of Books for continuing to be excellent!

Joe Hight just bought this bookstore, and I can't imagine anyone who could do it more justice. He's one of the most fun and friendly guys I know, a former newspaper editor, and a long-time advocate for the OKC metro area. I stopped by for their 30th anniversary party and it looks like a seamless transition. We had a ton of fun with our boys, ate cookies, drank hot cider, listened to story time and bought some books. A great asset to Edmond.

I wandered in this bookstore a few weeks ago while christmas shopping. If you've ever seen You've Got Mail, you understand me when I say it reminded me of The Shop Around the Corner. It is small, quaint, and well organized. I spent about an hour wandering around and reading. Best of Books has a great selection of children's books, toys, and trinkets. But it is not a store for solely for children. Half of their space is dedicated to books for adults, too. I found more than what I was looking for. One complaint: they didn't have P.G. Wodehouse. But he is not really well known by the majority of readers, so I won't dock the store's rating for that. I definitely recommend this bookstore.

This is by far my favorite bookstore in all of Edmond. It is very calm and has a friendly atmosphere; the staff is nice and is ready to help you if you need it. They have a wide variety of books and they usually have brand new releases the day they come out. If you want some great books for freelance reading come here.

To me, finding a new bookstore is like greeting an old friend. My heart gets very happy and I could sit there for hours spending time with the books (I'm kind of a bookworm). So when I found out this bookstore was right by where I live and I had never been there before, I drove straight there. It. Was. Wonderful. It has such an adorable set up, and such a wide selection of books for being such a small bookstore! The people who were working were SO nice to me and so welcoming, which I appreciate, since I'm THAT bookstore customer that sits around and reads for long periods of time. It was such a cute local bookstore, it made me happy.

We love this place. It's small and quaint but the selection is very good and the service is unparalleled.

This book store offers an inviting, intimate atmosphere and a wonderful collection of books and gifts. They also feature book signing events by local and well known authors. I will definitely return.
