We took our grandsons to dinner at Benvenuti's in Norman and experienced a lovely dinner. When I think of Italian cuisine, I normally don't think of Norman, OK, but Benvenuti's has created a paradigm shift in my thinking.Benvenuti's is definitely some of the best Italian food that you will find in the OKC metroplex. The decor speaks of eloquence. It is rich, charming and comfortable.Complimentary bread, warm butter and olive oil are served. The bread looked like a cibatta roll, but the texture is different than what I'm used to, but it's very good.We started with fried calamari and farnarnia. The calamari was very ordinary. Totally uninspired and bland. We also ordered Farnarnia. Oh my, the farnarnia was to die for. We should have ordered two farnarnia's and skipped the calamari.I ordered lasagna, and was very pleased. The best lasagna I've ever ate. It was hearty, rich, tasteful, just delectable. Loved it being served in a bowl, sitting in sauce. My wife ordered chicken picatta and it was excellent. However, it was served with mashed potatoes which came as a surprise. Must not have read the menu close enough.The service was good, the prices are on the high end of Moderate. My Lasagna was $20 and the chicken picatta was $24. The appetizers were $12 each. The noise levels were acceptable, and the restrauant was busy.We're looking forward to going back..

This restaurant exceeds my expectations every time I visit! My roommate, mom, and I have a tradition of eating here one a year before classes start and I feel like the food and experience gets better every time. We always get the cacio e pepe risotto balls because they are heavenly. We also got Caesar salads before our main meal and even the croutons are homemade. I love that there is so much attention to detail in the restaurant from the food to the atmosphere. The restaurant feels quaint and cozy with the dim lights. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and was even able to withstand my mom's endless questions about the drink menu. If you go, you have to get the crème brûlée. Can't wait to come back soon!

This restaurant is outstanding with one of the best dining atmospheres in Norman. I love all of the pasta dishes. Everything here deserves a chef's kiss! The service is attentive and impeccable. I will definitely return to this wonderful restaurant. Don't miss out on the desserts either!

This place was so delicious. It's definitely one of the most upscale places in Norman. Our waitresses, Maryanne and Emily, were the most hospitable and kind people who have ever waited on me. Their wine list is excellent, and their pasta with mushrooms was so good. They are pretty big portions though, so be prepared for leftovers!

Wooow! That's all I can think of right now - we had an amazing dinner experience!!Be sure to get a reservation early. Huge wine selection. Yummy cocktails. We could not stop talking about the sauce that the mussels were in - it was phenomenal. Antipasti appetizer was very good (eggplant dip was delicious) but there simply wasn't enough bread or anything to put all of the dip & cheese options. All of our entrees were absolutely delicious- seasoned and paired so well!!Desserts were decadent. Waiter was attentive & friendly. Party of 7 unexpectedly became party of 9 (brother-in-law invited himself & girlfriend) - staff was accommodating & I was so grateful.

The food was amazing! The service was very friendly and fast. We made an online reservation for 7:15. When we walked in and mentioned the reservation we were seated within a couple minutes. Water was filled, bread was served, and beverage menu was offered. The mule was good and my husband really liked the peroni beer. It does accommodate all kinds of people. Some were dressed up pretty fancy, some were in pants, hoodies, ball caps. There were families and couples on date nights. It looks fancy but I think it's pretty open and just a nice place to eat. We did have carrot cake at the end. Wasn't the best I've ever had but it was good.

Authentic Italian dinners. I ordered the Rustica and Caesar salad. Delicious! The bread is wonderful and they give you as much as you want. Olive oil and balsamic vinegar is plentiful for dipping bread. We also ordered the meatballs and bruschetta! The lemon drop martinis were so yummy! Our waitress was wonderful and very attentive to our requests. Highly recommend reservations because this place gets busy especially on a Friday or Saturday night.

Came here for Valentine's Day with my bf and the ambiance was perfect for the day! Our server was really nice and she provided excellent recommendations and service. The food was excellent - I had the squid ink pasta and my boyfriend had Veal. The Old Fashioned was delicious and the Tiramisu was great! Would definitely recommend for a date night.
