Barrios is the spot. I come here at least once a week for happy hour, and honestly, I don't see that changing anytime soon. The vibe is always great; the service and food are solid. First off, their Frozen Avocado Drink is something special. It's not what you'd expect; it's super smooth, icy, and refreshing with a bright lime flavor. It doesn't taste like avocado; it's just creamy and light in the best way possible. As for the food, I've eaten my way through the menu, and I have some clear favorites:-Beef Skirt Adobo Fajitas - Packed with flavor, perfectly cooked.-Lamb Barbacoa & Pork Cheek Tacos - Juicy, tender, and worth it.-Braised Beef Short Rib Enchiladas & Short Rib Tinga Chalupa - If you love short rib, do yourself a favor and order these.- Steak Quesadilla - Simple but done so right. It's cheesy and crispy, and I always end up with leftovers for the next day, which is a win.-Lawson Taco Salad - Surprisingly filling and super fresh. (You can also add on different meats for an additional $)And let's talk about dessert, their Grilled Pineapple Tres Leches. Hands down, the best tres leches I've ever had. The grilled pineapple adds this caramelized sweetness that takes it to another level. It's rich, moist, and the perfect way to end the meal. But honestly, the biggest reason I keep coming back? The homemade chips and salsa. They serve warm, crispy chips with a smoky salsa that I could drink straight from the bowl. It's that good. I'd probably still come here just for the chips and salsa alone.

The first time I came here it was for lunch with my wife about three years ago. It was a generally pleasant lunch, with one regrettable incident. I ordered an iced tea, then later in the meal, when offered a refill I said yes. When the bill came, after I had already paid, I realized that they charged me full price for an iced tea refill. Really?? It's tea. Come on, now. I didn't want to bother the staff for a $3.00 refund, so we just left. The petty millennial in me vowed to never return. Yet, there are few decent lunch options online downtown OKC during the workweek, so eventually I relented. I've since been back here a few times. Anyway, parking is tough in the area. This latest visit I was able to snag a spot right by the front door, but more often I have to park about a block away. The interior is beautifully decorated, with comfortable leather chairs at each table in the spacious dining room. It's a nice atmosphere. The food doesn't quite live up to the "upscale" cuisine that you would expect given the otherwise swanky interior, but it's still pretty decent. I especially like the guacamole and chips. The chicken enchiladas were nothing special. Not bad, but not any better than you could get at any number of hole-in-the-wall spots around OKC. Overall 4/5. Good option if you work in downtown OKC and need a place for a comfortable sit-down lunch.

we had a reservation for dinner for six of us and were seated as soon as we got to the restaurant. The service was slow at first, but it seemed like our waiter didn't know that we had been seated. We're given a variety of salsas, which were all delicious along with their freshly fried chips. I had the lamb Barbacoa, which was absolutely delicious! my only complaint is that the portion sizes are pretty small here for the price that's charged. So maybe try going family style and ordering a variety of things. We chose to sit outside and we're happy to find that there was a fire pit and warmers for each individual table. even though it got a little chilly after the sun went down, we were able to keep warm!

10's across the board. I've been a few times before but never got to eat in the patio area. It's now my favorite! The fans, the shade, the people watching. One of the best patios in OKC to me. I was waiting for my bestie and it was her birthday so I had chips and salsa and enjoyed a drink until she got there. It had gummies in it and was so good. She got there and we ordered. I was basic and got the chicken quesadilla and she got the shortrib dish. Both were so good!!!!The spices they used on the chicken were really good. Our server was outstanding. I had a mojito and a remixed dark and stormy. All were great and shout out to the waitress for knowing the right rum for a true dark and stormy and apologizing for them not having it. Can't wait to dine on the patio again.

Adding another review her because we met up here for our monthly Holloway Inn of Court Executive Committee meeting. Their Mexican Wedding iced tea I swear behind, it is like an Arnold Palmer leveled up on crack, in a good way I promise. Also got the fish tacos which were excellent. Have to try some of their more unique or new dishes next time like the salmon. Service was also great and the servers would automatically and continuously fill up my tea. Interior vibe also very chill and spacious (with an outdoor patio for dining as well)!

Fun place that brings some unique ideas to Mexican food that adds some fun flair. It is right in the heart of downtown OKC, and super close to a lot of other fun areas. We went to a Christmas market with my sister, brother in law, and husband right before, and it was right next door. Parking can be difficult but it's worth it!We started out with the chips and salsa. The salsa was a perfect combination of both smoky and fresh tasting. I'm normally more into the lime-y, cilantro-y salsa, but it was a perfect amount of smokiness. The chips! The chips. Amazing! They were thick and had so much flavor even on their own! We also got a sangria and the house margarita to start, which were very reasonably priced and flavorful. For our meal, my sister got the enchiladas, and I got the hot chicken sopes and my husband got the roasted chicken soup with masa dumplings. They were all great! The soup was very fresh tasting and reasonably priced. The enchiladas were flavorful and had a great sauce, but were very small. It was just enough food for my sister with the Chips and salsa, but they are about the size of a Taquito. The green sauce on them is delicious! My favorite was the hot chicken sopes. They were sooooo creative and had an AMAZING flavor. The sopes themselves were thick and had a wonderful texture to them, and the hot chicken was just spicy enough without being too greasy. They were absolutely delicious! Loved them so much. Our server was nice as well, and attentive. Great little place!

The server was great, friendly staff. It was very hot and humid inside. The food was okay, pretty basic. The flavors were not as complex as I wished. They do have a great habenero salsa that you should try.

Not what we expected, compared to other Mexican restaurants in OKC. The food was barely warmed and thus our enchiladas got tough and less enjoyable before we finished. The al a carte side was expensive and not memorable, not enough to share for $5 plate of refried beans. There were only 2 small enchiladas per plate. Also major parking problems at 3:45 pm in the area. On the + side, there's great ambience inside; patio was recommended, but not offered by our host. Service was warm and attentive; evening staff came in during our meal. I suspect the cocktails and beer hours are more popular. Our memory will be the enchiladas with pickled shallots used as both garnish and filling.
