Stan & his staff are great! I started going to Stan to help improve my golf game overall but mainly my "banana slice" that would come and go. He has helped tremendously with that and getting me to make better contact with my irons. What is great about Stan, he is a no bs type of coach. I don't mean a jerk either. He just does exactly what you pay him for. Cuts out the bs and goes straight to your faults and corrects them. He focuses and teaches permanent fixes. You also get to hit outside and see the ball flight just as you would on a golf course. Stan is also well respected as a fitter for clubs too. I respect the fact that i was all in for dropping $$$ to get fitter for custom clubs. He could've easily took my money, but he said "let's get you swinging better first, you may end up liking your clubs better". Gotta respect that. You can tell he really loves the sport and will invest hhis time and knowledge to help someone that has the willingness to learn. Do yourself a favor and take a lesson and see for yourself.

Haven't been here in a while but when I did go it was an OK golf range. I would come here all the time to hit and the range and work on my game. I will be trying this spot out again in the next few weeks so I will definitely update my interview then.

Great experience today getting fitted for wedges today at Ball Golf Center. Chris was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with all aspects of the fitting and did a great job seeing how I actually hit "that shot form that distance " etc. Very impressed with the entire experience. I was hesitant to go and get fitted as my game hasn't been in the greatest shape lately but he put me at ease as did the entire staff. I bought 3 wedges custom fit for the exact same price I could buy them at golf galaxy or anywhere else! I was shocked but it didn't cost a dime more to get the perfect wedges for me. Hitting off grass to fit makes a huge difference especially for me as I have a steeper swing and tend to take a larger divot. We worked the grind and the bounce to help that including the lie of my other clubs. If you're a scratch or just starting don't be intimidated or think it costs more. This is where to go to get clubs!

If you want to play better golf, you will not find a better place to go. Steve and Stan can help you improve every facet of your game from short game, tee shots, course management, to mental aspects. These guys do it all. I'm not sure if you'll find another level 3 TPI certified instructor in the state like Steve Ball. Do your kids play? They got you covered their, as well. Don't waste your time buying new golf clubs off the rack, let these guys custom fit you to your clubs. Hit off of real grass, not mats so you can see your true ball flight. In short, I give them a shot. You won't regret it.

I went here due to a friend who recommended their services. This is the best place to get fitted for clubs. There is no extra cost to being sized and they really take their time to make sure they are what you want. They offer several classes that have shaved many strokes off my game. The driving range is the best in the city and the entire team is knowledgeable and always willing to help.

Not sure how/why you would rate a place without ever having been there... Take it from a continuing customer - Ball Golf is without a doubt a 5-star business! This isn't a golf course, nor is it a golf shop - This place specializes in golf lessons and fitting you for custom-made clubs. Please don't buy into the hype of box-stores "fitting" you indoors, in front of one of those projector screens - You need real-world conditions (i.e. Hitting balls outdoors, off of actual grass). I was fit by the owner, Steve Ball - takes about an hour and after he gets your specific measurements and angles, he rigs up a variety of club brands for you to try out. I ended up going with a set of the Cobra Bafflers and a Callaway Hot-X fairway wood. This is the most important to note: buying your custom-fit clubs from Steve does not cost you any more than clubs off a rack at a box-store! This means you can get clubs that are tailor-made to your height and swing pattern for the same price as buying directly off the rack. Yes, you will need to wait a week or two for your clubs to come in, but it's absolutely worth it! I shaved off an average of 8 strokes when I moved to custom-fit clubs. If you buy your clubs from Ball Golf, they'll waive the club-fitting fee; otherwise, they'll provide you your specs and you can order on your own. I have also taken a lesson from Steve - Awesome experience! He videos you and plays back slow-mo on his iPad to show you what you're doing right/wrong. He'll also email you your pertinent videos for your future reference. Steve's incredibly patient and just downright fun to learn from - He doesn't make you feel small or stupid, and for me, his teaching techniques provided immediate improvement - Can't wait for Spring so I can schedule more lessons. Ball Golf does have a driving range that's much less busy than Hefner, but do be aware: their greens guy will get onto you if you aren't hitting your ball from the same divot... Also, 'tis the season - If you know an avid golfer and are looking for a great/useful gift, highly recommend swinging by and picking up a gift certificate for a lesson or a club-fitting - I've gone this route a couple of times for the golfers in my life and all have loved (and benefited)!

I have had 2 lessons with Stan so far, and I plan to continue seeing him for lessons. He does a great job of incorporating technology into his lessons with trackman while also not making thing overly complicated or technical. He also is great about knowing what things to keep that are working in your golf swing and things you need to change. I would certainly recommend taking more than one lesson while working to implement the changes he recommends. He is very knowledgeable and I was really happy with my choice in going to see him. I now have a better understanding of my swing and how to troubleshoot things while on the course. I couldn't recommend this place enough for lessons. I have not done a fitting here so I cannot comment on that, but I suspect they would be great with that as well.

I spent nearly $1,800 on new clubs supposedly custom fitted. My handicap has gone up by three strokes after using the new clubs. I went to Steve to ask for help and was given an appointment. Upon reaching and parking in the parking lot of Ball Golf, I got a call that Steve has to leave. He ran out, drive up to my car and told me that he will call me and reschedule. No one ever called and now I'm stuck with bad clubs and have lost a small fortune. For whoever is reading this, go buy your clubs from the bigger stores. I won't make this mistake again.

Don't waste your time or money with this business.Me and a friend were fitted for new clubs. At the time of fitting he had us hitting mens cobra irons. And a ladies driver,I told him not to put us in a wimpy ladies shaft and he said he was going to put us in a mens shaft. It took 4 to 6 weeks instead of the 2 weeks as promised. When we went to pick up clubs the owner was not there but one of his employees was there. I questioned why we got ladies club shafts and the grips were not built up enough for my arthritic hands. He stated that we need to take them out and try them. We'll we did and played some of the worst golf ever in the 25 yrs of playing.Within a week of picking the clubs up we went back to see steve and he proceded to tell us it was our swing not the clubs. He had fitted us properly and thats that.So off we went to two other club fitters and lo and behold our clubs were 1/2 inch shorter than a ladies standard. we are 5'7' and 5'6" tall. Also we need a stiffer shaft for our swing speed. And the lie was also wrong. Before with old drivers which were mens we drove 180 to 225 with his clubs 140 to 150.And with the irons 7 was 150 now with his clubs 110.etc.This saga has been going on since the end of may and its now july.We asked him to refund our money 1982.00 minus club fitting fee and he said no.At no time has he ever rechecked our swings nor even look at the the clubs or rechecked them.He said no need to he fit us right and checks the clubs when they come in.The last we heard from him he had called his cobra sale rep and was waiting to here back from him that was two weeks ago and has not returned last call to him.His web site guarantees he will not put you in someting you don't like and gaurantees to add yards to your game.Well we now have 1982.00 worth of clubs that are not fitted to us. WOW what a way to run a business. So BEWARE there is no customer service at BALL GOLF
