Bait Shop Burgers

Clean. One of the only places around far as I can tell!Smells good. Good business traffic in and out. Friendly. Just waiting to see how it tastesUPDATE: fish and hush puppies was delicious. Steak fingers was delicious. Gravy was very good and all was nice and hot. Generous portions. The cole slaw was a bit warm and too much mayo , not enough pickle juice (or vinegar) for my taste. So it was a bit heavy. But maybe that's how it's liked in this area. Salad was warm mostly leafy greens. But it was fresh enough. I'd come back.

The ambiance is kinda weird with fish on the walls. Not sure if it's also a bait shop. But I guess everyone needs a theme. There's a strange sign in the establishment which demands that people remove their masks. Which, yeah that's your right to wear a mask or not, but the aggressive demand is really disturbing. Not worth dealing with it for the okay food.

The sign out front doesn't make me feel welcome as a customer. Owner claims they believe in freedom, while telling me to remove my mask. Seems like freedom, unless it's something they disagree with.

Terrible customer service, and when you try to bring this up or leave a review on Facebook, the owner blocks you and sends you rude messages! Extremely unprofessional.

Amazing burger, excellent fries. Was easily worth the 30 min wait.The locals love the place so you know it's good.

I had the bacon double cheeseburger with wedges it was fantastic. My son and wife loved their burgers as well. I asked about the steak fingers and the girl came to our table with 2 of them to try, those were delicious as well. Would recommend to anyone in the area. Wish I took a picture but it was gone too quick. Service was great. Ambiance was country. Highly recommend.

OMG! If their onion rings and homemade chips aren't in heaven, I'm not going. We arrived at 12:30 pm. Place is small - waited a bit for a table. The gal who took our order was friendly and she made sure she had it right. Hamburger was perfect.

Burgers were amazing. If you're on a road trip and looking for a decent spot to grab some food this was perfect for us and our group of five! Nobody makes burgers like this anymore! Definitely a must have. Almost ordered two more just to take back home! Service was great and the people are friendly. Not too far off the highway either.

Good as the onion rings are, every meal comes with a hidden cost: having to endure a snide little sermon from the owner. If you enjoy being talked down to concerning your private health decisions, this is the place for you! When customers approach, they're greeted by a lovingly decorated chalkboard sign shaming any of them who might be wearing a mask. Those of us with organ transplants or otherwise compromised immune systems really appreciate this scolding, as do our friends and families. (See photos below.)The owner has whined online that any criticism of the sign makes her the victim of an un-American plot against freedom. Poor thing. She holds the freedoms of others pretty cheap: whatever happened to the traditional American virtue of minding your own business?

I genuinely haven't had a better burger in a long time. We were honestly very surprised at the quality and taste in such a small town -- we visit out here often and will MOST definitely be regular customers. I'm surprised we haven't visited sooner. The employees were very friendly and helpful with the questions we had about their sugar-free desserts. The interior would make you unsuspecting of their food quality but overall very cute and well laid out. I wish I could leave 6 stars.To those that are upset about the signage inside -- take a joke. Have a laugh. Calm down.
