ARTSPACE at Untitled

I seldom go downtown -- mostly thanks to the horrible parking scenarios I've encountered many times in the past.That said, parking here at Artspace is generally pretty acceptable. (READ: Far better than at most places downtown.)I've only attended one exhibition here -- one of works by Ying Kit Chan.I had a great time at the one exhibition I attended, though, and hope to return at some point in the near future.I keep hearing wonderful things about the printmaking courses offered here, for example. That sounds awfully fun.

This is a really need historic looking building. For me, the building was as interesting as the art exhibit that was going on inside.Parking was relatively easy as we went in the evening. The gallery had a very fun atmosphere and we saw people of all types enjoying the show. As non-art-community people, I was worried if we would stick out or have a good time but I would say there is something for most everyone.My wife purchased a neat book about an Oklahoma artist at a low cost. Even if you cannot afford the art, you can still take home a momento!

I can't believe I've never reviewed Untitled. Their exhibits focus on contemporary art from national and international artists. For local artists and patrons, Untitled is one of the main centers for outreach in our city. Untitled is home to the Press at Untitled, the city's premiere print making studio. They offer classes in printmaking for beginners up to experts. Check their website for a calendar of classes. I've been coming to shows and special events here for ten years. It is absolutely one of my favorite locations in Oklahoma City. The building has been beautifully restored, preserving many of the historic aspects, while bringing it up to code and expectations for the events hosted here, from low-key artists receptions to very upscale events hosted by (and for) some of the city's top VIPs. If you haven't been here, it's time!

Great art venue, poetry night tonight with some free wine. Lots of talent here highly recommend checking it out

Untitled [ArtSpace] is a gallery housed in a converted downtown warehouse. They specialize in more experimental art and always have something interesting.
