What a great arena, we went for an OU vs UofA hockey game. It was a great crowd and fun experience.

Great place for kids to participate in team sports & grow their skills. It's cold & fairly clean. We did not have food there, but it looked like they had typical concessions available. There doesn't seem to be many covid precautions in place at all, which was a little disappointing. But the kids had fun & we had a great time watching their games.

I come here to watch my little guy learn to play hockey and occasionally we go to open skate where I risk life and limb (Literally) to try not to embarrass myself. I really enjoy their hockey program for kids, it is well organized and a joy to watch kids learn one of the hardest sports to play. They rink offers skating lessons that cater to many subsets of skater - Figure skating, hockey, adult etc. Reasonably priced and can at times be crowded but usually folks like me have a pretty wide berth as to not plow into a crowd. Although it can be a little intimidating to see 8 year olds wizzing past you backwards at high speeds. You may get a bruised ego and a bruised bum, but it's worth doing for some exercise and fun. When it's all over you can give your ankles a rest and enjoy a nice cup of cocoa from the snack bar. Also UCO hockey team plays their games there on the west rink. So if you're itching to watch a very good collegiate game. I encourage you to check their schedule and support a local school.

This place could be soo cool. But the employees are super duper lazy and don't give a F. We had a nice one hour skate until a party of 15 people came in. They came in a took over the whole place. I asked nicely if they could ask them to put masks on. As I just got over COVID and it sucks. The guy said he would go ask. He chose not to. A hour went by and then they had moved to the only entrance in and out of the rink. 5 adults blocking the entrance and making everyone in the rink uncomfortable. There had to be 50 people following the rules but this crew. But I believe because they had a party going on the rink just wasn't going to address it. So I called from my phone and asked the girl at the desk again. Can you please ask the family to put on their masks so people can exit? The girl said sure. And nothing again. Sad they had to put 70 plus people in danger entering and exiting the rink . With numbers in OKC off the charts this is negligent.

I love this place so much! The ice there is top quality except for sometimes or a few ruts. But it's hard to keep it under that kind of maintenance if you have hundreds of people going to do it. Even if it is packed it is so fun and there are never too many people. I suggested for any age I am a skater that is not great but I still enjoy.

I hate to leave a negative post but this place is awful. The ice is deadly. Huge pot holes. The skates, not only dull, but are of limited sizes and selection. The bathrooms are gross. But the absolute worst part, hands down, is all of the teenagers and preteens that hang out there unsupervised. They start fights, bully each other and even those with parents, make out, etc. There is a rent a cop on duty who, even when the teens start fighting and throwing punches at each other or harassing little children, says that he can't do anything. You know what I can do? Warn you to say away.

Although I have been here for open ice skating, my main reason to be here is for hockey. Sadly, OKC no longer has a professional ice hockey team, but Arctic Edge is bursting with minor league, college play, travel teams and adult league so one can see hockey in OKC. They also have a curling team. Plenty of parking around the arena.Arctic Edge has 2 sheets of ice. I am more familiar with the area with the 2nd sheet & will limit my review to that. Nice area, there are bleachers set on the long side of the ice. Bleachers are concrete risers with individual plastic seats attached so your butt's not setting directly on the cold concrete. I take a blanket to set on because it's an ice rink and layers always help. At the top of the bleaches is an area I call the VIP area, which has tables and chairs you can watch the games from. The bleachers set about 6-8 feet from the glass so you do get foot traffic in front of you even though hockey fans know that you don't move around when the puck is in play. With the bleachers only being on one side of the ice you don't get a full view of the ice, the end zones can be hard to see with the curve of the glass between your seat and the goal. They do have a small bleacher area at one corner of the ice that is closer to the ice. There are bathrooms in the area of the 2nd sheet and a snack bar that has hamburgers, fried chicken tenders, etc. The staff has always been helpful and pleasant. Dress warm, the building isn't as cold as some rinks I've been in, but ice is cold. It's a nice place to watch a hockey game, which I would encourage you to do. Check their website for games or for open skating.

Concessions are overpriced and substandard, three employees working concessions, only one doing work other two are messing around and are slow to notice when you are trying to order, skates are uncomfortable ( expected at free skating rink) over all not a complete waist of time, but not an overly pleasant why to spend your night

Jill did a great job of discussing birthday party details. 5 stars for communication. The kids had a great time. Would love the option to bring food in as options are extremely limited. I think they could pay their mortgage if they'd get a liquor license for the parents and aunts of the world.

Both the summer camps and ice skating rinks themselves are horrible. I'll start with the ice rink itself. At first, it's pretty nice. Skates are quite cheap and it has a nice atmosphere. However, that's where the good things end. The employees often give you the wrong skate size, which you would think would be the easiest part of their job. Oh well, it's not a big deal. Next, the food there is outrageous! I took my kid and their friend here once and they both got hungry, so I ordered them some fries and bottled water. It took 20 minutes for our food to get out! The fries were cold and it was a small portion. Complete waste of three dollars each. On the day we were there, we were told that the summer camp kids would not be there that day. But about 20 minutes into their session, all the little toddlers of the summer camp came running in. There was absolutely no control over these kids. They were running each other over, going in every direction possible, annoying my kid and their friend, and more. Now, onto the summer camps. At first, it seems fine, and a nice place to have your kids. But, after a little, you begin to see just how bad this place is. The building was crawling with bugs, the staff had absolutely no control over the kids, (kids pulling fire alarms, sneaking into the under-construction ice rink, etc without consequences), and many other things. One of the main problems of the summer camps was that we did not get what we paid for. The ice skating camp was fine, not really any problems there. The problem was with the gymnastics camp. For about the first 2-3 days of the week, the kids did gymnastics, like they were supposed to. But after that, they were made to do ice skating. My kid asked the employees why they weren't doing gymnastics and was told that the head staff member there was sick, so they couldn't go. This was pretty disappointing considering the gymnastics class cost more than the ice skating class. I tried many times to get a refund on at least some of my money, since I did not get what I paid for. This was a very long and tedious process, as I could not get anyone to call me back or email me for months. Once I finally got a response, it was found out that the kids couldn't ice skate not because the staff was sick, but because parents were complaining that their kids weren't ice skating. How ridiculous is that! You sign your kids up for a gymnastics summer camp and you expect them to go ice skating??I finally got my money back and was offered 2 free weeks of summer camp there..I don't know why on Earth I would want my kid to go back after our experiences here.
